If you painted with Scuff-X in a matte, would it have a lot less scuff resistance?

Not necessarily. Matte finishes have less washability, yes, but the Scuff-X in Matte doesn’t lose out on the scuff resistance.

Would this be a good paint for kitchen cabinets?

I have not tested it to see if it will hold up to the oils that inevitably get on doors and drawers. But I have tested Command, Advance, PPG UltraLast, and C2 cabinet paint, and they did pass the rigorous tests. Check out this video for more info ua-cam.com/video/X0HMxlMm584/v-deo.html
