you know these are just cheap generic camera they are so many of these sold under different brand names or no brand name i got mine off ebay 27nzd free shipping took around 2weeks to arrive and its the same camera compared it too one my mate owns
Press the power button to turn it on, them keep pressing the power button to cycle through the modes: Video, Photo, Setup, Playback. Cycle to Video, then press the Shutter button. It is now recording. To stop recording press the Shutter button again.
To: StaceyChanMusic Chinese manufacturers often get there products made in several factories, each with their own view on Quality Control. Maybe yours was built in a factory with lower QC. Take it back and let the shop know it has poor quality playback, get a replacement and see if the next one is better.
To Philip Newman: Yes Philip, there is sound but it is very faint because the camera was inside the waterproof case. You can just hear my bike start up at about 1:15 and then starts getting slightly louder at 1:29, then you can hear the horrible wind noise starting at about 2:40. The Waterproof case is almost totally soundproof. I didn't add any music as this was only meant to be a test of the quality of the camera and I couldn't be bothered turning it into a mini movie LOL!

Karin, the 3SIXT is a 5 year old camera and I haven't seen one in the shops for about 3 years. There are better cameras available now, and at around the same price. But if you find a second hand one really cheap it would be worth using. But the newer better cameras are worth buying for You Tubing. Even Mobile Phones (Cell Phones) have better camera in them now.
If it is REALLY cheap, give it a go. They are still good cameras, just that there are better ones now, but they probably won't be 50% off the price LOL.
+Hamrogers1 - It seems like you have a dud unit. It should record sound automatically. I don't think it can be turned off. Take it back and get a replacement.
I dunno how much it cost in Australia but for the price of $55 NZD, it's totally worth it!! Awesome video!! ;-)

LOL!!!! Mohammed, it is because the camera is inside a waterproof case and the sound can't get in to the microphone 😄
