The idea that kanye slanders this guys image somehow seems a stretch to me. Kanye got me to this video, I realize this guy wrote it and it might actually be the best thing ever composed, but kanye still helped to spread the true message behind this guys voice

the thought is romantic when paired with the idea that kanye is in league with the cabal. dangling yet another fish hook over our heads, he knows that a thought-seed planted in long dead minds will not germinate.

This is the Gil Scott-Heron I remember. He would have been 75 years old yesterday April 1st had he not entered the world of drugs and drink. I still wonder how someone so smart could end that way. Anyway, this is the Gil Scott-Heron I remember and will never forget.

@@DangleBlampy Well, I don't think Heron was saying that per se. He later describes America as an "unflushable" toilet bowl. The imagery of the toilet bowl calls to mind, well, black and white. I don't think Heron is saying African Americans are shit but rather, are treated like shit. He just wants to flush the toilet to get the hell out of here, but he can't. He is surrounded by whites -- just like the white of the toilet bowl -- who just won't go and find their own damn revolution. Pretty powerful extended metaphor in my opinion.
