Since you have masking tape over the entire work area I would take a pencil or chalk line and draw a centered rectangle where my frame out should be. Then it's an easy matter to adjust the X or Y as needed to end up exactly where you expect the design to be. Also, couldn't you run the engrave the long way and break the image into several parts? There would be less of the image out of focus.

I have a question that isn't related to the video. I have lost the focal gauge (thing used for leveling). Do I have to buy another one?
You should be able to cut one with your laser. Look in the Laser University.
I waited all that time and never got to see the final result. Very disappointing.
