I hope I get to meet her when I visit in May. I love Downton Abbey of course, but I'm more interested in the history of Highclere Castle. Lady Carnarvon is playing such an important role in preserving a special part of British heritage. Very admirable of her to make Highclere her life's work.

It would be so nice to see Highclare for Highclare itself. Lady Carnovan (excuse spelling) has with the Earl brought this home to life. I am so pleased to see the original Rolls Royce recovered to once again grace the drive way of the estate. This will give future generations an idea of lives lived past. Congratulations to all concerned love from Steve

Erm it's not her real voice.. it's a put on.. she also does an annoying very breathy voice on many of her Instagrams. Don't be fooled by this woman.. .. she's not what she presents to the world. As many of the former and current employees of the estate could attest. Skinflint accountant. Ex: you get one half a scone.. one half! With the high tea she advertised for £125.00 per. She also advertises it as having full butler service.. uhm it's cafeteria style with plastic table cloths etc

What a lovely human being she's is.. I don't know how she retains all those dates and details.. so bright and interesting. Well I have to say I find the Egyptian basement a hit weird and obviously a money earner they needed but then all these things are discussed in downtown abbey also... the difference and difficulties of maintain enormous houses and palaces like this. Hampton Court is the same ...
I think the idea of the upper classes and the way the were having to marry into wealth.. a strange conundrum that men sought women whom they could take their wealth and yet a time historically where women were I'll treated and demeaned in all areas of society. Very sad....
Henry the 8th was a monster... I am glad the monarchy do not have all say and powers ... but gosh it's only been 100 years since that has shifted....
