It's amazing how quiet and respectful the audience is, you could hear a pin drop. Anywhere else in the world and you'd get those few idiots who feel compelled to yell out in the quiet moments, for no real reason other than they can.
Funniest response to that kind of thing at a concert was Lou Reed. Between songs he was talking, telling a story as he often did and some clown decided to yell out for some unknown reason. Lou stopped and said "What was that...sorry, I couldn't hear because I was talking." Never one to suffer fools, and funnier than you'd think, the great Lou Reed.

Her voice gets better and more mature every year. She was 16 here. The Legend S version was her 20th birthday. This is the only slow song. She did do an acoustic version of akatsuki live at Legend of 1997.
Great reaction - and when you consider she wasn't happy that she was getting the emotion of the song across in her performance yet and didn't want this song included on the first album ... it went on the second album.
This is a rare song to hear - it has been played live only 5 times (this was the second) including both nights of the Legend S concerts in December 2017 - the video from that one is the one to watch, she really does get the emotion across there.
this song was a tribute to the track "Endless Rain" by the band "X JAPAN" (the pioneer of rock and metal in Japan)

If you have some minutes to spare, you have to watch the official video of this song! It's from December 2017 when Suzuka (the lead-singer) had her 20th birthday celebration show, playing the first time ever in her hometown Hiroshima.
The chances aren't that low Suzuka would tumble on the steps, but Su-metal probably thinks "couldn't they have made them more steep?" ;)
The Legend S version on their official channel is even more emotional. It's from her 20th birthday concert in her hometown Hiroshima and you can see the lyrics fitting into Hiroshima's history. There needs to be pain on the journey to end up with real happiness.
They retired this song for over 2 years because Su said she couldn't perform it properly with the right emotion. You should check out the version from Legend S on her 20th birthday

Every performance of this song is worth seeing.
IMO, they just keep getting better and better.
You can understand how their producer Koba could hear Su when she was only ten years old, and decide to build a metal group around her "no limit-ness" singing.
She was sixteen here at Budokan.
IMO, she surpassed this beautiful rendition with her performance at Tokyo Dome, and the version of this song at 'Legend S', her 20th birthday concert at her home prefecture of Hiroshima is even better.
Leda Cygnus, the guitarist on the left, did the arrangement for the studio track.
He was there the first three times this song was performed.
We used to say, "No Leda, No 'No Rain, No Rainbow'." : )

Second the Legend S performance. While this one is great, Legend S is just better all around, four more years of experience, more mature voice, and live orchestration..
Totally agree. And on that version, I almost lose it every time at the end when you can hear in her voice that she's on the verge of crying.
The Legend S Baptism XX version is even more emotional for Su:
1) It was her 20th birthday celebration; the age of majority in Japan as is 21 in US
2) It was in her hometowm of Hiroshima and she is a descendent of a WWII bombing survivor
3) It was the first time they performed without Yuimetal. (In a 2020 interview Moa stated that Su was deeply saddened by Yui's absence).
You two are high as a kite and I love it.
All I can say about Suzuka Nakamoto is: she is not from this planet! When I heared this song for the first time, i felt like flying to Japan and marry her (just kidding). And as for tissues, I always need them when she sings (sniff!) Greets from Germany and stay safe!

In Japanese and Spanish they make me cry. It touched my heart, straight to my feelings. That's why it's one of my favorite BABYMETAL songs.
Like others have mentioned, in the Legend S performance Su had mastered the emotion of the song and created a masterpiece.

You guys aren't going to believe me but of all the members of BabyMetal and the Kami Band, Su is the klutziest. Bit when she is on that stage, she is infallible.
They did have Riho Sayashi as a supporting dancer in 2019 and 2020.

Great reaction to a criminally underreacted to song. I noticed you guys caught on to how intricate the stage is, and this video does in no way bring it the kind of justice it deserves. Great reaction. Now that you've seen this version, you should watch the Legend S Baptism XX version of this song. Since she's older in that version, her voice has a lot more emotion in it. Heck, she almost starts to cry near then end (you can hear it in her voice). Grabs me every time.

You should hear her sing this with a matured voice. Tokyo Dome, which was only two years later, is light years improved and may be her best vocal performance on record. Same with the performance of this song at her 20th birthday concert in Hiroshima (Legend S).
16 years old and she kills it. you got to watch this song from Legend S. they had an orchestra and she was more mature and it makes you want to cry even if you dont know what she is saying but you can feel the emotions.
