Some of the best line construction and trumpet facility I've ever heard. Insane all 3 of these monsters are in ATL together. Add Joe Gransden & Gordon Vernick to this line up and you've got not just some of the best in ATL, but the world. Da hell's in the water in ATL?
Amazingggg!!!! im a trumpet player and this was awesome and big insperation!! what is the thing is very bothering me is that why its only 6k views???? why??
The internet seems to breed many of the foremost, unsung experts on every single topic. (smh) Cheers to those that actually get it though! Candid jam session moments between working professionals in the industry caught on video are always a treat!
The form is confusing for YOU. Every one of the soloists and the rhythm section are crystal clear with the 20 bar form of the jazz standard One Finger Snap. I don’t see what’s so hard to hear about a form built with five 4 bar phrases and a super clear iii - VI7 - ii - V7 - I at the end of the progression. Also, this is a VERY common tempo for this tune, look up Kenny Garrett or any of the live versions Herbie himself did at this speed.

Brownman Ali,I whole heartedly agree!
Which one is the pianist?
If this drummer does that half-open hi-hat to rim shot one more time!!! lol
J-Mo Lmao he’s Killin but yea a bit much on that lick
It was good the first few times but he's gotta chill on that and improvise.
I didn't notice until you pointed it out, and now it's *all I can hear*
Yeah man
I have to checkout Atlanta.
Jesus...
this was 🔥🔥
Everyone is killin'!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽Thanks for sharing this.
Darron English is definitely a huge Terence Blanchard fan, and so is the pianist, the pianist even quotes a lick from one of Terence’s albums at 8:41.

Yaw'll Better Blow!
1. Tempo too fast. 2. Form is confusing. 3. Phrases need to extend more. (on solos)
Nice comment? Do u play? Working on my playing sort of traditional w a fresh, abstract approach. Louis meets Basquiat??
