Yeah, its annoying to hear reactors, not just normies, go on and on about how long the series is and how they went through a journey and they say we watched for like 3 years...the people watching had to wait between filler for over 10 years week to week. Only Neji could have this impact here. His whole theme was that his destiny was that he had to die for the main branch (Hinata), but just like his father, he could make that choice himself, he chose to not let Hinata die there. And Neji's theme here ties well with Naruto's new theme that he can't be acting recklessly or give up, because there are people around him who love him and would sacrifice themselves for him in an instant. Just like Hinata was for Naruto, and just like Neji was for Hinata. I feel this theme is very relatable, our parents, friends, lovers, teachers, therapists and more have carried us in their hearts and wished for us to succeed.

I really appreciate the central villains in Naruto Shippuden because although they do morally terrible things, they're mainly motivated by deep trauma and personal pain. And they all highlight the major problems with the Shinobi world. When Obito asks Naruto about whether he can still say that he'll "never abandon his comrades", you can tell Obito is speaking from a place of deep pain - probably made worse by Madara's emotional abuse and manipulation. Madara spent his life as a child soldier, watched hundreds of Uchiha children die around him, endured unfair racism from the Senju, lost his brother and eventually his entire clan. Nagato was also a child of war, living in an oppressive world where warring states don't care about the colossal damage they cause. Obito gave everything to the Leaf Village only to see Kakashi kill the girl he loved and never face accountability for his actions. Even douchebag Sasuke has a tragic story motivating his pursuit of revenge - dude survived a genocide, I'd also be perpetually pissed and bitter.
It's not pain he feels but spite. Obito willing abandoned his comrades and he loves rubbing in others suffering because it validates his own choice to forsake everything. He is the embodiment of denial and he would rather instigate more tragedies before he'd admit that you can heal and move forward. Compared to other villains who are genuine victims of the ninja system Obito is a man child throwing a homicidal tantrum.
Madara didn't endure unfair racism. If he didnt act the way he did, no one in the leaf would've distrusted the Uchiha. Even his own clan turned against him because they saw how unreasonable his views were.
The manga is a bit different. The manga shows Ino’s father, knowing certain doom , lamenting that he couldn’t do anything. Shikamaru’s father counters that he still can help with his plan to defeat Ten Tails. The manga presents the spikes getting close to Naruto just as Hinata is rushing to get in front of him. That's the difference between watching this anime now and watching it when it was airing weekly, the old naruto characters from part 1 were appearing in the fillers, no matter how much we hated going through the filler arcs, spending time watching those characters was inescapable, but watching it now and skipping all the fillers, you just feel like you haven't spent enough time with them to care that much about someone's death.
Which is why I support watching filler (if a person's schedule allows) the first time they watch an anime. It allows for more context and a greater sense of connection with the viewers
Man that moment when Shikamaru and Ino realizes their dads are dead and has to stay strong because of the battle gets my tears running I know that feeling, it is horrible to push such feelings aside to do what must be done, my dad died when I was 27 years old exactly 1 week before my 28th birthday when me, mom and lil brother were about 100 miles from home and I had to focus on driving the car back home the next morning. Driving the car was like trying to function in a haze of thoughts, so I admire Shikamaru standing so freakin firm in that moment Anyway, after this episode Naruto and Hinata went on a date and hade ramen and made babies :)
The fact that they knew they couldn't get away, so they made the best use of the time that they had left to give everyone the best chance to win. That's just being a great person, let alone father and parent. Getting the job done now, then deal with the aftermath later

Neiji death is significant. It hurts for the fans but it’s important to the story. Neiji is important to a lot of people but mostly naruto and hinata. Neiji giving his life to protect two people who he thought were failures is huge for his character development.
I remember Neji's death making me cry back when I first saw it, but I wasn't expecting to cry again watching it in y'all's reaction 😭😭😭 I'm a wreck lol
Honesty, I have never been an Obito fan. He was far more intimidating when he had on the mask and was disguising his voice. His reveal felt underwhelming and I could never get behind his motivation. That being said; listening to him mock Naruto for his failure to protect his friend, as they die in his arms was savage. Daring Naruto to repeat his vow to not let his friend die, all while bringing focus to the bodies littered around him. This was a great villain move.
"Why Neji?" Well, because he had a moment with Naruto that the story can capitalise on and wring some emotions out of, but he is also expendable and all his potential cool moments are basically spent by now.
You may not know this cause you didn't watch the fillers but Neji was just about to achieve great things in their clan. Instead of Hinata, the princess of hyuuga, his father put Neji in charge of the hyuga during war meaning in the future Neji, someone from branch house was potentially gonna be the leader of the Hyuga which meant everything he tried to do and prove was gonna be achieved
Its pretty normal for Neji to be the one who dies. Among all side characters outside of team 7 Lee, Neji, Hinata and Shikamaru were the most loved ones and got most screentime but the difference for Neji is becuase of his backstory and his family. They were used to die for the main family and just sacrifice in general so he not just protected Hinata but Naruto too. He had a different bond with Naruto. I could only imagine Shikamaru to be one of those who sacrifice himself but Neji was a good option even tho he was my favourite character until war arc.

Yall have been watching this since i started my first job in electronics. Since then i started watching the channel just for the Naruto reactions. Its been a ride, and ill still be here when you guys watch the last Naruto Movie and even through Boruto :)
Great reaction guys, keep it up! Long no spoiler paragraph on why I think your reactions are better than others. I’m glad you guys didn’t diss Nejis death like lots of people do. They say “ oh why didn’t they deflect them with 8trigrams rotation?” Or “just move naruto out of the way”. Everyone stated that it was a focused attack and Neji says that he couldn’t keep up with the other attack much less the focused one. Don’t get me wrong I think the writer wanted someone to die here to help develop the story and it only makes sense once you really think about it. WITHOUT SPOILING ANYTHING! I will say that like every death in the show it is usually referenced again later. And if you guys plan on watching Boruto (which I highly recommend) you will see a great moment that makes me feel much better about this moment.
F for Shikakau and Inoichi and all the others at the HQ. They really worked till the end instead of trying to run such heros !. Also its cool to see that when naruto fought Pain his limit were 2 Rasenshuriken in Sage Mode. Not its 5. Really shows that he trained and learend through the episodes. Also Nejis death is really sad and it rellay hits because there is no build up just like in a real war. Its also Especially heavy considering how Obito throws Narutos own words against him. He nearly broke him right there. But i like that they let some Characters we love and cared for die. Because this is war. Its hell. And people die all around you. It really show how terrible this all is. Also Kurama and Hinata giving Naruto the talk was awsome espaccally kurama :D.
The byakugan is implied to be more powerful than the base 3 tomoe sharingan, but there are so many mangekyou users as of late the byakugan just seems like the worst dojutsu Though for the mangekyou, and all of sharingan stages you need immense emotional pain, the byakugan is just a trainable boost that gets stronger the more you train it
It was neji because of the simple fact that it would be doubly painful first losing the character himself who is so much like Naruto and he not losing one of her family members. Then Hinata could use that death to give Naruto his own inspiring speech right back at him. Other people might have been a sad loss but it wouldn't have been the same as any other character that would have supplied that kind of emotional impact well they don't want them to die off just yet they might kill off more characters by the end of the war but for now they wanted it to be a moderately loved character that if you didn't see for a while it was no big deal but at the same time each time you saw him you grew to love him more and more.
"Alright, we gotta kill off someone in this war, but who? The loss can't be *too* great tho or people might get mad. ....hey, Neji ain't doing much these days, and Hinata's already got the Hyuga box checked. Ten Tails, use Pin Missle!" - Kishimoto, probably
I still think this was one of the worst developments for the story. Neji, the first character to argue that fate in unavoidable, got beaten and naruto convinced him he could change his fate. Then he goes and sacrifices himself for the main family just like his father did. Doesn’t matter if he still believed his old ideals or not, the REASON he did it remained the same, to protect the main family. If it were Lee or Tenten, chances are he wouldn’t have done that. This and a later plot twist just really shit on the concept that hard work beats talent and that fate is avoidable/changeable.
Obito really defeated Naruto as far as ideology..Naruto needs to learn that he can't control life and death of his loved ones. I like that Obito called him out on it and Naruto sat there dumbfounded with no comeback bc there wasn't one.
Was Neji really free? He thought his destiny was to always protect Hinata and the main household until Naruto convinced him otherwise. And that's exactly what he died doing.
I don't know if it's because I was all excited for you to see this one, or because I'm watching with you (in a way) this episode but, I don't remember this episode to be so well done. I'm really looking forward to the next ones. And what a disgrace for the dude that spoiled Suraj.
One of the saddest ep that makes you want to turn of the PC/TV and lie down or take a walk and think about nothing or just contemplate life.. this was Hinata ep as much as it was Neji's.. he needed them both to keep him grounded and to remind him of his ninja way.. poor girl couldn't grieve, just like Shikamaru and Ino... sadness all over... An just like that Naruto learns to transfer chakra.. his speed at learning is increasing as seen when he visited mount miobokue....
Some people dislike what happened to Neji, but I see it as a completion of his arc... 1)he once despised Hinata and thought little of Naruto but here he put his life on the line for them, of his own free will 2) War is ugly, a war about protecting Naruto was always going to be heavy on his shoulders, and would cost others dearly, how abruptly it happened reflects that reality 3)Naruto's ninja way has always been tested by the villains, this episode is yet another step of growth for him only this time, Obito's words of accepting a dream world are not thrown back at him by Naruto, but by those who believe in him...Naruto's ninja way is becoming everyone's ninja way in a sense, he doesn't have to carry it all as before
Hte coldest scene and most devastating lines in an anime I've ever heard and seen when obito says "naruto" u said "I'll never let my comrades die" now look around u and try to say that again( as the scene of hundreds of people dead bodies are shown behind him and neji body in his arm) try to say that again as ur comrade bodies grows cold in ur arms, it truly gave me sheer goosebumps
The same concept you had with shikumaru, and ino’s dad dying in the war the fight must go on is same with neji that’s y he didn’t get no special treatment

I still wonder how things would've unfolded if Hinata wasn't there for Naruto.
I was hyped when Obito told Madara off, of course it's not the only time Madara literally was left with little to say after a statement.
I may not like Obito as a character that much, but that speech he gave to Naruto was straight fire!
"You’re eyes maybe Greater than mine Naruto"
*-Neji*
when Suraj said "hey EAT THIS!" when bee dropped in LOL
4:38
8:40
13:12
the hyugas so faithful to the sheet and so underestimated throughout the work.
Neji is finally free 🕊
I liked the analysis of 10 tails,it really reminded me of Lovecraft's creatures
Guys the evolution of the byakugan is the sharingan. This was explained way back in the chunin exams
When I watched this episode for the first time I cried so much when neji died
In a way neji died being right about fate cuz Narutos dad with the fourth, he had the best teachers and he was destined to bring peace by the toad
"The only two Tai-Jutsu Users we know in the show". Hyuugas will be irritated by this sentence.
Neji, the ultimate "Wingman".
Get it? Cuz birds, wings
The byakugan is implied to be more powerful than the base 3 tomoe sharingan, but there are so many mangekyou users as of late the byakugan just seems like the worst dojutsu
Though for the mangekyou, and all of sharingan stages you need immense emotional pain, the byakugan is just a trainable boost that gets stronger the more you train it
I wish more abilities were added to Byakugan or decrease the number of abilities Sharingan had
This and a later plot twist just really shit on the concept that hard work beats talent and that fate is avoidable/changeable.
her cousin lying dead in the dirt after being impaled to protect her, and hinata is like "naruto's hand is so big and strong" GIRL 🙄
Obito really defeated Naruto as far as ideology..Naruto needs to learn that he can't control life and death of his loved ones. I like that Obito called him out on it and Naruto sat there dumbfounded with no comeback bc there wasn't one.
Suraj was talking about resurrection of Hokages. Has he been spoiled on that as well?
No he was talking about the resurrection of the Kages, since they're in a pretty bad state right now. He meant healing them
maybe he did get spoiled on that too ?
Was Neji really free? He thought his destiny was to always protect Hinata and the main household until Naruto convinced him otherwise. And that's exactly what he died doing.
What
Should've been Hiashi
Yea but at least he chose to do it this time and was not forced that’s what makes it more special
*neji dies*
Hinata: Naruto's hand is so big and comforting
Lol, Hinata's love still goes wooossh even now. Naruto wouldve held Lee's hand and said that those words if he happened to be next of him
“i love your content! you help me thru a dark place”
“also neji dies”
what a fucking chad
The cry from Lee “Neji” right off he dies in subs makes it more impactful than Dub
RIP GOAT NEJI, and THE ENTIRE HQ
Surj mimicking Lee cracked me up man 🤣🤣🤣
Kishimoto really said “I guess Neji can die”
Also to answer why Neji if he killed anyone else other than Shikamaru No one would care Maybe Lee tho.
Nah people would have been just as upset if you lost any of the younger generation
@@aceofspade2120 ehh would not care for ten ten , chjoji, shino, kiba
@@juliett6155 that's you. Let them get bodied with zero warning in one video
@@aceofspade2120 also forgot sakura yea i would not cared if she died like absolutely 0
Hiashi should've died instead of Neji
Where can I finish the whole Naruto Shippuden in English dubbed ? I can’t on Hulu because it stops at eps 140
And this outro is also foreshadowing something, on the next episode.
hahaha "true love jutsu" 15:58 🤣
Remember in chuunin exams when we thought Byakugan was the superior kekkei genkai? Good times.
Neji’s death had me balling hella hard when I first watched it. Nothing can prepare me for Neji’s death😭😭😭
More episodes plz guys,y’all are amazing 💯
No they're garbage trash ass reactors who are trying to milk their patreon
Man I can’t wait until you guys get to Might Guy goating himself
13:45 umm 😅
Neji's last words always hits hard 🥺
18:11 that's actually wild 🤔
19:31 Navi's litle I can't believe he died 😭😭
It has been 5 years since watched this and i am still no over Neji's death
AO survives and become villain in boruto and dies after 3 episode, genius writing.
I can't believe I have to wait another week 😭
I don't know if it's because I was all excited for you to see this one, or because I'm watching with you (in a way) this episode but, I don't remember this episode to be so well done. I'm really looking forward to the next ones.
And what a disgrace for the dude that spoiled Suraj.
Idk the way he did it made me laugh out loud
The writers first picked Kiba to be the character to die but they figured that it would be a bigger impact if Neji died.
Rock Lee when he gets to neji it hits so hard
Some people dislike what happened to Neji, but I see it as a completion of his arc...
1)he once despised Hinata and thought little of Naruto but here he put his life on the line for them, of his own free will
2) War is ugly, a war about protecting Naruto was always going to be heavy on his shoulders, and would cost others dearly, how abruptly it happened reflects that reality
3)Naruto's ninja way has always been tested by the villains, this episode is yet another step of growth for him only this time, Obito's words of accepting a dream world are not thrown back at him by Naruto, but by those who believe in him...Naruto's ninja way is becoming everyone's ninja way in a sense, he doesn't have to carry it all as before
Now they truly know Pain...*sniff* Neji 🥺🥺🥺
Hte coldest scene and most devastating lines in an anime I've ever heard and seen when obito says "naruto" u said "I'll never let my comrades die" now look around u and try to say that again( as the scene of hundreds of people dead bodies are shown behind him and neji body in his arm) try to say that again as ur comrade bodies grows cold in ur arms, it truly gave me sheer goosebumps
you guys should watch the chunnin exam filler, the time settings when naruto and Jiraiya left the leaf
The same concept you had with shikumaru, and ino’s dad dying in the war the fight must go on is same with neji that’s y he didn’t get no special treatment
At this point in the manga, I knew Ino, Shikamaru and Hinata would survive the war.
>Byakugan
>Shit tier
Frankly, I like the eye that doesn't require world shattering trauma to activate.
You all are gonna have a long wait for Naruto and Hinata's relationship.
