My tractor key switch went bad & figured Id add a button on here too now. Surprised how little I found online about starter buttons. Nice to have one already installed that bypasses everything till you have time to chase your bad safety switch down. Thanks

Thumbs up, great video man. Your instructions are easy to follow, straight and to the point. I often find with so many of the @UA-cam instructional videos the person talks to fast, doesn't speak clearly or they're accent is so strong I'm unable to understand what they are saying and as a result I'm forced to either watch the video over often several times over or watch another video.

Saw a fuse or two inside the tractor but nobody else mentions them anywhere I been here on YT. Did not see any other connection on starter but the thick red wire and bold it was on.

you hook up one of the wires from the button to the selonoid, not the starter.
hook up the other wire from the button to either the battery direct, with a inline fuse for safety, or hook it up to a 20 amp fuse in the fuse box, i would use the battery myself.

Hi, would I be able to splice into the starter "cold" wire coming out of the key cylinder, instead of running a new wire to my starter ? It seems my car will only start when cold, but once warmed up, the starter doesn't receive power thus womt start up again.

With an early 70's v8 car:
    - how would I setup the push button where the key no longer starts the car, but is still required, and still runs all accessories. Would also like an ignition switch right next to the push button start.
    - any amp size button works? Some cool ones on the market but they seem to have low amps, not sure if that'll work. Same question for the ignition toggle switch.
    Thanks.

A push button is not a single pole single throw switch. It is a momentary switch there is a difference. A single pole single throw is a simple on off. A push button energizes as long as it is held, once released it is deenergized.
