I read online several reviews saying that the adaptor from the pier was designed to fit an EQ5 tripod, and that it was slightly too large diameter to fit the HEQ5 pro tripod. This obviously wasn’t your experience?
    Thanks, nice video

Very helpful video - I have a used Explore Scientific Twilight - Heavy Duty mount with the same peg - and wanted to see if the Pier would work with my mount. You answered my question that hte PE200 has an adapter!

I'm glad I was able to help. My whole reason for making this video for just the Sky watcher. If I was able to help one person, then that makes my day ! Thank you for your comment !

I just got an EdgeHD 8" and the first night out was short but I had great seeing. AM5, TC40, ASIAirPlus, 50mm guide scope w/ ASI120MM (yeah, I know) and I managed 0.49" for 1hr 21mins (balanced RA/DEC). What counterweight is that? I'm considering one even though I always put 12lbs in the sling under my TC40.

lol Yes on the 120mm, Thats good guiding with a 50 mm guide scope.. I use the Celestron OAG with the 174mm mini and i get about the same, maybe a little lower ( Not Much) The counter weight is home made, its about 6 lbs. I do have a couple of 11 lbs weights as well, but this little one works perfectly, plus I weigh down the tripod too.

@@bfgmetalworks Celestron OAG w/ 174MM is my long term plan. I thought I'd give the regular guide scope a try on the first night imaging. I haven't bought the OAG or the new camera yet either. I was pretty happy with the performance using the old guide scope from my refractors. I'll be honest... good seeing and Bode's Galaxy probably made the results better than I should expect. 😀
