That's one of the things that's so special about John. He always took the time to acknowledge the members of his band and then stepped back to give them their moment to shine. A quality singer (and person) with a quality band.

Thanks for your reaction. If you watch enough of John's live performances, you will get to know the names of all of his band members and get to see their incredible talent, as John always highlights each individual member. This was fun. Thankyou.😄

Fun fact: Brett Garsed is a self-taught guitarist. He is amazing 🥰
Edit: the camera on his guitar was new technology invented for the show.

They make magic because the whole band is like a great big family. They have all worked together on and off for so many years. They give their all for Joh because he gives it all for them. He always made sure we knew everyone in his band by introducing them and giving them all solo performances. Being a member of the Farnham band was often the gateway to bigger and better things. Brett Garsed ended up touring the US with TJ Helmerich and then with American band Nelson. But would still come back k to Australia to tour with John Farnham for many of his concerts. Tommy Emanuel was also an early member of the Farnham band and even after he became hugely famous across the world as the best classical guitarist in the world...he even found time to do a few more tours with John. Jack Jones and Phil Buckle also toured with John and they went in to become huge in Aus as the Southerns sons. John has also sung back up vocals on his backing singers records. ❤❤❤

Great reaction. Thank you 😊 This is one of my favourite performances by John and his amazing band - how is that Brett Garsed on guitar? He is phenomenal!! Those high belts by Farnsey are epic in this song, and they amaze me every time.
I'm looking forward to the next one Welder Reactor. There is so much more to listen to, but please do try Who's Lovin You that others have suggested. You will not be disappointed ❤
Love seeing the shock and appreciation on your face when you listen to John. He will never stop surprising you with his abilities. I can guarantee you that 😊❤

John learnt during his time in LRB (incidentally what this song is about) just how green eyed people can be. He IS a frontman, and he knows from experience the importance to make sure absolutely no one is neglected and has their own time to shine in the spotlight.
He also has a cheeky habit of putting the spotlight on them when they do not want it too LOL.
To stop anyone crying foul ever again, he makes sure everyone gets their dues and time and he makes sure that every audience member knows who every band member is by name on that stage.
Including the poor bloke in charge of the Spotlight up in the rafters during one concert. Called him out, and good naturedly embarrased the hell out of him.

@@G.H.O.S.T.254 So true Ghost. He is the best at this. I love watching him do that to Chris the lighting guy. That was at that start to the Chain reaction concert in 1990 when the crowd did the Mexican wave and John sung Sadie for them. Just love our John and also love knowing his band by name and what about Simon who brings him his guitar in that same concert? 😊 Johns respect for his band and his peers and the songwriters is just second to none and the world is seeing now how live performances should be done. 🎉🙂♥️

Only michaelnJackson cover that i can think of is a Jackson 5 song...Who's Loving You. Michael was 12 when they recorded it and John was 50 so a conpletely different dynamic. But with Johns vocal range he slays the high notes.

Did you see Brett's comment to The Charismatic Voice's video of You're The Voice, in response to her wondering whether John was actually singing it live?
You probably did, but it's nice when 'the talent' is watching and lends their voice.

Have you listened to the 'He's the voice' podcasts by Nige L and Adam Stolfo ? @@jayneattherock1083Hi Jayne I have listened to quite a few of them. They are great. Have you seen my History of John Farnham that Teacher Paul and Fellipe have been reacting to. Parts 1 to 5 are out there. They are a mixture of text I've written, music and interviews. I have just loved doing it. Parts 6 to 10 will go live in next couple of weeks. ♥️♥️♥️ Oh Brett is so phenomenal on the guitar in this, besides John and the rest of them. They have to be one of the very top bands in the world with the G.O.A.T. as the lead singer ❤😂🎉

@@xxticxxtocxx7909 I did look it up again and I had already responded to Brett. I knew I had done that once but didn't realize it was that one. I dont think she was saying it wasn't live, but how John performs and is so technical and pitch perfect and versatile is hard to do live. We all know that's why John is the G.O.A.T. ♥️🙂🎉

John always celebrates his musicians; guitarist Brett Garsed was only 25-26 years old here, and he wrote this solo as an audition to get into John’s travelling band. A brilliant musician! Sadly, no MJ covers that I can recall; he has done several Stevie Wonder covers, most notably “Love’s In Need” in 1991. Great reaction! 🇦🇺💚

John, as part of his 50th birthday celebration concert did a version of the song 'Who's Lovin' You', which the Jackson Five did when Michael was 12 years old.
    John kills it!!!
So, have a look for 'John Farnham Who's Lovin' You'
Also, a 'heavier' song, 'All our sons and daughters' live is pretty damned phenominal, with John doing some great vocal gymnastics.

I've been an avid John Farnham fan for most of my life, from way back in the 'Sadie' days, which was the start of his career, to the present day. I've been to literally dozens of his concerts. I went to this concert 3 times. Each time was the same level of excellence. John never gives less than 110% of himself. I love this song. It always gets me going, and even at 71 years old, I still scream out the words. I've lived for a long time, and I've never heard another voice that can match the voice of our John. He is the GOAT!!!!

John wrote the song when he had had enough with all of the BS that was going on in LRB and was ready to leave the band, (silent 'SH' in the 'Pushing 'IT' up hill' line) - John has covered a couple of Stevie Wonder songs, not sure about MJ songs, may have done and early J5 song, - I don't get that 'Thriller' vibe at all, - , and as for the hair - have a look at the band - Angus, Brett, David, the Brassards, - all have great hair, gotta love the 80's! Thankyou for reacting to this great song,
