I was searching these UA-cam videos searching for someone to display the boxes. Congratulations sir. You did it. You showed the boxes. Thank you. Liked and subscribed.
I used the rocker prior to baby delivery when I was up in the middle of the night due to heartburn and loved it! Little one is now 6 days old and loves the rocker ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXH3jIpsn6vpr3D26KWAriUejh7CSxVp7 , she gets great sleep when used. I had a 1st degree tear repair so sitting can be very uncomfortable and down right painful when the rx mortin wears off, however even then the rocker is firm enough for support but soft enough to feel comfortable. I'm 4'9" so I fit in the chair easily and my 6"3' friend also can sit comfortably in it with a little one. 💖 I would definitely recommend this rocker as a must have for any parent to be👍
wow, great deal. It held up very well. I had this one in the video for ~3 years. No problems. I actually bought a second one when I relocated to a new country (video pending....) we liked it that much. Now that my kids are bigger they're jumping on it daily and climbing over the arm and back and so far no problems.
Great video, informative and clear. A few questions, how do you feel about the lack of armrest and how thin the other one is? Aesthetically I feel like there's something missing, but maybe it'll make it feel more open. And I imagine sitting on that end, you'd feel like something was missing as well. And the chaise armrest, is it even a armrest? I like broad ones that I can put things on. Really like this couch, not sure if it'd be an issue. And the velcro fabric? How has it been holding up? And Finally, after 2 Years, going strong? Been used alot?
I've moved twice since this video was filmed, the sofa held up fine after disassembling and moving to a new place. After 2 years I sold it but bought ANOTHER one after relocating to Japan. We got used to the arm rest, its easier for kids to climb in and out of (depending on how you arrange it in your room). The armrest and back are plenty sturdy, my kids climb up on it regularly, but its not really wide enough to put much on, not more than a phone or remote control. I have to do a new video for the second one...
I saw this sofa at the store in the grey hyllie fabric and really like it, I was actually thinking of getting this beige version but the only thing holding me back is that you can't take off the seat cushion fabric to wash it. I have some dust allergies and not being able to wash in case of spills is a bit of a deal-breaker for me. I guess I could have a blanket on there at all times but not sure.
yeah its definitely a shortcoming. I'm not sure if vacuuming is enough to deal w/ the dust. We keep ours covered at all times and so far haven't gotten any stains...
hi, your video is very detailed and informative. what do think on the difference between L shape and straight 3 seater? which one is better for sleep and sit ?
Thanks. I haven't tried to sleep on the straight one, since we use it in our office, I would say the main difference is the storage space. the straight one has some space under the seats to store pillows or sheets, but its not as easily accessible as the lift up "chaise lounge" part on the L-shape. For "sitting" - the L-shape one is definitely better for lounging and/or taking a nap on (e.g. nodding off while watching TV), since you can stretch your legs out without having to lie down sideways and block off the entire couch. For sleeping like a guest bed - I'm wondering how comfortable the l-shape's fold out part will be when sleeping on it like a bed.... if the two parts aren't the same height and same stiffness, will it be hard to sleep on? or hurt your back? (edit - that's why they tell you to put that part at your legs I think...) the straight one is better in that respect, since its all one piece the length of your body (assuming you stay on one side...)
Was looking to buy this for a new house my family move into and this was one of the vids that popped up. I thought the person looked familiar! Hey nice to see you! Wushu friend from a former life, from the East Coast collegiate crew. Good to see you friend.

sure you can, here are some bemz.com/ikea-series/friheten/sofa-covers here some more www.etsy.com/market/ikea_friheten_cover dont know the quality of eny of these,, just found them looking for reviews on the sofa. hope it helps.
I bought the Ikea Friheten couch about six months ago. I am actually satisfied with the quality of the sofa bed. But for about three weeks now, the spring core has been creaking and squeaking when you sit down on the sofa. Is there a way how to fix this?
actually I bought a second one (for a video i haven't released yet), and I have noticed the spring makes a sound if you sit in the exact wrong place. I haven't figured out what's causing it, (this was never a problem on the one in the video...))
i'd say its pretty comfortable. the seat is fine, the back cushions could be more stiff.... they kind of get squished and slide down... so ergonomics could be better.
It’s ok, for a sofa. I’ve slept on it a few times. The trick is you have to sleep with your head at the low end so the joint between the long part and the other part isn’t in your back.
If you sleep with your head towards the 'long part' the joint between the two sections is right in your back, and not comfortable, which is why they suggest you sleep w/ your head the other way (the joint is on your legs in that case). That said, if you do sleep the correct way, its pretty comfortable (I slept on it the other night).
I used a 3M scotchgard fabric protector for my sofa, same kind but blue one. The colour faded so bad 👎 😩 😫. Looks like I should have done the patch test and waited for a month or two before I sprayed the entire sofa. Anyway, the build is good but the fabric has faded so much that it looks like an antique of over 100 years old 😞😓
I sold this particular one last year but it was holding up well. I ended up buying a new one in my new apartment (in Japan), and although my kids are bigger, and its not against a wall so it gets jumped on and climbed over even more, its holding up reasonably well.
We purchased it recently. When using as bed thr wheel part is coming out, meaning when we lean on after making bed, the wheel part detach and coming out. Is this happened to u as well? If yes then what will be solution
oh, you mean it disconnects? it's supposed to be stopped by hooks on the bottom. check the instructions again, maybe you didn't line it up properly when setting up.
Hi, I bought a second hand sofa. I can not able to assemble the other side where thread bolt connect with one piece. The problem is the whole is big where I was not able to screw it. Is there any solution?
you mean it doesn't raise up after you roll it out from underneath? you could try pulling the whole rolling part out (lift up the entire sofa from the long piece to unhook the rolling part) and then maybe try tipping that thing up on its side and push and pull to see if it 'extends' or not.... (it might just be stuck or something).
Weird question: do you think it would be "usable" and solid enough if i wouldn't connect the corner part to the main part? So that, when i need space in my room, i could move away the corner part and its back
The problem is the back piece ( @3:09 ) goes all the way across the back, so if you separated the long part in the corner out, you'd still have the long back piece. Better to get a smaller couch / love seat and an ottoman or chaise lounge or something.
@@CluelessDad Yes the back all the way long would be ugly to see, but i could stand that. After watching and watching the video, my main concern is that probably the couch "cutted in half" wouldn't be fixed on the ground. The main part seems to rely on the other part to stand up :D For sure an ottoman would be a better choice, but it's so hard to find one with the back... And all modular systems have depths of 90cm or superior.

yes, pretty easy, other than the main pieces being pretty large.

Can you use it without the side head board. My space is abit all.
I suppose its possible, you'd have to relocate at least one of the feet that are on the bottom of that side board though.
In terms of comfort, how do you rate ? The cushions/foaming seems thin. Its soft comfortable or just light cushioning or hard ? Thanks
i'd say its pretty comfortable. the seat is fine, the back cushions could be more stiff.... they kind of get squished and slide down... so ergonomics could be better.
