As much as I love my 126300, the White Birch overall blows it away.. But keep following the trend, you do you. In a parallel universe, if the GS held value, you'd say it's a good value watch, with zero regard with what the actual watch is like. Go buy stocks instead, and stop pretending like you know anything about watches.
GS is up there in my favorite watches range. Omega and GS really. When I get home, I think I am buying the Spring Drive variant of this piece and I can't wait. I do wish they would upgrade their bracelets, but no watch is perfect. ---- Rocas

Look at a Royal oak that's 3-4 times more expensive (not that you can get one) under a macro lens and the difference is laughable. Grand Seiko take finishing to a level even the trinity brands can't match.
This is a great video with awesome editing and photography but one of the most annoying things about these videos is they completely gloss over the criticism: that bracelet is horrible. So many bad things could be said about that bracelet…
It's hardly horrible. This whole "GS bracelets are horrible" is one of the most overblown echo chambers in the watch community. Is it the best? No. But it's hardly worth mentioning in such severity, when no one talks like this about similar bracelets on watches like the Omega AT, Zenith El Primeros, Cartier Santos, JLC Polaris, and more. Most GS bracelets are of similar quality and have similar fitment options. Comfortable, provides half links, and for some people, doesn't make a perfect fit like sports watches with quick adjustment mechanisms do. I agree it can be better, but singling out GS on their bracelet when nothing is said about other watches is hilarious.

Great video and beautitful watch but Grand Seiko does not hold its value. For example this watch can be purchased for $6300. I own 2 GS watches, you are going to lose about 25% to 30% when you try and sell them.

I just picked up a GS White Birch, and I’ve been watching multiple reviews of the watch. I must say that your review was the best and spot-on. I reckon it helps that you actually own the watch that you reviewed; thus, I sensed a little more passion with your content. Great job 👏🏼
I also have this masterpiece for a month. I think that the bracelet is missing opportunity for this watch. A little bit taper would be great. I have 6.5 inches wrist. I cannot say that the bracelet is pretty comfortable in comparison with some other luxury brands. Anyway at this price point, this watch is spectecular in terms of design and revolutionary movement. GS definitely needs more marketing and better customer targeting to show its unique timepieces

Just got this watch yesterday. Amazing from all aspects, the dial is unbelievable beautiful, comfortable bracelet ( if GS can add micro adjustment function it will be even better, but the bracelet fits me well, so I am happy) decorated movement, for this price point, I don’t think you can find another watchmaker provide another decorated movement to compete with 9SA5. Bonus point: you can get discounts for this loving timepiece 😎 Highly recommended!
grand seiko hibeat dual impulse escapement is the greatest mechanical movement ever made period, it seems similar to george daniels co axial escapement but its completely different and way better and more efficient

I’m a fan of Grand Seiko but when I found out that the birch dial are not custom, I lost interest.
