Hello, thanks a lot Italian friends for your video, I bought my first lion steel last year following your video (B40 in Micarta and just love it). I saw you have nice seize of hands , and I was interesting to know if compare the B40 to the lionsteel M4 , you didn't be missing some centimeters on the M4. I bought it last december and feel less confortable than my B40 personally and sent it back... but with all the goods reviews on the M4, i maybe think it was a too fast jugement. Really interesting to know your feeling on it. And by the way , between your S1 and your B40, how you feel the handle compare this two?

hello my friend, thank you for your interest in my videos .. to answer your first question immediately I can say that my M4 is a knife that I love because of its compactness ... which makes it a discreet but reliable companion excursions.Obviously you have to give up a few centimeters of space for your hand, but I have never had major problems to use it also because due to its compact size, it is not used in heavy contexts ... as regards the S1 vs the B40 I must say that they both have their own because ... the S1 is a knife that I love ... it is balanced, light, comfortable enough and with its plastic sheath it is also very discreet ... the B40 offers a better grip and firmer but in my opinion it is slightly less agile ... but we are talking about very small differences between two super reliable knives that will never betray you.
I hope I gave you all the information you needed .. thanks again and see you soon ... bye

    Merci!
What knives did you compare it to? I think I recognized the Fällkniven S1 and F1? The other knives are from lionsteel, I realize now, but what model?

Which one do you prefer? I'm looking at Fällkniven S1 Pro and this b40. Think I might get both:) Going to be used for bushcraft so want your opinion. Thanks!

Hi Martin, first of all thanks for your visit...
I think they are both valid outdoor tools but with some small criticisms to say...
the S1 Pro is too much expensive for my opinion
the B40 has an unconfortable sheat
otherwise they are two excellent tools, both of which I think will give you a lot of satisfaction in the outdoor world.
I can't say I have a favorite, I'd say B40 just because it's an Italian product like me...:)
      thanks and see you soon.

@@simoneburigotto Thanks for your reply. I agree about Fällkniven price. Since I'm Swedish I guess the S1 Pro is my favorite;). The B40 handle looks more substantial and comfortable to me, but I don't like the rounded back of the blade. Ok for thumb but not all the way. Want to use back for scraping etc. Again thanks! Graci.

@@martinstengard2267 i agree for the back of the B40...I usually use the back of my Victorinox saw..;)

@@martinstengard2267 believe it or not but it still strikes a ferro rod pretty good, even with the rounded spine. i've always managed to make decent sparks at any rate. that said i wouldn't recommend the sharper bit near the lanyard hole, which is supposed to be for that purpose, as it is far too awkward IMO. the back of the spine works perfectly well enough anyway.

@@mrdarren1045 Thanks yes though it seems to vary. Some reviewers can't strike sparks while others can. Eg. DBK boys strike sparks on another Lionsteel with rounded back.
