The plant is beautiful. Because of its need for humidity I’ve switched to Leca with almost all my plants. The transferring to Leca means that the plant must develop water roots. I’ve tried 3 methods. #1 Clean ALL organic matter from roots until white and then in Leca. I make sure that the roots are fully covered with water. #2 Clean ALL soil off and put them in water to develop water roots. #3 Cut all the roots off and either use Leca, or Fluval to build roots. The myth that the roots will root ifthe water level is to high is false. How’s it possible to build water roots without the roots being in water? With time and depending on the root system of the plant eventually the roots will grow down to the moisture which in time develops water roots. Basically all my hydro plants roots stand in water. That’s when I know it’s time to repot. Regardless of the method the soil roots will rot which means that after 1 -2 months the roots should be checked and the dead roots pulled off the plant. One very important point is to soak the Leca at least 24 hrs. to enable it to absorb moisture. It’s also helps the plant adapt to a new environment. Also by shaking the pot while holding the plant will settle the plant in position. With a vessel with no holes it’s necessary to “flush” the plant periodically to get rid of salts and chemical buildup from the fertilizer. Have you made a video of preparing/cutting holes in a glass vessel for semi hydro use. This enables air to circulate through the vessel and helps to prevent root rot. Good luck. When is the update coming? Thanks for the video.
I totally spaced on creating the second video on how each did in the various methods! But I will say they all did really well! No casualties and all thrived and were sold at The Soil Bar shop.
What is the desired electric conductivity range for them?
Very nice plant , and thank you for sharing
They are absolutely beautiful.. 😍

So how are they doing? I want to do mine because I eventually want to switch all of my house plants to leca.
Did you switch to LECA yet? I moved my Philodendrons (2 mamas, 2 babies), just 2 days ago. I want to know if Maranta's love it too.
They did great in the leca!

@@TheSoilBar Great, my marantas have been in LECA (from water propagation) for about week and already pushing new growth
