Your Walmart yarn section is ginormous compared to my local store, there is a shortened 1/2 shelf of yarn, period. I always have to order on line no matter which hobby store it is needed from and I’m in a HUGE city! I have made a couple of projects out of the Anemone pink/maroon color in RH ombré it is pretty too.

Our Walmart recently remodeled and the yarn section was made smaller! All the crafting isles were reduced. It’s terrible. I used to be able to count on them for things and those days are gone! I, too, remember when red heart was under $2 per skein. Love watching your shopping trips!

As a breast cancer ( more than once and in both breasts) survivor, I am so appreciative of all of the effort that you went through to show your support! Thank you so much! I love your shawl patterns and have about 15 of them made up (mostly in pinks) to donate to the cancer center for women who are going through treatments. Just doing what I can to give back.
I just used several red heart that were 8oz skeins in as that what they were and the tag said $1.88. They were from Woolworth I think early 80’s.
I remember it being 1.97. Your Walmart has more selection than mine does. The pink probably 💗 is gone due to breaat cancer awareness. Good to see you shopping for us to see what they had. The teal is pretty also. 🦋🤎💛🧡 Thanks for sharing with us.
Yah the main stays went up about a dollar
I remember it being 50 cents but it wasn't super saver! My gram back in the day when not using thread would only use red heart yarns. We had a Ben Franklin store close by and she would stock up on yarn. Ben Franklin was your variety type store, they had a great crafty section.
Your Walmart has a larger selection than mine. And our Walmart yarn department has recently down sized alot.
@June, I thought the same thing. We don't have nearly as many options.

I love that teal ombré & can’t wait to see the poncho!!! I have the Walmart app & I always check the app to see if what I want to buy is in stock at my local Walmart. I live in a very small town & our Walmart stinks. I live about 10 miles away from it & I have saved myself many a useless trip into town that way. But mine does carry the Premier Puzzle yarn & I love to work with that yarn. They just don’t always have enough skeins to make something large out of it. That’s a real bummer, too.
Karen you can always order premier yarn online from the company. Premier has become my go to yarn. Based in NC, very fast to ship out.
@@juliegilmore913 Thanks for the reminder! I keep forgetting that they are based in the Carolinas. I’m an NC native now living in SC just south of Charlotte, NC. I’ll start ordering from them online & only use Walmart when I want yarn immediately & it’s in stock at my Walmart!
I heard that a lot of places are struggling to get their yarn shipments. Everything is shorted right now with the shortage of truck drivers, etc.

I remember when the Main Stay yarn first came out and they were $1.79! Dang! should have stocked up back then if I'd known they'd go up! Your Walmart yarn section is huge!

Super saver is currently $3.39 at my local Walmart and it's been the same for about 5 years. That's the cheapest I've seen it, too.

Love how supportive and attentive Mr. BOD is, it’s darling 🙏🏼💕👍🏼. You know how the toy section looks the day after Christmas?? Ransacked!! That’s what the yarn section looks like ALL the time at my local Walmart. If I drive 30 minutes away, it’s way better stocked and organized.

Teal is pretty! I know it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but teal is the awareness ribbon color for my particular brand of weirdness, Myasthenia Gravis. I wish my Walmart had even HALF of what your Walmart did. My daughter is my shopper since I'm still staying isolated and she agrees that our Walmart's yarn section looks like sadness.
I recently went to Walmart after not going for years. The yarn department was horrible. But I did buy some of the mainstay yarn to try it. It would be nice if they had more colors, but then again I say that about every yarn I buy.
I've used the teal,purple, and green to make your poncho's they turned out beautiful! I have them as gifts!

I went to my local Walmart today and I was surprised they had the Red Heart Ombre in Jazzy! Since I'm going on a road trip, I plan on crocheting with this yarn. Thanks for the video, you inspired me. I hope you are able to purchase some of this yarn soon.

The closest Walmart to me just did a remodel and took half the yarn isle away. It used to he a nice selection and now there's hardly any there. I do want to get some of the Jazzy ombre. The Redheart ombre is my favorite yarn!

My Wal-Mart yarn section is about the size of the endcap. I think some stores might just be getting rid of yarn.

For the first time in five years my Walmart yarn section was packet and had some new choices . I was SHOCKED ! I love the mainstay sparkle .

I would love to have that kind of selection of yarn at my Walmart. Our shelves are always 1/2 to 3/4 empty! I'm really lucky to find any yarn that I want to use. I've never seen the Red Heart Ombre, or the Mainstays brand, and the LionBrand selection is skimpy at best.
It seems like Walmart downsized their yarns. Mine doesn’t seem like it has as much.

I love the RH ombre! I have made many things with that yarn. Wal-Marts around me have only half an aisle of yarn with a heavy need to be restocked.

Your Wal-Mart had a bigger selection than what is available in my local Wal-Mart. That is a big part of why I have started shopping online.

I bought the ombre like that to make blankets for my grandbabies! C2c blankets and matching beanies! One was a unicorn, one a kitty, and one a knight's helmet! They turned out so cute!

Yay on the TEAL. Teal is for Ovarian Cancer, a fight that I continue. June is Ovarian Cancer Month. So I'm old as the hills, I remember buying Red Heart at Woolworths Downtown Columbus OHio for $1.29. This was maybe early 80's

Your Walmart is so neat compared to mine in Long Island NY. Their yarn section is very small and the yarn is all tangled and looks like a sad, sad hound dog. I wish I could go to your Walmart but I would have to take an Uber to the airport and then book a flight out to where you live and then rent a car to go to your Walmart. It doesn’t make sense so I will continue buying online and crying over the poor selection my Walmart in Long Island has. Your Walmart is the best! I am blessed to have 4 Walmart near me (15 minutes) in different directions and they all stay pretty well stocked. 2 of them better than the other 2, but usually if one is out they will check the other surrounding ones for me and I can almost always find what i need

I remember Red Heart being around 1.80 something. I'm using the Teal Ombre right now to make a Tunisian half double crochet afghan for my grand daughter's birthday. I LOVE Ombres.

Waiting impatiently for your tutorial, using this teal ombré.😉 I have been to Walmart twice, since you shared this, and now have two 66qt plastic storage bins of ombré. Some of the ombré, I already had, but omg, I am definitely developing an addiction. I am using the ombré with a 6.50MM hook, to make a loose stitch toddler blanket. The gradual gradient color changes, are beautiful! I hope she and her Mommy, like how it turns out.

I'm making a blanket out of the RH black ombre in a rib stitch. Started out as a scrarf, hubs thought it had a "cool" snake skin look...so off to 2 Walmarts in one day to get more to make it a blanket. He loves how it's coming along, so he ordered some in Hickory. First time in 13 years he's ever bought yarn!

My Wal-Mart seems to be deleting their craft section. I can never find what I want even in other sections of the store.
I won a pink purse for Breast Cancer Awareness. My service dog, Cheeko and I collected $590 for Breast Cancer. Every time someone asked me about Cheeko; I would talk to them about him and then ask them for a donation for Breast Cancer.
I wish any of the 5 Walmart’s within 20 minutes of me looked like that, holy cow. I’d have a blast there.
