Heard Russell a little over a week ago in Chicago. He was working with music students at Columbia College. Russell played some beautiful licks with the colleges Latin ensemble. Then he conducted the Jazz Orchestra. He’s an amazing young musician. He said he’s not an educator, but he surely brought the best out of those young students.
