The kiln video here is helpful. Pretty stuff! The clinks from each as you placed them down on the concrete sounds great. I do like the sound of well developed stone. I also like the kiln setup. With your kiln, is it an Evenheat brand, or an Olympic maybe? What temp do you like to use generally with your kiln? I read about using a kiln for heat treating stone, but you have to bring it up slowly and then bring it down slowly in temp- according to what I read online. A lot of people will just use a turkey roaster, or something similar.
It’s an Olympic! I use a turkey roaster if I only need up to 450. But a kiln is much easier to manage, and can go up much higher. I took this to 550 and held it there for 6 hours. Slow up and slow down
I really enjoy the unloading of the heat treat videos the before and after heat treating. It's amazing how much change that can happen with heat.
I love seeing it too, glad you do!
Very nice.
Thanks for the video.
Absolutely!

Cool. Thanks for answering these questions here Jake!
Nice color in there
Only took this to 550. Most medium to semi-high grade I take to 625
Absolutely gorgeous stuff.
Thank you!

If I do I’ll definitely make a video
