The giant metal gate is a obstacle intended to stop landing craft from landing at high tide. (Forgot the name but remember its called a Belgium gate)

They were also used later to block tanks ways and force them to turn or to at least get slower.
They were called belgium Gate or "Belgisches Tor" in German

they are called belgian gates
they where first used by the belgian army to halt german tanks, then the germans used them un the beaches
That gate you saw is called a Belgian Gate. They were designed by the French and Belgians during WW1 as a sort of mobile barrier. They could be easily transported to a fortified location to for example block off an entrance to a fortress or to even serve as an anti-tank barrier, similar to a Swiss hedgehog.

Stealraven7 (the dev) has said that he doesn’t want to make a multiplayer feature for multiple reasons however there is a multiplayer mod

Loved the video Baron! The gate you saw is called a Belgian gate, it's designed to stop the landing craft or at least trap them. Also, no ravenfield isn't multiplayer yet, but I am sorry if I shot you with what looked like a Panzershrek as well as for running into your line of fire.

Not really, it’s pretty easy to find the mods on the workshop and most of the mods he uses are pretty inaccurate

the purpose about those gate things are slowing down tanks since they go slow and if they go around it makes them a bit more slower it slows them down by blocking theyre path it slows theyre path in getting to the frontlines

Those hats were on the beach to stop the Higgins boats from advancing too far up the beach, giving the Germans more time to shoot the attackers. Obviously turning the boat on the sand wouldn’t work.
Baron I’m very surprised you didn’t know but all that stuff on the beach was intended for boats to mess up the boats but the d day invasion happened to be on low tide so no of those defenses worked out
Baron, I miss the old days of ravenfield, I decided to watch one of your older videos from like 4-5 years ago and it makes me sad because when I was 10 you were my favorite youtuber and ravenfield was all I watched, even watched your same videos over and over and now seeing that the game has improved alot has made me sad, I miss and love the old models of everything
Except ravenfields optimisation at the time was absolutely horrible and modders had less tools to use.
Also you can play classic ravenfield with just a few mods

those gate looking things were picked from French Maginot line, originally they were connected next to each other, creating a very long, unpassable obstacle, however after Germans defeated French, they placed them like every other tank obstacle on the beaches. Just like they picked the x looking tank obstacles from Czechoslovakia(they are called czech hedgehogs).

Hi baron, I got ravenfield because I watched your videos, and I love all the mods in the game, some times I play in the American revolution or I'm in modern day, there is so much to!
That gate is usually underwater and it will catch the vehicles as they go by usually the are used with other fortifications though and in much bigger quantities
Baron you are a great youtuber and if you ever believe you aren't remember the better side of life
they had those gate things to possibly stop the u boats or whatever they are called from opening the ramp so they would be forced to jump out the sides and drown or to get shot, so they were meant for high tide kind of, but sometimes map creators put them in random places that's why you can find some like 2 feet in front of a bunker. idk if this is correct but i mean what else could they be for?
