This ^ I was pretty bummed he wasn't in it. I'd be okay waiting extra weeks for these huge episodes as long as everyones in it. Seems like in all the big ones there's always one missing.
This is arguably the best fight in Naruto, the amount of background to their fight, how well animated it is, it’s hand to hand combat, and the flashbacks are intertwined with the fight rather than pull away from the battle, it’s perfect
Last fight, hands down. The scale of their fight, being the 2 strongest ninjas alive, the clash of opposite ideals, their relationship, the animation, the music, the choreography. Everything was just top-tier.
Kakashi vs Obito is, in my opinion, the best fight of Naruto, especially if you think of the entire context of the fight and their backstories, as well as the perfect soundtracks to accompany the fight. Despite being short, the taijutsu choreography is pure badassery, with amazing cinematography displaying the parallel imagery of "then" and "now", all without being over-the-top. If for some reason I was hesitant in my decision, the shot of the current Obito pushing away his past self, accompanied by the very fitting "Tragic" OST, confirms it.
This episode is one of Kishimotos fan favorite episodes of the franchise. Btw this episode done by 5 fans/animators of the franchise. The director and animation supervisor of this episode was Hiroyuki Yamashita.
Its crazy when you realize that the 2nd half of the episode was just Obito clinging onto life; while simultaneously fighting for control over his own body to counter Madara's Rinne-rebirth jutsu, while also performing a sealing jutsu to turn himself into the 10-Tails jinchuriki... all without even having a heart in his body. Obito's willpower is insane and Hashirama cells are truly undefeated.
His plot armor is insane lol, Obito should have died as far back as his fight with Konan. Now you’re telling me he can survive without a heart? Makes zero sense
@@shadowblade1205 him surviving Konan by using Izanagi made sense. And hes already missing half his body so surviving of a bit without a heart makes enough sense as well. Hes mostly artificial anyways.

This episode had 2 things you could catch if you paid _suuuuper_ close attention: 1. Minato's "Flying Raijin mark never disappears" statement. This was actually shown when the Hokages arrived on the battlefield, as Minato was able to teleport the Ten-Tails' Bijuu Bomb away by using the mark he had placed on Octopops' tentacle in the flashback when he fought the Raikage & Bee. 2. Obito not using the Rinne Rebirth jutsu at all. This was more of a misdirect thing, since both anime & manga decided to show us Madara starting to re-form, but we've actually seen the Rinne Rebirth jutsu when Nagato revived Konoha. I love this fight so much. The simplicity of using, what, four jutsu throughout? (counting the lightning clone emerging and popping as one). The taijutsu focus, the use of kunai, everything. Showing how impressive and intense the battles can be without huge, flashy jutsu, or a million transformations, or a giant monster. I think the best bit for me is that little tremor of Kakashi's hand after. Feels like it speaks so much, that he's reliving the experience with Rin, he's breaking his word to never let a comrade die yet again, and (maybe me overthinking) letting go of the faint hope of bringing back the past Obito. There are fights that are larger spectacles, but this is my number one Naruto fight, bar none. Probably top 10 of all the anime I've watched.

Obito’s voice sounds like Silco from Arcane.
Absolutely ecstatic Chris wasn’t here to ruin this reaction like he usually does.
I'm like "Why did they skip episodes?" ... I had totally forgotten Mecha-Naruto, I mean I didn't forget him cuz he's a character in the storm games, including the last one and was single-handedly my favorite filler arc story in a game but I forgot it took place here.
From what I recall there are kind of 3 filler arcs one is partially an Itachi story from the Novels which is Canon and they should watch , there is the Dreams arc which was pure filler then the whole Chounin exams (basically we see how they ranked up)
