Great video Justin! Too many new and younger lifters don’t know that the workout sends signals to the body to grow/get stronger and the adaptation takes place during rest.
I love the gym but even I know that rest is a must and i even call them "growth days" now as a result. As much as i love lifting and believe me, my entire day is centred around it and it's all i think about, it's nice to not only rest but do other things. Best of all by resting i'm stronger and better in the gym next time as i've rested and because I haven't been i REALLY want to go and absolutely kill it next time
This is a poor experiment as you would have to do it for multiple rest day when you go in and train arms. There’s too many other factors that also could have affect your squat in the following session.
It's not really an experiment. But I agree, a lot of moving variables. The squat could of been off entirely unrelated to the arm day. The video wasn't really about having a bad squat session (everything would of been the same contentwise if it was an amazing squat session).
I do Upper-Lower-Arms-rest-Upper-Lower-Rest. It's been pretty great mostly because I've focused on big compounds for years, now and I have a big ass and titties but noodle arms.
Nice video Justin. Some trainers talk about having a pump session and not a hard training session on your rest day, blood flow to help heal and trigger more MPS. But I agree overall, going hard on a rest day after you get decetly strong is stepping over a dollar to pick up a quarter.
@@JustLeein Cheers homie I have tennis and golfers elbow both sides, and i hope to ease back into it in a couple months, depending on if its healed or not
Commenting for the algorithm. xD Jokes aside, when bulking I take 3 rest days 4 training days, Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday, thinking about changing it to 2 rest days instead, on Wednesday i will train the "neglected ones" calves abs and forearms.
I have an entire day for biceps and triceps only Barbell curls very heavy, skullcrushers the same, weighted dips... If you hit them hard, you'll be beat up
@@JustLeein JUSTIN❤ because of you, I learned how to increase my squat, add 20lbs to my bench in 3 weeks, deadlift 425 after plateauing for a month and feel confident about myself

Getting the blood flowing without creating a deficit to recover from.
You're basically transporting nutrients and androgens to the muscle
Commenting for algorithm!
I do biceps on some of my rest days and it has worked great
Man i really like ur shorts content
thank you bro :)
Great video man! Recovery is key..
I just go for a long walk on rest days maybe some intense stretching, half assing a workout just feels pointless
I do same compounds 6 days a week using rpe. Dont really need armwork yet
In my experience, doing an arm day but with BFR bands solves the fatigue issue.
Hey! Any chance you could link the black T-shirt you have on in the intro!! I really like it, thank you !!
Justin do you have an arm day video?
Can you put those supplement ads in either beginning or end of the video
Please make a video on full fitness program PPL or LPP
Rest day? No no no Grow Day 💪
How to ease back into training after an injury?
thanks for comment, short incoming!

If you think arm day on rest day is fine because training arms is easy, then you're not training arms hard enough
do you increase sets throughout the mesocycle? (mev to mrv)
I just do arms on lowerbody day
same :)
80% of leg day skippings are due to a lack of arm pump
What are your arm measurements?
Is there going to be days I am weaker and stronger at gym
whats with your triceps 2:39
They're contracting because the weight is pulling his arm down, into elbow extension.
I do shoulders on "rest" day
Clicked the video just to see justin arms 🥵
You got crazy big arms, but they are even stronger than they look like.
they would look even bigger in person cos this dude is tall asf

MartinriosPT is calling out your deadlift form. Please set him straight.
Defended you in chat and so have others. Sad to see so much ignorance out there based on his video and other chat messages within it.
