Yep but this song is not a Blondie's one. Written by the excellent and under rated jamaican band "The Paragons" as "Kingston Town" is not a UB40 song but Lord Creator's one. But that proves that Blondie gets a musical culture that the people doesn't get... But it's more easy to be good when you sing another's song. ;P That's why that's essential to me to remind this song is great because it was written by John Holt and it's a good time to speak about this wonderful band called the Paragons which is one of the first "modern reggae" band and we owe them the origins of dub music. One of the reggae band which use many instruments (like violin which is rare in reggae) ou different vocals, they have many good singers.
One other thing: this performance is almost a generation after Debbie Harry'/Blondie's original recording of it. From their appearance, most of the audience here hadn't even reached double figures agewise at that point. Yet they know, and love, every word of its lyrics. Pretty cool.
