I think candle making is an ongoing learning process. You answered another question I had about curing before burning. I'm working with tins, straight walled and taper walled jars. I'm still using 464 soy wax and haven't experienced any major issues. I keep records on what I do to make each candle and record the results of each test. Soy wax I found is easy to clean up. It cleans nicely with dish detergent and hot water. I should give this a try. In my recent candles I increased my fragrance load and have both good cold and hot throw results. Still in the hobby stage. Looking to do this as a business.
Nice video. I use this wax and love the finished, but it give sinkholes like crazy. I dont know what to do to avoid sinkholes. I used Lx -20-24 in 3" jars but I having smoke when test burn. I use 8-9 % fragrance oil Lx-20-24 in the jars. I like this wax because of frosting with Soy and cradle tops wow, they Killing me.
We’ll I hope you figure it out and have fun! Check out their new social media on tik tok and Instagram! I wanna see your creations! Tag them if you post!
all candles make soot.....anything that burns can create soot.....Soy being healthier or less soot is a myth....the soy industry really love pushing propaganda...Anything that burns creates carbon......science is cool....
