I found some used pins on ebay, and got bushings from Messicks I believe, I found the same bushings here: ebay.us/hxIRJp If you order from messicks, watch because they have several types of bushings and some of them were $200 or more for the same thing as a $30-40 bushing, guess they must be a different brand or something, They do also have the pins if you need them, but they are pricy. Mine are holding up nicely!
The first time around it took me most of the day, the second time around it took me maybe 2 hours or so, it's heavy and thus very dangerous if the arm falls or anything but it was not a terrible process and now its so much better to operate the machine, arm doesn't wobble all around.
Good video I should do my pivot pins and my swinger bushings but my injection pump just went but these triple nickel Ford backhoes are such great machines if I ever won the lottery I would rather completely restore my 1978 rather than buy a new one!!!
I had an issue with my IP fuel pin sticking, I filmed a bunch of stuff but ended up not making a video about unsticking it, but my machine is running again now, so maybe I should dig up that footage and make a video just in case yours might just need the same thing mine did
@@trythistv that would be great because sometimes it runs but it misses on one cylinder but recently it only runs when I put diesel in a empty spray container and keep giving it a mist every few seconds and I don’t know if it is the pump or the injectors and I can’t afford either at this time 😀
Check out this video, I'm not sure which pump your tractor would have, mine has a CAV style that is covered in this fellows video, ua-cam.com/video/h26p78YZIr4/v-deo.html This video helped me see how the injector pump goes together, I didn't remove mine from the tractor, I just did the top cover stuff that he removes from 17:20-25-23 in that video 24:10 he shows the governor pin/shutdown pin and explains the issue you can have, this is the thing is that was stuck on my pump, I cleaned everything and polished that pin up until it moved without any resistance in the little hole it sits in. 44:29 he starts reassembling the top housing stuff.
I might as well be watching from the neighbors house how you removed the bushings. I saw a little bit of welding and a hydraulic Jack used on the bottom. And that’s alli got out of it. Not a useful video at all.
I mean you remove one bolt and then drive the pin out with a hammer, then cut the bushing out with whatever your favorite cutting implement is. Most of my old bushings had disintegrated so I only had to cut off remnants, had the camera set to time lapse instead of record properly, didn't realize it until it was too late, still not exactly rocket science, but incredibly dangerous so maybe it's good that it isn't super clear, if you can't figure out how to do the job, it may be better not to, as that boom will crush you like a pancake if you don't support it properly
Where did you get the pins and bushings for it please if you can help me find them because I have the same problem?

How long did it take you?

I thought mine had a lot of play lol. Looks like I have another 10 years before mine need it haha
This thing would swing side to side several feet at the bucket from the bushing play.
It has held up great thusfar after doing this.
Doesn't teach anything. Make a full video showing the actual removal and installation of new parts. Struggle and all. Useless video

It don't show me how it's done sorry
Almost worthless unless you live close and want to do mine.
With enough grunting, swearing and some brute force I'm sure you can do it!
