The smaller the little blue line (or whatever colour) the higher the output of diamonds. The 4 wide lines will give 2-3 max. And the small 1 line will give 5-6 max
I feel FD are destroying their own game making mining the only profitable option. Combat, piracy etc are useless at this point
yeah I agree, it's quite sad :( I wish you could make more by bounty hunting, not in the resource sites, but I mean actually going after a certain AI ship, that is hard to catch and find, but you'd get like 100 mil reward for just one ship. right now it's just not worth it ... you have to destroy like 40-80 pirates for only 10-40 mil, takes you 2+ hours and it's very dangerous.
I also think they should put more to discovering, they need to add unique things on planets to find and discovering them, would give you like 10 mil each, also add some rare items on planet surfaces that you can find, i hope Odyssey will have all that!

The "Gold Rush" is always changing in the game. Passenger missions, Road to riches, mining. Im sure it will change again. Probably Thargoid killing or whatever missions end up happening on foot next. Then we can complain that space legs is too profitable and ruining the game lol.
@@sebalutz Hotspots don't dry out. In addition to this, only LTD mining got nerfed. Painite for instance received zero nerfs. Mining has been the way to make money since January of 2019 when the latest mining changes came into the game with the new hardware. But until the fleet carrier patch. Sub-suface mining was not worth doing because it only sent out a single chunk of rock. So laser mining became king at Borann for over a year. Borann did not 'dry out'. Fleet carriers added tritium ore to the game and it needed to be added into the entire mining system and that forced all of the hotspots to be rerolled. Borann never dried up. Neither will this one.

if you take a fighter bay with you you are able to use that fighter to respawn the surface diamonds.
- take the fighter +/- 25km out of range of your ship. Park it there
- hop back to the mother ship
- drain the asteroid
- hop back to the fighter
- hop back to the mother ship
and voila...
(they are calling it eggs these days ;))
yeah i've heard about it already, haven't tested it myself tho. i didn't think devs are so incompetent that "eggs" spawn in same exact places. ppl also say re-logging works if you go bit out and point your nose towards the egg, then it's easy to find it.

This mining thing needs a real big sort out. You could literally start playing in the morning and have a fleet carrier before you go to bed.
don't be so dramatic lol. i've shown this to couple of friends who are new and they struggle to even get anaconda, it's not as easy if you just starting out .. even with friend's carrier being the taxi, it's still challenging for new players.
@@SethiozProject haha. It took me 3 days to make about 500mil (not playing hard), which for me enough to build out a basic HazRez Anaconda. I was super happy.

So broken I got this game only 4 days ago because a friend was doing this and playing a lot so I wanted to try it. I'm still learning the game but I have made around 3 billion. I have 5 ships kitted out including anoconda and am on my way to getting a fc. I literally only have 41 hours on steam playing this. I'm literally still learning the basics like that I needed a fuel scoop and stuff. (my friend been giving me rides on his fc so didn't learn much about traveling.)
It's not broken .. it's REALISTIC. in real life if you'd have a huge cargo vehicle and mining equipment, you can also mine diamonds or gold and make billions. It's very basic of life, the more you have, the more you can make. .. or you'd rather have it so that you have 5 BILLION worth carrier, need 20 million upkeep, but you can only make like 5 million a day by HARD grinding? is that what you'd prefer?

@@Boemel im at 18 billion at 526 hours...pretty much made it all before the mining nerf though. painite was doing 200-300m an hour with simple laser mining then

I really am not willing to travel to the hot spots which is why my mining is terrible. I do it to help out with BGS only as a way to support my miner faction by selling whatever I mine to stations we own. I'll mine for like four hours and I only make 900k unless I get lucky and find tritium.
yes that's very BAD. LTD is not the hot stuff anymore, but there are others minerals and metals still going for around 700k - 1.1mil a piece.
and as you saw on video, it's not just about mining, you need to sell to stations that offer the highest price.
Does this still work today. Also, how have you got your anaconda set up for mining e.g. parts and fire groups. I'm a fairly new player to elite dangerous ,so I'm not fully sure what the best options are. I'm currently just doing robigo passenger missions.
not really no, it's enough to just look at LTD prices, they're very low, so not worth it. Just couple days ago I made about 300 mil in 3-4 hours by trading agronomic treatment, that seems most profitable atm. You can add me on steam (if you know how to search and find me), I can "borrow" my carrier if you wanna do trading :)
No, its nerfed, LTD price is too low. At the moment im enjoying deep core mining Grandidierite an VO, some 80mil per hour with Python(im beginner btw, playin 2-3 weeks myb) and its fun , not boring like laser mining xD. I just wanna earn some money and ill start something else, probably exploring (still need more credits for equipping Anaconda)

This has been nerfed since this video, low temperature diamonds usually only sell for around 600-700k per ton now. Painite is the way to go since its price can go up to 900k-1 million per ton and you can mine it way faster than diamonds
STOP SAYING NERFED ... this is so annoying how idiots don't understand that ED universe is DYNAMIC. If 10000 players mine, resources are drying up and demand becomes less (COMMON SENSE!).
only "nerf" was that players mined too much, it's like when drinking water from glass, it will get empty, common sense, no? or you think you can keep drinking from same glass without it ever running out?
@@SethiozProject not sure if you keep up on patch notes or dev news but spawn rates of ltd have been purposely decreased as well as effectiveness of overlaps.

@@10siWhiz Correct. This was not a dynamic change as a result of the background simulation, but FDev did change parameters in the game. So it was a nerf.
Ideally the background simulation should balance these out, which would make it very interesting if you find a money printer _not_ to have everyone know about it immediately.
We can see some of this today in the current Community Goal, where the stations involved are run dry, especially Fox Enterprise can hardly keep up production with demand.
Once the CG is over it will recover probably in a day or two, but this kind of effect in a timescale of say updates every ten minutes would make insane moneyprinting impossible.
As with the current Painite, I googled a double hot post and then found a station to sell at just two jumps away (one return jump empty). The same station bought for about 1 million credits per ton a week later, despite being swamped with painite.
So the background simluation does not give reasonably price fluctuations, something is wrong there.
@@57thorns Running a station dry is nothing new. Working with Operation IDA, we would regularly strip various stations of materials to repair bases. Most notorious was the CMM runs. These are only produced on planets and only in small batches.
What is new is ltd / void opal prices tanking when yo spam their markets.
im in a lt diamond overlap of three, every asteroid that is glowing yellow has absolutely 0 low temperature diamonds
yellow glow doesn't mean diamonds, it just means it's mineral rich asteroid, you're far too late to the party. LTD was nerfed ages ago + it sells for only like 400k each, not worth it. trading is more profitable. I recently made 250mil in less than hour by doing some trading with my carrier, without carrier it takes bit longer, but still easy.

since it was nerfed I can't find how to get a lot of credit quickly :( do you have a technique that works pretty well for earning credits at the moment ?
mining still works, you might not get 500 mil in 1h, but you can still get a lot. or just do basic trading, find the commodity with highest profit and haul away. 30-40mil with Type9 per 1 run, if you find 2 stations close enough, you can easily make like 5 runs per hour.

Id love a carrier but tried it in beta and don't like how I cant find anywhere to park it and cant find a free space where engineers are to upgrade it even in my own "private" session no one elses shit should be on my server idk how this is working out for others.
I just bought my carrier about 2 weeks ago. I had no trouble finding somewhere to park the carrier. I believe at this point everyone has spread out and many of the issues of systems being jammed with carriers is not a thing anymore.
Launch fighter, fly fighter 20Km away. Switch to mothership, tell fighter to hold position. Mine sub-surface deposits, switch to fighter, switch back to mothership, hey presto, all the sub-surface deposits reappear. Rinse & repeat. 1 Billion+ per hour.
I'm planning on making a video on it, if they don't nerf it before. but it's 25km and telling your fighter or mothership to stay does not work, you have to disable thrusters for this trick to work.

Yeah it's definetely worth it, at least in that zone. in borann 2 nobody said anything about sub surface, but in that system every now and then someone says that sub surface is INSANE, some even say it's broken or a glitch.
@@SethiozProject Double, triple or even quad hotspots don't mean shit if your core/surface mining. You get the same yield from a standard single hotspot. That's why there were no mention of core mining in Borann, coz there was no point.

Any reason why you would not use the Abrasion blaster instead of the missile's ? do they not do the same thing but just easier ?
abrasion blaster is only for surface deposits and it gives you just ONE fragment, it's pointless + you can use sub-surface charges to also blast the surface deposit if you release the trigger at right moment.
Which HCS voice pack is that in the video? Many of them don't have previews so I can't find it on their website.

I can’t wait to get on and start... btw ... yt channel “hawkes gaming “ put out a similar video but says you can do this subsurface mining in any ltd hotspot ... doesn’t need to be overlapping for the “mother load rocks to spawn ... in other words cuts down on jump times ... don’t know if you can conform or deny but I will be testing both methods
yes you can, but you'll never get THAT much. there's a reason why all grind-hards are in those spots, if you could get same amount of LTD in single or double spots, then people wouldn't bother going so far. In a single spot it takes you a lot longer to find one and you get less. I've done that trip 4-5 times and it's always that fast give or take 30 mins.

I did further testing in singles. It's not great. Doubles or triples is the way to go.

I got to the LTD hotspot .. then they nerfed it..... quess I wont be getting a fleet carrier anytime soon lol
you make it sound like they removed it, it still works. it was quite broken in the first place, you're not suppose to get 5 bil in a day! FC is the end-game, so obviously it should take minimum of 1 month, but you can still do it in less than a week.
Got into a python within 7 hours play. On my way to purchase my anaconda 2 hours later. Still ridiculous how much you can get from this.
The Borann hotspots are gone but you can Google kierra's icebox and fly there for the new LTD triple hotspot

no, you shoot it only at the glowing asteroids, normal ones are not worth probing.

I was under the impression the triple hot spot do not effect sub surface roids I mean you are also mining but is it worth it to go that far out just to do some bonus mining ?
well i can't say 100% yes or no, because this is pretty much first time I have been doing serious mining, but according to system chatter, sub-surface IS being effected and a LOT. lot of people said that it's bugged or glitched and that they are trying to milk it as much as possible before devs patch it. rumors are rumors, but I do believe those who say sub gives a lot more in that zone. In fact they said in Borann 2 A (old LTD3 mining) it wasn't worth it, but in this place it's worth doing sub only.
My friend did Borann mining and made only about 150 mil per hour.

HI, im a noob in mining. What about defending the cargo from pirates? i have a t9 with 1 pilot... From the system to the station are a lot of jumps... Bad guys can attack me in every jump... That scaries me :)

you must be in analyze mode, not sure if you can even shoot probes in combat mode, but if you're in combat mode, you won't see them.
you also need to have detailed surface scanner.
How did you get your Anaconda jump range so high???
low weight, engineered FSD (highest possible level) + guardian FSD booster (size 5)

nothing much to it, if you wondering about jump range, it has best possible FSD upgrade at engineers + experimental and class 5 guardian FSD booster. everything else is focused on minimum weight (D class and engineered as light weight where possible). I could probably squeeze few more ly out of it.
which way of mining produces the best results. mining lazers, sub surface drilling , or using the seismic charges. ?
if you're talking about per asteroid, then ofcourse the core, but if you talking about diamonds per hour, then sub-surface + lasering the high content yellow ones. you can easily get 100 - 200 diamonds per hour and they sell for 1.1 - 1.7 mil each.
Is there any way getting to that location without running out of fuel in a anaconda with no enginners?

@@JoseAntonio-pb7nd ah ah lol, yeah fuel scoop is your best friend if you don't have a friend with carrier :-) for anaconda I suggest 5A minimum, i think i have 6A scoop and Corvette has 7A. I scoop some fuel after each jump, it almost insta fills the amount it used for the previous jump. also don't forget to set "star class" filter to KGBFOAM stars only (those are stars that can be scooped for fuel).

mined out? I don't think resources ever run out in ED, at least never seen / heard about it. I've seen same places being active for 5+ years.
@@SethiozProject I thought that the game universe allowed for resource depletion. Certainly you can see where asterids have been core mined - they leave behind clouds. iirc it was noted that resources do regenerate, at a relatively salow pace. I think it;s more likely that the resources are huge: they are, after all, millions of miles across and must contain tens if not hundreds of millions of rocks.

definetely not, but the amount was reduced a bit. It's still fastest way of making credits. even surface ones gives you easy 100-200 mil per hour

7 billion is not enough If you want to have any module's on it. I have almost 7 billion in mine with 1.5 billion in carrier cash. I would wait till you have 9 to 10 billion before buying so you have plenty of spending cash.

What are you talking about 6 billion is not even close to "fully kitt out" a carrier. You do know you have to buy ships and ship modules for the outfitting and if you want to sell ships on your carrier. I placed just some basic ship modules on my carrier and that was easy a billion these are basic items not high grade.

nothing to worry about, you can still pull easy 100-200 mil per hour. in short, you get about 25% less LTD, that's all.

yeah think they broke it, everyone said that this new place was broken, before you was able to make 100 - 200 mil per hour, which is still a LOT.
I am not too sure they did anything. It may very well be because EVERONE and their dog go there to mine.
@@kentchr76 They nerfed the chances to find LTD subsurface in overlaps except in rare triple overlaps. It is still RNG to find subsurface LTD. They don't mention clearly if the new location is or is not what they refer to in the nerf. Personally, I never got 500 mil an hour. Currently, I manage about 100 tons in an hour and a half. But getting the ore, isn't the same as going to sell it. I'm a long long ways from being able to afford a carrier of my own.

@@Zoretsu btw you don't need abrasion blaster to get the surface ones, you can use the sub-surface charge to break them too. just release the trigger on right moment and it works. tested it myself.

It still works but the prices on diamonds are lower now, if you fly to kierra's icebox and mine in the triple hotspot you can make the diamonds just as fast but you won't find 1.7 million sell locations anymore, diamonds usually go for about half that nowdays.
Honestly painite is better at the moment since you can fill up your ship faster and you can reliably find sell locations for 900k per ton all over the bubble

ED universe is dynamic, the more ppl mine, the less you find. there's like 1000 carriers around that place, imagine how many players have been mining for MONTHS. things dry up. It can still get you a good 100-200 mil per hour by laser mining.

it's getting dry, but obviously it's still "working" yes. I don't know why people keep asking this ... ED universe is dynamic. the more people mine, the less effective it becomes. The more people sell diamonds, the more demand decreases, which leads to lower sell prices.
It works exactly like any market in real life, so please stop asking "DOES THIS STILL WORK?? ooOOO DOES IT WORK??????"
Everything since the start of ED has always been working and always will (apart from the skimmer kill missions, as devs removed them on some reason).

There was never in this game a way to earn 0.5bln an hour. On average ppl will get there about 100mln and only in big ships. Stop spreading misinformation
I most definitely have made 500 mill an hour now that I'm getting better at it. 400 million is much more achievable in an hour.
@@HawkesGaming whole my wing is mining here and not a single person got much over 200 mln an hour. All of us do it in cutters therefore as I said an average person in smaller ship could get 100mln including restocking. Additionally it was nefred in yesterday patch by 25%. Just stop bullshiting.
