Thanks for sharing info on different clothing. I've found the windbreaker to be very versatile. Mine is large enough to wear over the mesh jacket that allows air space so the windbreaker doesn't get sweaty. If I pack heat, it's in the side pocket of the "tank" bag without closures. A piece wears you out carrying it a jacket or vest.
After your review a few years ago, my wife and I bought and regularly use our Bohn body armor (underneath pants and shirts) but haven’t checked their website lately for new products. I’ll check it out. On a side note:I paid full price for your maintenance videos when I bought my first Wing last June. Bypassing the dealerships, they paid for themselves after doing a few basic routine maintenance items. Including changing my air filter which is a pain in the ass, but made easy enough with your step-by-steps. Worth every penny!
I actually purchased one of the Bohn Armor black Kevlar jackets a little over a week ago. Haven’t been able to wear it on a ride yet. Northern Ohio is getting closer to trying it out. I’m stoked as this is just what I’ve been looking for as a mid-to-cool riding jacket. I purchased a 3X to have a little room in case I have a sweater or thicker shirt on. It’s well constructed. I don’t have a need for the conceal/carry pockets. I was a little stunned that the zipper is Euro style, on the opposite side that I am used to. It’s similar to my cold weather Sedici jacket having the zipper “backwards”. When I first put it on, the shoulder pads were “wonky” and weren’t sitting right. Looked like I had wings. But I got them settled in and it fits great. Sturdy, not too heavy, and doesn’t feel bulky. I’m looking forward to making it my go to jacket for cooler weather.
Great review! Thank you for your for showing off the unique features of the jacket. We also appreciate your candidness as we are always striving to improve our products. We'll be taking your suggestion on hi-vis and maybe we'll have something for those folks in the fall. Once again, great video Chris!
My wife and I both use the Bohn under armor after seeing your report. It is great, particularly on hot summer days. I use a Rukka 2 piece suit for riding in cooler months. It has a zipper that secures the jacket to the pants, as does my summer gear. The zipper is a prerequisite of my riding gear in any season. This was made clear when a riding friend crashed at speed on the road. The scrape injuries to his tummy and back were lurid, and last way too long. That memory obviates a Bohn type riding jacket for personal safety concerns. Looks great, though!
Thanks for this. I’ll check out Bohn Armor. I took advantage of your maintenance videos sale. Haven’t used them yet, but I’m sure they will come in handy. I have and will continue to watch your accessory installation videos on UA-cam. They’ve really come in handy as I’ve added several accessories on my bike over winter. Looking forward to another riding season here in central Canada. Spring is finally in the air, although a little ways off yet. We still have about 4’ of snow on the ground.
Nice review, I always wear a Helite air vest on top of a Dane gore tex pro jacket. Are airvests popular in the US, is it something you’ve ever considered? There are many different types some with subscription updates that are cheaper to buy but cost more in the long term, I prefer the Helite as it just tethers to the bike if it’s ever used the replacement canisters are pretty cheap.
I purchased the Bohn Body Armor Riding Pants both the All weather and Cool Mesh. They are a great product , sturdy but light and very flexible and also easy to wash and maintain. One other feature that is nice about their products is that once you buy the armor itself, you only need buy addition shells as the armor itself can be transferred over and additional shells are not expensive. Overall they are great to work with.
What are you wearing under your helmet that covers your neck. Bought the maintenance videos for the 01 to 17 goldwing yesterday. Am going to ck the jacket today. THANKS.
Hey, twinsies. 6'2ish, 185ish. LT. Looking forward to checking out this jacket. Thanks. Why is it we rarely see other motorcycles on the road in your moto vlogs? ( are you so fast you're always way out front?) Ha
As usual my friend you give an awesome review but I need too ask a very serious question in regards to personal safety while riding your bike. Can you confirm to me that someone like yourself who has a gps/ go pros on the bike would not negatively impact on your personal safety if a airbag deployed, would love to see you do a full review and safety advice on a bike like the 2022 full tourer limited with air bag ( Australian designation ) for dct/ airbag equipped that I have ordered. It would be much appreciated, again I fully enjoy your blogs. In my opinion they are the best I have seen in many a year👍
Love the new intro. I have commented elsewhere how I love the fact that us riders can share and talk about our joy of riding regardless of what we ride or where we are from. I already have their Armored Riding Shirt so thought I would order the flannel shirt with no armor and wear it over the riding shirt. But tried to use your coupon code and get this message "Sorry, this coupon is not applicable to selected products." Maybe that is only good for the jacket...
Dennis - We went ahead and made the coupon so you can use it for anything. It was set for only the jacket, but you can now use it for anything. :-) Thank you.
Good Morning Cruiseman once again couldn't get on the maintenance videos could you send me link again please I purchased the videos last year. Thanks Mark
the gear looks great. I switched to high vis gear so I look more like a traffic cone or highway worker when I ride. Promised the wife I would be safer and I prefer to be seen. Great video. I loved the change (riding to breakfast).

Very nice jacket and gives it a nice casual look.

Chris, great video review! I like to hear and see something like this prior to buying
First time and I have subscribed!

Dress for the slide and live to ride🤙
You probably don't need to buy gear because you are always getting gear to test. I was wondering if you had any dealings with ChromeBurner motogear?
Sorry, I have never heard of them, so no.
Great review of the jacket
Looking for your Maintenance on the 2016 models are used all I see is the 18 thoughts are out of my range but thanks anyway

Why would you not?
Actually, I only carry when on a road trip. I just had it in there for demonstration purposes today.
