Thanks for the review. At 64 years old, I’ve become very sensitive to the potential for body parts getting bent or broken if I happen to have an accident. (Haven’t had an accident since 1978, but I know to never say never!) I was just about to shop for body armor when I ran across your review. Thanks, Cruiseman!
Now we’re talking. CE L2 is top of the protection food chain. Well done here Cruise. I didn’t get a heart for my GWRRA comments, hopefully this one earns one. 😂
Man, I love my Bohn armor pants....had them maybe close to 7 years. Just ordered the winter pants with the new level 2 armor and the mesh summer pants shell. I now have all 3 versions for year round wear. I love my favorite mesh armored jacket with removable waterproof liner...I wear it from 20 degrees (with layers) all the way to over 100 degrees...so I'm good on top, but I might look at their shirt with armor too down the road. Thanks for this video.
I just ordered my first Bohn Armor shirt. I'm looking forward to still having protection and it being cool enough for here in Eastern Tennessee. Thanks for the discount, Chris!! Stay Safe!
My wife and I own a complete set each of Bohn based on your previous review. I will check out the new items and most likely upgrade the armor itself if possible
I really appreciate the review and it looks like a quality product. Seems like the lighting is really lacking for the video though. It was really tough to see the armor except during the cut away scenes.
Excellent video Chris, I don’t back out of the garage without my gear on every time all the time. This looks like extra insurance to me. Expensive but as my dad always told me when I was growing up, son, you can’t put a price on good health. I’m going to take a good look at this.
Every time I go for a ride I tell myself, if I go down, I'm going down wearing exactly what I'm wearing right now. So I gear up before swinging a leg over the seat.
I ordered the Bohn Armor shirt. Always looking for cool protection when riding in the Arizona heat. Thanks, Cruiseman. As a new GW owner, your videos have been a big help in caring for my GW. Again thank you.
I went straight to the Hot Weather section of Bohn Armor’s website and was surprised that they didn’t offer the mesh gear in a light color. It was 111 degrees yesterday where I live and I’m not going to wear black. IMHO
Why no specific fasteners or straps or velcro.... to hold the armor close to the body and in position during a slide or impact. Just look at all the professional armor gear for a reality check.
Discount code is CG2021GW

Just ordered a pair of pants. Need to start somewhere. I have a jacket with protection in it already. However it requires a crane to lift it. LOL

Bohn told me they are planning on adding pockets for chest armor.

I think you will be impressed.

Really hard to video black parts.
@@cruisemansgarage Maybe better lighting? Looks like you made the video in a cave.
But if you improve the lighting how is he going to have the cool CG light illuminating the scene from the background?
Dark mood lighting is great for intimate scenes, not so much fire gear reviews of dark colored objects. Crank up the lightning

@@savage22bolt32 good advice Savage
The main reason I bought the pants is that my motorcycle pants did not keep the armor in place.
FYI - Wearing a black shirt and showing the black armor in the video, it disappears against you, i.e. can't actually see the armor.
Yeah, I could have done better with that.

March 2022. This New England winter has been so long & cold I don't even remember what hot weather is like!
Another great review Chris. Thanks for including the comparison w/ Icon D30. I’ll take a look at the Bohn gear.

They do have white mesh shirts.
I just got the black in...it is so ventilated will not matter.
Nice overview of the Bohn. The right product name is D3O, (D 3 Oh), not D30
I would think if a slide wore thru your pants, the nylon mesh in these could melt into your skin
Won't the textured part give you some degree of friction burn vs using the smooth side against your skin? Trade off with breathability I guess.
too dark man... how bout some more lights?

I could not read what the Bohn Armor discount code was? Can you place it here by chance?

Paul, is the current code not being accepted/honored? I do not have an updated one.
@@cruisemansgarage no it has expired
They emailed me back and said they reinstated it...
Body armor won't do squat if you get hit by a car.....Well maybe it will contain body parts as a container..........
Road rash ain't fun.
My 6 yr old self couldn't go swimming for a long hot summer because I fell off my bicycle. I still have scars.
I have the Bohn system Fantastic Gear, tops and bottoms.
