On the Cape these are typically called Choggies. They not usually found in that part of the canal (I don't think they can't deal with the current) but they are EVERYWHERE on the East End/Sandwich Marina. For most kids around here, their first fish is a choggie. I've never had much luck live lining them but they work pretty well as chunk bait for Bluefish.
@@MadMarcMulligan growing up onnlong island we always used blood worms for porgies they were a by catch hooked about 4 inch one had about a 26 inch fluke follow it up
I got a Rule for the list. Foul hooks and snags don't count. Unless it's for sturgeon. Also, paddlefish need to be on the list. Some states they are plentiful. If you catch one in PA you could help out some research, but your chances are slim.
U guys are legit now lol thats sweet. Me and my buddy are from buffalo and both were with you when u were under like 5k. We didnt even realize it til i mentioned a video while fishing for walleye lol
@@HeySkipper ya it blew our minds we both found u guys. Love it haha. But if you ever come through buffalo and want to catch some salmon or walleye lets do it! Lol
Pretty cool you went to On The Water. Their migration chart is really helpful. Striper fishing is starting to pick up now. They just have to get to your bait before the catfish do. That snagged tog was a nice bonus. I'll take them all day over rockfish. They are delicious.
Maybe I should have e planned! A tog is a delicious eating fish that is quite uncommon to catch in the canal. People usually catch stripers, bluefish, or mackerel. Tog are delicious and fatty so I was excited to eat it 😋
Is there any other way to access the list bc it’s not letting me buy the PDF Can u just post pics on you tube and I’ll screen shot them? Sorry for the trouble and if u can’t post a pic it’s ok 👍
Hey just thought you'd like to know when I picked up my first ever fishing setup yesterday the dude in the shop knew your channel and I'm all the way in Western Australia, look at you two being all famous and shit :p
Ready for the new name change! Full support from us 👍 That guy for On The Water was really cool! He really took interest in the video and went beyond than just simple answers! Respect
Thanks so much for the support!! Kevin was really awesome to talk to- you’re right, the whole team went above and beyond! Wish we could have included more from our tour there!
Oh man!! We are already back in our home state of Maryland but we will be making another trip later this year in the fall and would love to come by and talk!
Idk what’s all on the list, but the catfish one should be a bit more nuanced, like catch and blue-cat 25+lbs, and channel-cat 10+ lbs, and a flathead(yellow-cat) 20+ lbs. also try to catch 100lbs of fish in one day.
Whats up skipper, love all you vids keep up the awesome work and could you shout me out on the next vid. I subscribed to your vids since the first day you launch your UA-cam channel and all your tips and techniques help me a lot, whether i am out fishing on the JETTY, PIER AND SURF, 😉😉😉😉😎😎😎😎
WAIT, I JUST SAW CLICKBAIT THAT SAID YOU WHERE NO LONGER SENKO SKIPPER DID I NOT, NO???? I THOUGHT I DID, YOUR NAME IS THE SAME!!!!!!! WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the Water is really a great magazine I'd never heard of before. I'm so glad I watched your video and learned about this publication.
Cape cod is one of my favorite places in the world.
The old guys that fish the canal use shingles to float their bait out tonthe middle. Works really well.

Can’t wait for the 22 report. Once it goes off at the north river. It’s on.
come back to cape cod!!!
You have to come fish rexham beach, marshfeild mass.
Hay skipper
There is a small pond behind Herring Run Motel. Literally right on the canal.
Get some shiners and hit that pond next time.
Well done!!!🎣😎
Thanks for always watching, Cheryl! We hope you liked it!
👍👍👍
Happy to see you in my state!

That red fella is called a cunner good chunk bait. Also there is other places to fish on Long Island besides the Mecca that produce big fish
Cunner aka bergal
I’ll have to try it as bait next time!

Okay!
The small red fish was a wee wrasse
Come to Ocean shores or Westport WA
PUTTING IT ON THE BUCKET LIST 👍🏼
5:45 the fishing
The orange fish you caught was a bergall
😎😎💪💪👍👍
Awesome!
How can you keep that fish if you snagged it, is in not illegal to snag fish in MA?
It's gonna die anyway
This wasn't illegal, it was just a foul hook. Foul hooking is accidental and not illegal, snagging is intentional and a criminal offence.
Heeeeyyyyy Skipper! Suitcase Erin please.
Coming up 😂😂
I believe the small fish you caught was called a cunner or sea Perch there very good to eat they get up to 12-16 inches
Wow! I will have to try it next time! Thanks for letting me know!
next goal create ur own magazine!

Tip for the canal instead of casting directly infront of you cast the opposite of the tide
Hard to believe.

Never heard of On the Water magazine. I'll have to check it out. Lots of fish will bite a bucktail with a trailer!
How were you fishing the buck tail? Jigging or steady retrieve ?
Both!
First !! Love you guys keep up the good work

Where can I get the bucktail featured in this video? 👍🏼
It looks cold in Massachusetts. That's what I love about MD: June is nice and warm.
Knots are key!!! You don't want to lose a fish because of a lazy knot ;)

It was in the 50s, grey skies wind 10-20 mph and intermittent rain our whole trip! It’s not too bad to get some cool air every once in a while ☃️
