awe dang! Well still, why would they have a detail like that on the magazine if it wasn't somehow planned to be one day implemented. Yah when you get a 'short action' gun (for example) the mags will indeed often stamp other short action cartridges the magazine is compatible with.. but that's a strangely specific detail to include in modeling no?
@@bumblewoot I've seen IRL scans being done and converted into digital 3D renders. Seems safe to say this must be what they did to get such accurate high detail renders. With exact labels on the new vehicles were they somehow scanning those in too? :p
It points to just another reason that I like WoH better than CotW. The WoH devs increase player choice instead of constantly trying to corral players into playing "the correct way." The day they added different difficulty levels was when I knew that this game was heading a better direction. It is my toy, just let me play with it how I want to. CotW has become the substitute teacher who imposes structured play on the day and turns something that could be refreshing into something you just wish would end.
Cotw has more useful stuff though. Granted it's older but still. WOTH still lacks electronic callers, ability to choose our own ammo types, and the fact that we can't see if we are visible to animals and if we are being too loud or not.
hi bumblewoot. i grew up deer hunting with a remington 7600. its a game glitch that writing is on the magazine on the real 7600s signifying the magazine can work for the following calibers. so for example i have 7600 in 270 win and i have a 7600 in 30-06 so the mags are marked which calibers the magazine is compatible with. i can use my 30-06 7600 mags in my 270 win 7600
You made a lot of great points! many of which I was just about to type into the comments and then you mention it haha I'm kinda split on what could happen. Hopefu,l but getting used to disappointment these days.. my defense mechanism is deferring to 'expecting the worst case scenario' so that whatever happens will be good. Sooo upon release the update regresses everything to 2D graphics and we are resorting to shooting deer with rubber band guns. Ok expectation set.. waiting to hopefully now be impressed with what releases :)
Caliber changing could be great, but I really hope it doesn’t mess things up. With how big the update could be it might over complicate things and mess up the balance of the game, we also wouldn’t be referring to things like the carbon cl2 as the “338” for example so it’ll be harder to tell what rifle you’re talking about. Plus Some rifles with only a few calibers might become useless if more accurate rifles have the same caliber plus an even larger selection. On the other hand it could be amazing to get all the new calibers, those ones on the 7600 look cool but not sure they did that much work. Either way new calibers or new bullet tip types would be nice. I just hope they didn’t add caliber changing but limited it to existing calibers, so no new actual bullets are added. Guess we’ll see soon
I think this is just their extreme attention to detail and a little glitch, allowing you to see what's on the side of the magazine. I own a 7600, and that is what is stamped on the side of the mag. The same magazine was used for all the long action cartridges, and you are seeing what is on the side of every 7600 mag.
I was just thinking of and mentioning that in a response comment about short action/ long action magazine compatibility. Glad to see someone with that exact model point out that detail. Dang now im gonna have to go through all of my various IRL guns and their associated magazines to see if other makes list them like that.. just "long action", "short action", "long action magnum" on the ones I could dig up :p
The 25-06, .280 and .270 are based off the 30-06 so exact same with a few small differences. You don't want to shoot a .280 in a .270. Also it not only saves money in manufacturing but allows hunters to use the sam e mag in a different caliber. All I f those calibers were also sold in thr 7600 back in the day.
Also look at the blaser r8,it can handle a .204 Ruger up to a .500 Jeffery. Change the bolt and barrel and your good to go. I'm sure the msg1 would change the upper receiver as well.
Need to fix darn 5 star golden jackal mission on transylvania been stuck on it 5 months, playing whole in game days before sleeping 3 days to pass for 1 year nothing changes
too busy for hope,gesh, really just looking forward to some new and advancement of the game, as every big update brings, and the to dig in and see what all is there besides what is in the notes
***UPDATE*** I'm getting ready for heartbreak 😂 The different caliber stamp is just on the magazine inside the rifle and is showing through. Darn!

My initial thought is it just a brand/licensing thing and not any sort of leak; but here's to hoping.
