I often find myself feeling disappointed with what UA-cam has become. Like you said, why aren't, you know, NORMAL videos popular anymore, these days, the popular stuff is crap like this.
Because small kids watch youtube and tiktok 24/7 instead of getting raised by their parents...10 years ago...it was rare for small kids to own a phone and not wanna play instead...nowadays..have small kids the fanciest iphones...iphone is still shit though "team" samsung XD
Also, the thumbnails these days are a whole new level. Take Dhar Mann for example. Sometimes he puts a woman holding a knife in the thumbnail, or they use fake tears, & they even draw on the eyes, just to make it even more photoshopped. Also, the titles can be clickbait too. My favourite UA-camr Lauren Burch used to have titles saying "HUGE 2022 HAUL! | (company name)" to "Extremely Tight Try On Haul". I can't help but feel like 2021 UA-cam was way better than 2022.
I'm upset that UA-cam is now turning into something that only "Daddy's money" kids can really get success from.
Or intentionally bad and deliberately manipulate using bots like a certain serious of YT comment reply guys like to do.
@@Eibarwoman That's the thing. Content doesn't have to resemble ANYTHING deserving of the word "quality", it just needs to be engaging. Like August has said in a couple of his previous videos, negative engagement is still engagement. If you comment something threatening to kill someone's family or something, you are still putting money in their pockets.
Problem is most of these kids get their money from social media, it’s not daddy‘s money. Like Jack Dougherty, his arenas let him get away with shit cause he’s paying their bills

The Titanic Door one was busted by Mythbusters with an appropriately crafted door to the likes of that on the Titanic. It was determined that both people could have floated atop it without issue. Also the water can't be too far below freezing or it would be frozen. The real killer in cold water is the fact that it will sap your body heat orders of magnitude faster than air will. The air is actually much colder than the water, but circulating water will bring you core down to below survivable way faster because water is much more thermally conductive.
Also, what actually killed most of the people was shock, not true hypothermia itself. That's why some people who got pretty dang wet still managed to survive, while other people who managed to stay warmer still managed to die. Your odds of survival varied greatly depending on how well your brain dealt with the situation, and whether you got gradually colder over time, or suddenly fell in freezing water after having been comfortably warm. Also why that one slightly intoxicated baker guy lived - the alcohol in his system kept him from going into shock as easily
Incidentally, I would have died very easily, as I get hives from exposure to cold air, which apparently makes you way more susceptible to shock from sudden cold, to the point where my allergist felt the need to specifically tell me not to jump in cold water on a dare because it could potentially land me in the hospital...

By quickly dropping a large metal bell into the water it traps a bubble of air. When I was in the navy a guy at North Island San Diego supposedly died from using the bucket underwater to breath trick and it was deemed a training accident with a lot of suspicion surrounding it. The guys there were all a bit intense
You are completely right when talking about the new way UA-cam is heading. I feel like it was fine when Mr.Beast was the main person doing really over the top things but now so many are trying to which isn’t inherently bad and honestly if these channels had the quality of Mr. Beast UA-cam would be really crazy but they aren’t.
Something about Topper Guild makes me irrationally violent. He seems like that kid who always has to try too hard to get laughs and fails without any sort of self-awareness whatsoever.

Topper Guild is basically the new Morgz now on how familiar some of the titles.
What I like about YT is that there’s a community and channels to watch for whatever you’re into. This kind of content where it’s just stupid stunts, clickbait, and over the top productions doesn’t interest me though. I really hope that kind of content doesn’t take over the platform.

What I found funny in Jurassic park was the C208 firing up its recip engine! They have a turboprop engine in them
Mythbusters already did the Titanic Door thing... It was busted there too because they found that the actually accurate door, with Rose's life jacket tied underneath, was not only stable enough, but also buoyant enough to keep 80%+ of both Jack and Rose's bodies out of the water, saving both of them. Without the lifejacket under the door it was still buoyant enough, but a bit less stable so getting up was a bit more challenging, but still possible.
All that is to say, go watch Mythbusters, not the copycat who doesn't even try that this video is about.
