Excellent reaction once again - thanks for watching the Tokyo Dome performances. That was 55,000 neck braces with LED bulbs all lighting up the dome. When they lit up during the piano bridge the girls were under the stage getting into their golden robes and into position, so they didn't see that scene ... as Taipan said, you can see the moment and the look on Su's face the first time she saw all the neck braces light up for the first time.
⚡ 💀 💕 / 🌟 🌟 🌟 /🔺 That was great. I wish more people would watch those two songs from the Tokyo Dome Red Night back-to back. The Tokyo Dome Red Night concert is the only time that 'Tales of the Destinies' has been performed live. There were 55,000 people in the crowd. As you might have picked up from the lyrics, the "Destinies" are the BABYMETAL members. I love the little ragtime jig that Yui and Moa do in the middle of the song. Along with MIKIKO, their choreographer, they rehearsed a few different versions of the choreography for 'Tales of the Destinies'. In a recent interview, Moa said that she can't even remember which version they ended up performing live.
That scene with the lights in the crowd is so awesome, I wish I had been there. You can feel 55.000 hearts jump as they light up for the first time and everyone goes „oooh“. If you take a look at Su‘s face a few seconds before you stopped to comment on the picture of the crowd (around 16:34 in your video), you can see her gazing in awe at the scene before her. This makes me so happy for her, it must have been a fantastic feeling.
Great reaction, thanks! "TOTD + The ONE" at the Tokyo Dome is my favorite BABYMETAL moment. I just love it and I revisit it frequently. this is the only performance of "TOTD" and it's great that it was followed by "The ONE" which is a sort of spinoff from "TOTD", based on that melody on the piano of the bridge that becomes "The ONE" main theme. By the way, I'm super fan of that choreographed jazzy little piano breakdown :)
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。(1) In an interview, Su-Metal said that she was not satisfied at all with her one-time-only performance of TOTD at Tokyo Dome and would like to challenge it again someday. [cf. Bessatsu "KADOKAWA" Oct.13, 2020 issue, Page 87] Many people looked forward to the "someday" during the last year's 10 BABYMETAL Budokan concerts like they did it with another one-time-only FDTD, but it did not happen. Someday may come or may not. Only the Fox God knows. (2) Normally too much repetitiveness in a song is boring. The One, however, gives you celestial bliss being immersed in the repeating phrase especially at the venue. I witnessed this song performed live 10 times at the venue. Every audience did not want it to come to an end. Every audience did want to be a part of the song forever. 😄
:When Babymetal chooses to use the unfinished version or part of it, at the live show I feel like I'm immersed/engulfed in Su-metal's voice from all sides As a Su-metal fan: bliss. 🙂
@@autohmae Immersed? I was drowned at Makuhari and Budokan. Yes, unfinished part of The One is addictive. Listening to Su's singing, each audience must be prepared to do the simple choreo with the girls.
Tales of the Destinies is one song that you can repeat over and over but still impossible to be bored. To be able to dance to music like that, they must have trained very hard🤘🔥
Su-metal: That song has no rhythm at all… well it’s there, but it’s not there (laughs). As such, the dance choreography was very difficult, and we spent a lot of time on it. As we practiced it over and over again I wondered if we could really perform it. And then… I can say this now, but I lost track of the sound about 10 seconds into the song, so I was completely lost for the first section, and it was a real source of regret. Tales is a really difficult song to perform, and I don’t know if I can perform it right now. I’m afraid to try because there’s a high possibility of failure, but at the same time, I still feel regrets and want to get my vengeance on it.
@@Beinomat Q: The 11th song on the album, ‘Tales of The Destinies’, to me is the highlight of the album and is the song that best symbolizes the concept of ‘Metal Resistance’. It is an extreme, almost overcooked kind of Technical Metal Progressive song that is…well, I must say, quite unusual. (laughs) Kobametal: (laughs) Upon opening the World map of Metal music, this song as well really made me stop and consider how are we going to deal with the genre of Progressive Metal represented by such bands that I love such much like Dream Theater. It took about 2 or 3 years to put it into the form that it is in now. As you can imagine, there were a multitude of hardships to overcome to do so. That goes for the performance side of it as well and we had to put it through countless, repeated changes to its arrangement to finally get it where it is now. Q: The performance side of this song is state of technical craziness that will go beyond that of even Dream Theater. Kobametal: I think it will be quite a difficult task (laughs). Q: Do you have plans to perform it live? Kobametal: I am thinking that if we can pull it off we should (laughs). Q: I am sure this must have been tough for the 3 members of Babymetal as well. Kobametal: They said that they did not know how to correctly work with the rhythm. However, what is a amazing is that once they get used to it I’m sure they will be able to perform it without problem. I’m not sure, but their incredible potential in these matters may come from being so young. They are truly astonishing. (laughs) Q: That is also highly unusual (laughs). Because this song is a storm of irregular beats. So, it seems that Kobametal-san likes to listen to Progressive Metal as well. Kobametal: Yes, I absolutely love Dream Theater. I have enjoyed listening to the whole range of that type of music from ‘Yes’ to ‘Rush’, ‘UK’, ‘Emerson, Lake and Palmer’ and others of this genre. And I also like jazz. Even if the music does not have vocals in it I enjoy the emotionality of music that leaves you with a sense of thrill wondering where the new change in the development of the song is going to lead you. I would love to some day have us take on Progressive Metal, but it does sound like a very challenging prospect. (laughs) Q: Listening to it that really comes across strongly. (laughs) Kobametal: Yes, but it is so obscure that for people who don’t play a musical instrument it is a song that they may not be able to comprehend at all (laughs). That said, those who can appreciate and enjoy it, I am sure they will truly enjoy it. Q: Of all the songs on ‘Metal Resistance’ I think this is one that will really hit home with people who are deeply into Metal. Further said, wouldn’t you say that we are now seeing a lot of new generation Technical Metal bands? Kobametal: Yes, I would agree. This is not limited to Metal it is also the post-Rock people and the guitarists and all the people who really get into music at a deep, no nonsense attitude kind of approach have increased in number. In that sense I think this song will reach those kinds of people at a deeper level. Those who get it, will get it. This kind of ‘well, those who don’t get it, won’t get it’ is a Babymetal kind of attitude that is OK. Some of Babymetal’s songs are incredibly catchy and popish, some songs are only for music maniacs, some are ballads and some are even like this song ‘Meta! Meta Tarou’.
Tales is kind of mind blowing, so many changes. And I think we can see how the choreography was hard to make, their were multiple. Some parts are brilliant fit others are kind of 'half time' and feel more disjointed, It's hard to perform, especially the instruments, I'm really glad it got performed, I wish it was more often. The performance at Tokyo Dome itself is amazing. the stage, the crowd size, the lights, etc. That moment Su-metal sees the crowd lights for the first time... The One tribute to the fans and with such a large crowd, I think Wembley Arena is best with flags. But many Babymetal performances are special.

See how emotional SU gets when she sees all the Lights for the first time: 16:33. Also, great reaction ;) These were two sold-out shows, each with 55.000 people, totalizing 110.000
Thank you for your reaction! I was there. This video brought back all the emotions I had at the time. This 2 days concerts at Tokyo Dome were absolutely the highlight in BABYMETAL's history until YUIMETAL left. It's a good memory that I wore the glowing collars handed out at this venue for both 2 days.
Sau. Moa and Yui always worked so hard but the complicated choreography they learned for TOTD was only used this one time. As far as I'm aware, this was the only time they performed this excellent Prog Rock song on stage.
The lights at Wembley show was impressive not as many but seemed more organic, people using their phones If you get a chance watch that show It has my favorite Akatsuki performance as well Wembley 2016 I think The first time they played there
"TOTD" is my favorite BM song and I bought the Tokyo Dome DVD just for it and the bridge into "The One". This is Koba walking an artistic tightrope. It's so obviously influenced by Dream Theater's "Dance of the Eternity" (even the titles sound similar) that it could have come off as totally derivative and ridiculous, but the unique singing and dancing talents of Babymetal and the virtuosity of the Kami Band make the whole performance amazing and very satisfying in the way it resolves from the chaotic time signatures into the more conventional theme of The One, especially with the almost achingly lovely piano ending. TOTD and the One are a pair and a hymn of thanks and solidarity from BM to their fans. TOTD encourages you to aim high and take your chance, which is I think why we have the moon landing intro, knowing that you have support. There's also the echo of the old Super Lady idea from Sakura Gakuin that you should always try to be better and always have the help of your friends. Something interesting I noticed the other day is that Dream Theater played at UK Sonisphere 2014 which was BM's breakout international live performance. I wonder if Koba heard them?
GJ on the double reaction. Would have been so cool to have been there. Just another great example of Babymetal performances being an experience to behold. Sometimes even for them. With a keen eye you can catch them checking out the audience sometimes. Yui said the hardest part of going over the crowd during the One was to keep doing the choreography. She wanted to wave to the crowd. I would have waved. Yup I'm not that professional. We did learn something about them from this. They have no fear of heights.
Just a small mistake: the first song is calle "Tales of the Destinies" In early show, BabyMetal also had those glowing sticks, but transitioned out of it and sometimes they give neckbrace/bracelet/headlights with lights remotely controlled At 16:34 did you notice SU's surprised expression? She saw for the first time all those lights and was amazed! One of the really few times you can catch her out of characer :)
You should definitely watch their first song's official video, it's adorable - ua-cam.com/video/cirhQ8iLdbw/v-deo.html Additionally, there is Gimme Chocolate, which is what blew up on the internet a while back, introducing them to a huge foreign audience - ua-cam.com/video/WIKqgE4BwAY/v-deo.html
in this one you can see what the Kami band is able to do. Tales of the destinies is VERY hard to perform and they did it like nothing...The One however always gives me goosebumps (what BM song doesn't?) Nice reaction as always. Maybe its time you do some Sakura Gakuin too. Greets from Germany as always.
@@verdychannel11 oh, it's an album by BTS👍. I thought it was a different group. I haven't listened to kpop yet but I'm glad that you're into it because I'm half korean. Ok tu as regardé tale of destiny au Tokyo dôme en 2016.

Song by BABYMETAL:-
Babymetal only performed this song once which is at the Tokyo Dome to a crowd of 55000 fans over two nights which total of 110000 fans. This is Progressive Metal different from Dream Theatre which focuses more on Rock. Su-Metal ear-in monitor malfunction just as the song is about to play. Su-Metal has to relied on The Kami Band tempo changes to be able to synchronise with The Kami Band. As pros, Babymetal did a superb job that night. Those who love progressive music will appreciate the technical aspects and precision of the Kami Band and Babymetal complicated choreography. The piano melody bridge will lead to the last song The One from their Metal Resistance Album. Put Your Kitsune Up. Progressive Metal at its best. Only done once live at the Tokyo Dome.

Overview Lyrics:-
No luck, no luck
The answer is always
It can't be helped
No no no no no that is not this

Where is the answer
No no no no

Don't worry Come on, be reborn
Don't worry
Count down
Count down
Let's get started
Set me free
Set me free
It doesn't stop, it doesn't end
Endless melody

We don't turn around
Now and forever
Now and forever
Eternal memory

The one will be with you
The one will be with you
Our the destinies
我らが the destinies
Isn't it useless?

Isn't it a dream?

THE ONE:-
This song was dedicated to the fans of Babymetal, referred to them as "THE ONE". As Babymetal performed all over the world, Su-Metal notice that the fans sang Babymetal songs in Japanese eventhough they don't understand Japanese. So this songs was composed specifically for the fans especially the non-Japanese speaking fans. Not every band took the time and effort to compose a song just for the fans thus making Babymetal special.

Lyrics:-
No reason why I can't understand it
No reason why I can't understand it
Open your mind, we can understand it
Open your mind, we can understand it
Please let me know
Please let me know
If there is an answer
Let me know
Let me know
I want you to tell me
Over time
We go
In the dazzling light
Our voice
Our dream
To our place
We are the one
We are the one
Together we're the only one
Together we're the only one
You are the one
You are the one
Forever you're the only one
Forever you're the only one
We are the one
We are the one
Together we're the only one
Together we're the only one
You are the one
You are the one
Forever you're the only one
Forever you're the only one
I feel it now
I feel it now
The time has come for us
The time has come for us
Believe it now
Believe it now
It's time to get ready
It's time to get ready
Tell me why
Tell me why
If there is an end
Tell me why
Tell me why
I want you to tell me
We stand in a circle pit
We stand in a circle pit
Side by side
Side by side
We stand in a circle pit
We stand in a circle pit
Raise your hands
Raise your hands
Our voice
Our dream
That place of us
To Kanata
We are the one
We are the one
Together we're the only one
Together we're the only one
You are the one
You are the one
Forever you're the only one
Forever you're the only one
We are the one
We are the one
Whenever we are on your side
Whenever we are on your side
You are the one
You are the one
Remember always on your side
Remember always on your side
We are the one
We are the one
Together we're the only one
Together we're the only one
You are the one

Tales of the Destinies and The One from Tokyo Dome. . .
This is the way.
Take of Destinies is my fave track by them.
Mine too it's a masterpiece
GJ on the double reaction. Would have been so cool to have been there. Just another great example of Babymetal performances being an experience to behold. Sometimes even for them. With a keen eye you can catch them checking out the audience sometimes. Yui said the hardest part of going over the crowd during the One was to keep doing the choreography. She wanted to wave to the crowd. I would have waved. Yup I'm not that professional. We did learn something about them from this. They have no fear of heights.
Just a small mistake: the first song is calle "Tales of the Destinies"
In early show, BabyMetal also had those glowing sticks, but transitioned out of it and sometimes they give neckbrace/bracelet/headlights with lights remotely controlled
At 16:34 did you notice SU's surprised expression? She saw for the first time all those lights and was amazed! One of the really few times you can catch her out of characer :)

Pure GREATNESS !! !!
EPIC!!!!!

You should definitely watch their first song's official video, it's adorable - ua-cam.com/video/cirhQ8iLdbw/v-deo.html
Additionally, there is Gimme Chocolate, which is what blew up on the internet a while back, introducing them to a huge foreign audience - ua-cam.com/video/WIKqgE4BwAY/v-deo.html
in this one you can see what the Kami band is able to do. Tales of the destinies is VERY hard to perform and they did it like nothing...The One however always gives me goosebumps (what BM song doesn't?) Nice reaction as always. Maybe its time you do some Sakura Gakuin too. Greets from Germany as always.
The song “the one” was dedicated to the fans and it was there first English song

Is there a reason why this video is unlisted? I'm totally looking forward to your reaction for sure. :-)
probably for patreons temporarily.
Tales of the destinies is one of my favorites from babymetal. Btw, what group is in the dark poster on the wall? I love your reactions Verdy. 🇵🇭🇰🇷
if you mean the one on top of my left shoulder it's BTS (map of the soul 7) it's a great album.
@@verdychannel11 oh, it's an album by BTS👍. I thought it was a different group. I haven't listened to kpop yet but I'm glad that you're into it because I'm half korean. I mostly listen to japanese music because of anime and video games I played when I was a child. Anyway, I'm looking forward for more content from you. 💓

Ok tu as regardé tale of destiny au Tokyo dôme en 2016.
