2024 Firmware update check for Olympus SP 820UZ digital camera

Checking for firmware update on a vintage Olympus SP-820UZ digital camera, using a Windows 10 VM running inside VM Workstation Player.
This doesn't work well under Windows 11 natively, so I am using a Windows 10 Virtual Machine (running under the free VMWARE Workstation Player).
Native OS = Windows 11 pro
VM software = VMWare Workstation Player
VM OS = Windows 10 pro x64
Olympus firmware software = "Olympus Digital Camera Updater", which I believe is part of "Olympus Viewer 3".
Olympus Camera Updater software is used for checking the firmware version (and installing a new version, if applicable). "Olympus Viewer 3" is the download package. You can google it, it is available at Softpedia download site.
If your camera needs an update, the software will download and install the update for you. On my camera, I already had the latest version installed, so no update was needed.
