I miscounted...I have 6 brackish tanks. 😅 Have you tried brackish tanks? Here is more about keeping brackish tanks if you are interested in learning more: ua-cam.com/play/PLQfZ4SsSis1MCAJdvLK1oVuD0nNM-GB2v.html
first time in years I am motivated to add a tank. I love the African Mudskippers (MS), and have some questions? What size is the aquarium with the African MS, gallonage and dimensions? How much salt do you add per gallon? I would like to duplicate what you have set-up. A lot of the googled articles recommend only one per aquarium, but you have apparently resoved this aggression issue with a lot of them. Did I see a sponge filter buried in there? Thanks for the great video and inspiration
I had a mudskipper when I was younger and he was quite the character, I feel like mudskippers are something that used to be really common but are now hard to find
Mudskippers are so cool. I could watch them for hours. Hey do you have a video that shows how to make and maintain brackish water? It would be awesome to have someone demonstrate how to make it and set it up. I do so much better with a visual showing than just trying to follow directions that I don't understand. Please and thank you.
Very cool creatures! Are they sensitive with the salinity? After seeing you old videos I always want to have mudskippers but I’m not ready to have a brackish tank 😅 Are they high maintenance fish?
Starting a brackish tank for the first time. Currently I have a 90 gal mbuna that is doing well. Any suggestions or tips on getting this going would be welcomed. So it a 40 bow front and I've mixed cichlid substrate with some playsand, tidal 55 hob filter, small wavemaker, salinity 1.010. About 2 weeks into cycling, so no fish yet. And still cloudy. Wife wants a puffer. What are good tank mates? Thank you. Your videos have helped me in my hobby and are entertaining.
I plan to have a setup soon with Indian mudskippers, in either a 29g or a 40g breeder. I was wondering if there was any chance they would get along with a figure 8 puffer? I plan on only having 1 brackish tank so I would love to be able to keep a puffer but if not I may have to stick to a goby tank thanks!
Possibly. If you get the figure 8 when it is a little smaller/younger and make sure that it has plenty of swimming area, it may work. I kept a figure 8 with my African mudskippers for awhile. My only concern would be the figure 8 getting nippy with the Indian mudskippers, so keep an eye out for that.
@ thanks so much for the reply, I’ll see what I decide to do. I was thinking mollies or guppies would be cool with the Indian mudskippers too, do you think the Indian mudskipper would try to eat those?
I put my spotted greens right into full salt water and have never lost one and they seem way healthier in full saltwater and there 4 years old now and almost full grown

I was lucky enough to photograph mudskippers in a mangrove swamp in Mozambique. Incredible and comical creatures.
Love the skippers!! And of course Captain, who could resist Cap?!!
So many neat things to try; so little time and space. Love your vids!❤️

Yep. In the playlist that I pinned in the top comment, you’ll find a few videos there.
@@TazawaTanks 👍 Thanks.
❤ your tank set ups with the mud skippers are awsome! What a neat video.

Not really high maintenance. I’d put them in the medium category. Not sensitive to different salinity levels.
I love the mudskippers Aquarium
I get them here at my local bait and tackle we use them for fishing to catch Bass. We usually buy a dozen I might do a vid next time we go lol
Good environment to grow emmersed anubias. Grow fast and you can rotate them to immersed in other tanks
I can't decide which is more adorable, Captain or your Mudskippers!!😅❤
Hi, what is the best way to transition your fish to brackish water? Do you slowly add marine salt? Or all of a sudden?
Mudskippers are my favourite animal.
They are such funny looking fish 😂 my lfs has Indian mudskippers every once in a while so maybe I could try them some day.
Could Florida Fiddler Crabs and Indian Mud Skippers make compatible tank mates ?
Thanks for the update! I really liked the intro too.
Is there an update on the figure 8 puffer?

love the 1980s vibe intro. 🤣

can you mix mudskippers and puffers?
I have before (Africans with a figure 8 puffer).
Since it’s not full of water what do you use to filter the water ?
Sponge filters 😁
Adorable ☺️
I didn't know they can go in that small of a tank! Might need to invest in a 20 long now...
I totally stopped my tracks when he said that too! That would be so fun!
Interesting! What attracted you to brackish tanks in the beginning?
I would honestly just watch videos of the mudskippers doing there thing.
What would you say about putting Indian mudskippers in a 15 cube?🐠🦯
Hmm…maybe only 1 or 2.
Dogs LOVE fish food!
You killing me socks with saddles
That’s my indoor fit. 🧦😂
Lol all good just joking around
LOL..my dog likes fish food too
