    Trinity World has a nasty habit of relying upon Scripture verses which have been corrupted by cherry picking the manuscript variant which suits their doctrinal fancies. Possibilities do not amount to factual evidence - especially unlikely possibilities.

      What Scripture do you have in mind that prohibits praying to exalted men?

    • @TheTrinityDelusion
      @TheTrinityDelusion  7 років тому +3

      Where did you get the idea that Stephen's words constitute a "prayer?" You have many more assumptions here than facts. Even further, did God not make Jesus into Stephen's Lord? Didn't God the Father entrust the risen man Jesus with everything? If you can't call upon your own Lord to receive something from you, what sense does that make?

    • @TheTrinityDelusion
      @TheTrinityDelusion  7 років тому +5

      The word epikaleo just means to call upon. Stephen was calling upon Jesus. I don't see where Stephen is "praying" to Jesus. He is not making a petition of request. This is imagined into the text without thinking about it.. Jesus is his Lord and he had already entrusted his life to his Lord and Savior and he is entrusting that life to him now. Likewise, Jesus wasn't "praying" for the Father to receive his spirit when he was dying (Luke 23:46). He was simply entrusting his spirit to God. I'm not sure why you are talking about more than one deity. God made the risen Jesus Lord of all heaven and earth just as He had made David Lord of Israel. Nobody said God made Jesus "God." It sounds like you are confused about the word "Lord."

    • @TheTrinityDelusion
      @TheTrinityDelusion  7 років тому +6

      You keep identifying what Stephen did as a prayer. WHY? Was Jesus praying at Luke 23:46? No, that's not a prayer. Jesus taught us to pray to the Father and that's why this is what you see throughout the New Testament. We have this access to the Father through Jesus. That's why we are taught to pray in the name of Jesus. It makes absolutely no sense to pray to Jesus in the name of Jesus. We pray to the Father in the name of Jesus his beloved son.

    • @TheTrinityDelusion
      @TheTrinityDelusion  7 років тому +2

      I never said we shouldn't call upon Jesus to receive our spirit. Why can you not understand what I am saying? You keep referring to Acts 7:59 as a prayer but you haven't explained why. Do you suppose that Luke 23:46 is a prayer too?

    A passage that has been added to is Matthew 28:19. Even though this passage reads the same even in the earliest manuscripts, it was added early back when they were really trying to promote the trinity doctrine. I just know Matt. 28:19 is not right.
    Jesus did NOT invoke the Trinity at the very end of this Book after not saying a word about it all through the Gospels.
    we have "Go ye therefore unto all nations...baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit". The part following the ellipsis is more than likely spurious and was added as early as the second century. It seems so out of place.
    The Hebrew Matthew reads:
    "Go, and teach them to carry out all things which I have commanded you forever"
    No Trinity mentioned.

    • @SmalltimR
      @SmalltimR 5 років тому +3

      I must admit, the baptism formula of Matt 28 is highly suspicious, though it remains that we do not have sufficient evidence to dismiss the words at this time.
      Though I don't think this in itself undermines God's nature, given the vast amount of supporting declarations and passages in the Bible.

    • @rickdavis2235

      Jesus claimed to be God all throughout the New Testament. You can't simply read the Bible and hope to understand the mysteries of God. It takes deep study to be able to understand it, especially when you have someone who claims to be knowledgeabe guiding your though processes. My church just spent 14 months studying the book of John and how it relates to the Old Testament. The Word in John 1 isn't something cool that John just made up.
      Daniel 7:9-10
      9 “As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat;
      his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool;
      his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.
      10 A stream of fire issued and came out from before him;
      a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.
      There’s a lot of rabbinic inter-testamental discussion on this passage. The passage reads, “as I looked, thrones, (notice the plural, were placed, and the Ancient of Days took His seat;”)
      We know that the Ancient of Days is God, so God is seated now, “his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.” This is language drawn from Ezekiel 1 where it’s very clearly God on His throne chariot, so there’s no ambiguity here. This is God.
      A stream of fire issued and came out from before him;” …so on and so forth, “the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.”
      You may ask what’s the big deal. Well, if you go down to verse 13, we read:
      Daniel 7:13
      “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a Son of Man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him.” So we have a second figure here. They’re both in the same verse, Son of Man and Ancient of Days, but it’s to the Son of Man that everlasting kingship is given.
      We need to talk about the coming on the clouds of heaven because the Jewish community knew that that was an epithet, a title that you would give only to deity, and only to YHWH, but YHWH is already in the passage so who’s this other guy? He’s the Son of Man, in other words, one like a human being.
      Do you know this passage?

    I was deceived into believing the Trinity doctrine but it never made sense. Who did Jesus pray to in the garden? Who did Jesus cry out to from the cross asking why he was being forsaken? “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do” who was Jesus talking to? Himself? When Jesus was baptized and God said Jesus was His son and has pleased him greatly, the Holy Spirit that came upon Jesus when he was baptized. Did Jesus send the Holy Spirit upon himself? Trying to sort all this in your mind to make the trinity fit makes a person crazy.
    There is one God and His Holy Spirit. There is one Son who was sent by his Father to save humanity from themselves.

    Here is another verse that says Jesus doesn't know and he doesn't have the authority to grant somebody to sit on his right or left in his Kingdom?
    A Mother’s Request
    20:20-28pp - Mk 10:35-45
    20 Then the mother of Zebedee’s sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.
    21 “What is it you want?” he asked.
    She said, “Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom.”
    22 “You don’t know what you are asking,” Jesus said to them. “Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?”
    “We can,” they answered.
    23 Jesus said to them, “You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father.”
    24 When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.
    Matthew 20:20-24

The GOD of Israel has not and NEVER handed the control of heavens and the earth to somebody else. HE hold all things together. The Lord JESUS CHRIST is The GOD of Israel. 1 Cor. 15:24-28 does not mean there will be turn over of power from somebody else to GOD. Or that somebody else other than GOD is in control of Heavens and earth right now. Everything is under the control of GOD and forever GOD is in control.

      "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." in Matthew 28:18
      GOD has NOT given away the control of Heaven and earth to somebody else (like Michael the Archangel as the JW & SDA believe). So that 1 Cor. 15:24-28 there will be turn over of power from Michael the Archangel to GOD. But that was fulfillment of the many Prophecies from the law and the Prophets. Like what GOD promise to David that one of David's son will succeed David's throne FOREVER (1 Chronicles 17:11-14). By birth HE was born from David's bloodline as Mary comes from Nathan, David's Son. How do you explain Isaiah 42:8 and Isaiah 48:11 where Yahweh says He will not give His glory to another, but we see in Revelation that God and the Lamb are receiving the same worship? Worshipping anyone but God is idolatry, so why is someone other than God being worshipped? What about Isaiah 41:4 where Yahweh says He is the First and the Last, and Jesus calls Himself this in Revelation 1:11,17 and 22:13. How about Hebrews 1:8-9 in which God is quoting Psalm 45:6-7 to the Son, and Hebrews 1:10-12 where God is quoting Psalm 102:25-27 to the Son? What about Genesis 19:24 where Yahweh rained brimstone and fire from Yahweh out of the heavens? What about Ezekiel’s conversation with Yahweh in 3:22 - 5:17? Yahweh tells Ezekiel that He will speak with him in the plain, and when Ezekiel gets to the plain, it is the Spirit is talking with him and telling Ezekiel all that he needs to know. Please explain this. How about Exodus ch.3 when the Angel of the LORD says in verse 6 that He is the God of Moses’ father, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob? Who does this Angel think He is? There’s only one God, but you have an Angel claiming to be God. Also, why is the Holy Spirit always referred to as a He? We also know that the Holy Spirit speaks to people in the New Testament such as Acts and Revelation and we also know that the Holy Spirit can be grieved. There are countless more examples of why the Father is God, Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Somehow God is a compound being of 3 persons. No, the word Trinity is not in the Bible, but the word masturbation isn’t in the Bible either, but I guess it’s ok to do so since it’s not directly forbidden in the Bible. See why that’s a dumb argument? The doctrine and concept of the Trinity is found throughout the Old and New Testament.

      I have not done an examination of Trinity resistant Bibles, but I can tell you a good place to start is to use a Bible that contains the divine name, the Tetragrammaton, modernly expressed as YHWH, JHVH, Yahweh, or Jehovah.
      The Trinitarians often use the "Lord" = Jesus trick. With a Bible that gives God's name instead of "Lord" or "LORD," it foils many of the deceptions. Moreover, it gives you, as the reader, a better sense of just who is speaking.
      I have been using Bible Hub and Bible Gateway to do scripture look up. Both are online resources that you can use for free. I can't give you the links because UA-cam will not allow it, but you should find them in a search easy enough.
      The Bibles I have been using the most are Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) and World English Bible (WEB) that give Yahweh as the divine name. Also, I use the American Standard Version (ASV), Young's Literal Translation (YLT), and Darby Bible Translation (DBT) which use Jehovah for the divine name.

      God was speaking to elohim when He said that, not men.
      The term, elohim is used to describe:
      The God of Israel
      The gods of the nations (1 Kings 11:33, one of three elohim is a goddess)
      The gods of Yahweh’s council
      Demons (Deut. 32:17)
      A deceased human being (1 Samuel 28:13)
      Angels (angel of the LORD)
      There are many uses for elohim in the bible but there is only one single, unique Elohim in the entire spiritual world who is the one we should worship, who is the one that’s the creator and so on. What Elohim really means, you need a succinct definition:
      It’s a term that you would use to denote “place of residence”, that is YHWH is at the center of it all. He alone is the single, unique Elohim that is creator and whom we worship.
      The biblical use of the word, elohim, shows us that it’s not tied to a specific set of attributes. That explains why more than one thing gets described with the term. English translations at times obscure that and, since elohim is not about attributes, the biblical writers were not denying monotheism by using that word to describe other figures they believed were real that were also elohim. This undercuts the problem of a Christian going to a Jew and talking about Jesus as God to just say Jesus is elohim along with God the Father is elohim. Divine plurality language should not be a threat to Jews.
      YHWH is an elohim and no other elohim is YHWH. That means YHWH is inherently superior; He is in command, He is ontologically superior to anything else in the spiritual world as well as our world too. The word, elohim, is both singular and plural, depending on what verb you put with it. An example in the english language would be sheep. If I say, the sheep is lost, we know that there is one sheep so sheep is singular. If I say the sheep are lost, I know there are more than one sheep so sheep is plural.

    TU on the video!
    Concerning 2 Pet 1:1 I have no issue with ... even the NWT say's Simon Peter, a slave and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have acquired a faith as precious as ours through *the righteousness of our God and the Savior Jesus Christ:* It does not say, the righteousness of our God the Savior Jesus Christ. The word "and" stipulates two persons like Tom and Jerry. Why would I make Tom and Jerry are one person and the same?
    The Bible context shows the Trinity is simply unscriptural. The formula of the Trinity is not even stated in scriptures. If you have to assume, twist and add to the scripture to get the Trinity then it’s obvious, you’re not viewing the scriptures in the same way as Jesus and his Apostles! Paul warning … “8 However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond the good news we (Jesus and his Apostles) declared to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, I now say again, Whoever is declaring to you as good news something beyond what you accepted, let him be accursed.” Ga 1:8, 9

    There is a lot of manuscript attestation for John 3:13 reading, "which is in heaven." It would be nice to see some documentation to back up the claim that "which is in heaven" is incorrect.
    I checked 1 Cor. 10:9 and found that Christ actually appears in the original Greek manuscripts. I do not see any evidence where any reputable manuscript evidence which ever uses "kurios" for "Lord" ever appears in any Greek manuscript.
    Jesus does not appear in the original Greek in Jude 1:5.
    Clement of Alexandria cited Acts 20:28 as "the Church of God which he has purchased with his own blood." Since Clement of Alexandria cited Acts 20:28 in the late second century (about 190-198) we know that the earliest scriptural evidence points to "the church of God" as being correct.

    • @TheTrinityDelusion
      @TheTrinityDelusion  7 років тому +1

      I didn't say John 3:13 is incorrect. You seem to suppose translators just made up the 'Lord' reading out of thin air for 1 Cor 10:9. Irenaeus cited "church of the Lord" for Acts 20:28 about 180 A.D.. Now what? The "church of the Lord" reading is correct? That would be very narrow minded thinking.

    • @globalimpactministries766
      @globalimpactministries766 7 років тому

      Under Acts 20:28, Ellicot's Commentary says, "Some of the best uncials and versions give "God;" others, of almost equal authority, give "Lord;" others, again, combine the two "Lord and God." The fact that elsewhere St. Paul invariably speaks of "the Church of God" (e.g., 1Corinthians 1:2; 2Corinthians 1:1; Galatians 1:13; 1Thessalonians 2:14, et al.), and never "the Church of the Lord," may be allowed, from one point of view, some weight as internal evidence in favour of the Received reading; while from another it may be urged that it might have tempted a transcriber to substitute a familiar for an unfamiliar phrase. Accepting that reading, the words not only confirm the great truths of the Church's creed, but give an implicit sanction to the language of theology or devotion, when it applies to the divine nature of our Lord predicates that belong strictly to the human nature which was associated with it. So Ignatius (Romans 6) spoke of "the passion of my God," and Tertullian (Ad Uxor, ii. 3) and Clement of Alexandria (Quis dives, c. 34) use the very phrase "the blood of God" which this passage suggests..."
      Under Acts 20:28, the Pulpit Commentary says, "There is, perhaps, no single passage in Scripture which has caused more controversy and evoked more difference of opinion than this. The T.R. has τοῦ Θεοῦ, but most uncials have τοῦ Κυρίου. Kuinoel asserts that the reading τοῦ Κυρίου rests on the authority, besides that of the oldest manuscripts, of the old versions, and of many el' the most ancient Fathers, and says that it is undoubtedly the true reading. Meyer, too, thinks that the external evidence for τοῦ Κυρίου is decisive, and that the internal evidence from the fact that ἐκκλησία τοῦ Κυρίου Occurs nowhere else in St. Paul's writings, is decisive also. But on the other hand, both the Codex Vaticanus (B) and the Codex Sinaitieus (א), the two oldest manuscripts, have Θεοῦ (Θυ). The Vulgate, too, and the Syriac have it; and such early Fathers as Ignatius (in his Epistle to the Ephesians) and Tertullian use the phrase, "the blood of God," which seems to have been derived from this passage. And Alford reasons powerfully in favor of Θεοῦ, dwelling upon the fact that the phrase ἐκκλησία τοῦ Θεοῦ occurs ten times in St. Paul's writings, that of ἐκκλησία τοῦ Κυρίου not once."

      You entitled your video, "10 Trinity Proof Text CORRUPTIONS" so you are essentially saying "which is in heaven" is "corrupt" in John 3:13.
      I agree with you about John 1:18 reading "only begotten son" as many early Christian writers cited John 1:18 as "only begotten son" long before "only begotten God." We Oneness believers agree that the Father alone is the only true God and that there is no timelessly begotten God the Son person.
      Even if "He was manifested in the flesh" were correct, you still have a problem because the He who partook of flesh and blood (Heb. 2:14) and the He who was "manifested in the flesh" (1 Tim. 3:16) could not have been a non-existent He Person. Since John 8:58 proves that Jesus existed "before Abraham" as the great "I AM" we know that the He who was manifested in the flesh is the God of Exodus 3:14. For Luke 1:35 and Matthew 1:20 informs us that the Holy Spirit of God came down from heaven to reproduce the Christ child "out of the Holy Spirit" ("ek" = "out of" or "out from" in Matthew 1:20). When we compare Matthew 1:20 with Hebrews 1:3 we find that the Christ child was "reproduced" or "copied" (charakter) from the Substance of Being (hypostasis) of God the Father Himself. Therefore Jesus as the child born and son given is the Substance of God the Father's Being as the image of the invisible Father.
      1 John 5:7 is an obvious Trinitarian interpolation.
      I cannot find any manuscript attestation for an alleged Trinitarian corruption in Zechariah 12:10. Even the Jewish Tanakh says, "And they shall look unto Me because they have thrust him through; And they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son." Could non-Christian Jewish scholars have really supported an alleged Trinitarian corruption?
      I do not have manuscript info to back up 2 Peter 1:1 reading "our God and Savior, Jesus Christ." However, in the early second century church “It was the Christians’ habit on a fixed day to assemble before daylight and recite by turns a form of words to Christ as God,” (Pliny the Younger wrote in a letter to Emperor Trajan about Christians).
      2 Clement opens his homily, “We must think about Christ as we think about God."
      Ignatius wrote to Polycarp, “I bid you farewell always in our God Jesus Christ."
      Therefore it is likely that the earliest church believed that "Jesus Christ" is "our God and Savior" just like most manuscripts of 2 Peter 1:1 affirm.
      Oneness theology affirms that Jesus Christ is not "God with us" as God the Father, he is Immanuel "God with us" as a true human son because the Spirit of God came down from heaven (Luke 1:35; John 6:38 - "I came down from heaven") to become a man with a human will and a fully complete human nature. Therefore only Oneness theology rightly divides the word of truth to show that God also became a true human son within the Hebrew virgin.
      In AD 125, Aristides of Athens wrote to the Emperor, "The Christians, then, trace the beginning of their religion from Jesus the Messiah; and he is named the Son of God Most High. And it is said that God came down from heaven, and from a Hebrew virgin assumed and clothed himself with flesh; and the Son of God lived in a daughter of man. This is taught in the gospel, as it is called, which a short time was preached among them; and you also if you will read therein, may perceive the power which belongs to it." Apology of Aristides II

      Paul is a ravenous wolf his writings and writings of him are very damning of him being a heretic. He was not a apostle and never met Christ. He claims that a visit from christ happened and he was the only one can hear, no two witnesses to confirm it so thats pretty shaky to be believing him.

    Wow! Augustine (AD 354-430) didn't know about 1 John 5.7? I thought this was introduced into the Latin Vulgate (AD 382). Perhaps he did not learn from the Latin Vulgate, but from a different manuscript. Curious that he wouldn't know about this newer version by Jerome, et al.

    None of the translations of Acts 20:28 (KJV, NKJV, NIV, ESV, NLT, RSV) include the phrase "The Lord which he bought with his own blood".
    I am not a Trinitarian but cannot find evidence for this claim, feel free to point me to where this verse is mis-translated,
    The phrase "The Lord" is not found in the Greek text of Acts 20:28. The Greek says "the church of God" (ἐκκλησία τοῦ Θεοῦ), not specifically "the Lord" as an individual, though Jesus is understood to be the one who purchased the church with His blood. The phrase "the Lord" would be a significant addition not found in the original Greek text, which is why none of these translations include it.

    The Trinity Delusion,
    Another thing about Zechariah that no one seems to understand is that, in the next chapter, the prophet goes on into speaking about some who would be pierced, which are false prophets. Because of the chapter divide, it's difficult to notice.
    Look at the parallels here:
    Zechariah 12:10 - "I will pour out a spirit of grace" "they will look to me about him they pierced" "they will mourn as for an only son"
    Zechariah 3:1-3 - "to cleanse sin and impurity" "then their parents will stab the one who prophesies" and their father or mother will do this to them
    So, is this their upright reaction to God saving them after there was the piercing, beginning to pierce instead the false prophets to cleanse the land; or was the cleansing the piercing, and they were looking to God about it, and mourning?

    • @jonathanjensen189
      @jonathanjensen189 7 років тому

      Also, consider the contextual reality of what's going on: someone from among the people is being killed for the mercy of God on the land, right? It is the same with Jesus, although he was not a sinner. So, it would be like the citation in Matthew about Isaiah 7 and 8, where God was going to save them, and the virgin birth is the sign that he would be God's Son; where it doesn't fit the original context except in the concept. You have the same kind of thing with David's speech in the author of Hebrews about how God forgives sin and what kind of sacrifice He wants in a person, and then applies it to Jesus who didn't sin, but who died for us instead.
      People miss these realities when they are hell-bent on trying to make Jesus to be God Himself.

      Yes, I'm aware of this. They also have this problem - Then he will say, `Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.' Awake, O sword, against MY Shepherd, and against the man who stands next to me," declares YHWH of Hosts. "Strike the Shepherd that the sheep may be scattered; And I will turn My hand against the little ones.... They will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, `They are My people,' And they will say, 'YHWH is my God.' " See Matthew 26:31. This proves Jesus is not the speaker. The Shepherd (Jesus) is Yahweh's Shepherd (the speaker's shepherd). They are caught on all sides.

    Got no facts, just simple questions. What am I and how many parts make up my identity? Am I flesh with an identifiable appearance, am I my mind, or my soul, or my spirit, or my emotions, or my thoughts, or my will, or am I merely a clump of cells brought together by chance? If the worlds most brilliant scientist dissect me, will they find my personality, my character traits, my breath, a spark of life, my conscience, subconscious, my morality, my beliefs, or the truth? Excluding the flesh, none of those things can be proven to exist by any standard known to man. And, yet, while I'm living, all of those things are uniquely my identity and my friends and family can recognize me, based on the closeness in our relationships, without me being in the room. Am I my voice? If I speak to a familiar person on the phone how will they know it's me? How is it that in my most familiar relationships we can finish each other's sentences? Am I not made in God's image? If we consider the Almighty and Eternal God in which all things have been made, can we put a limit on His power enough so that He cannot express Himself in a plurality of persons so that we might know Him through relationship? Just a clump of chewy questions that can not be understood by the minds of man.

    Interesting the *_meaning_* behind John 3.13. This was early in Christ's ministry, during his talk with Nicodemus. This implies a sequence which confounds even some Unitarians:
    Christ was the First to go up to Heaven, and afterward, he came down from Heaven to be born to Mary as the Son of God -- the "Son of man."
    This implies something which other parts of the New Testament also touche on: *_Reincarnation!_* The man born blind, the incessant questions of John the Baptist about whether or not he was one of the former prophets returned, Christ telling his disciples that Elijah (Elias) had indeed returned and they understood that he was speaking of John the Baptist.
    That Jesus was NOT God is clear. That he had been one of us, but blessed to be the First to graduate from this mortal realm, and through unconditional Love, returned to help all of us return with him to Heaven, only makes his story that much sweeter and meaningful. How can we who have sinned make it to Heaven? By following the one who had *_already done it!_*

      Did you happen to read ALL of John 3 or just verse 13? Jesus is not saying he ascended into heaven and then came back down to be born to Mary. He is God Almighty and creator of everything that was created. This is why the doctrine of the trinity is valuable to explain the Son's relationship with the Father, not with God. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all the one God but the Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is not the Father. When someone says they don't believe the trinity, what they're saying is they don't believe God's revelation to us as being one God but three persons, all three distinct from one another and all three being called God. The Bible is breathed out by God; His revelation about himself; His nature and necause someone can't wrap their head around this doctrine doesn't disprove it. It has to be revealed by the Holy Spirit. It's something that someone can be convinced of. If you're spiritual condition is adamant that the trinity is false, you'll never know the truth. God bless you.

    • @RodMartinJr
      @RodMartinJr 3 місяці тому

      @@rickdavis2235 And God bless you! Indeed. We all need blessings, and we all need *_more_* humility. If your spiritual condition is that you are *_convinced_* that you are right in your interpretation of scripture, then no amount of evidence will ever move you closer to *_Truth,_* whatever that Truth turns out to be. *_And since no one is omniscient, then we ALL will have more to learn._* This should be obvious, but some need reminding of this fact.
      Your opening question is painfully ironic. Do you actually think I accidentally found that verse and only read that one part? While it's true I've only read the entire Bible once, and many verses dozens of times, I continue to learn.
      My views on scripture keep changing, and I've been at it close to three quarters of a century. My grandfather was a Southern Baptist minister, but I left his church in 1959, never to return.
      I agree that inability to wrap your mind around something is not proof against a thesis. And thus, it is not surprising that *_you do not know me at all._* Being condescending as you have been does not make you right, also. Instead of being so arrogant, why don't you start over and try a more loving approach?
      My approach is one of sharing what I currently know, but always open to learn. But your certainty seems to bar you from such things. I know how that feels; I've been there. And what I've learned is that every time I become too certain, I stop learning. But when I give up my certainty, and ask God, "Dear Lord, what else can you teach me about these things," I receive insights which astound me. Sometimes, it takes awhile for my imperfect brain to understand, but I also ask for help in that department, too.
      Are you open to such a discussion, or are you only here to thump your own chest?

      I asked a simple question. Why would you consider it to be condescending. I am probably close to your age and I speak with people every day, like the guy that this channel belongs to, who strip verses from scripture without any context, rendering it useless. If we practice that, we can make scripture say anything we want it to. An example would be, "the Father is greater than I." That doesn't disprove the trinity. It's about the relationship between the Father and the Son, not between Jesus and God, but people use it all the time so my question is a fair question.
      Tell me what you know about the doctrine of the trinity.

      You would be incorrect if you said it like tha because the Holy Spirit is co-equal with God the Father and God the Son and is of the same essence. Yet He is also distinct from them.
      Scripture describes the Holy Spirit in personal terms, not as an impersonal force, when it says that He teaches, guides, comforts and intercedes.[1] He possesses emotions, intellect and will.[2] The Holy Spirit spoke to Philip and gave counsel to the church at Jerusalem.[3] He was sinned against and lied to.[4]
      The Scriptures also attest to the deity of the Holy Spirit. He is spoken of as God and is identified with the title of Jehovah.[5] The Christian who is indwelt by the Spirit, is indwelt by God.[6] The Holy Spirit possesses the attributes of deity, such as omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence and eternality.[7] He does works only God can do, such as creating, regenerating and sanctifying.[8] He is equally associated with the other members of the Trinity.[9]
      The work of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament differed somewhat from His work in the New Testament. The possession of the Holy Spirit by the believer was not permanent in every case.[10] The Spirit had a ministry of restraining sin and in the creation of the world.[11]
      The Holy Spirit today plays a major role in the application of salvation to the individual. It is the Spirit who brings conviction to the unbeliever and causes him to see the truth of the gospel in a clear light.[12] Those who respond to this conviction and place their faith in Jesus Christ receive eternal life and a new nature.[13] The Holy Spirit unites the believer with Christ and places him in the body of Christ, the church.[14] He also unites the believer with Christ in His death, enabling him to live victoriously over sin.[15] The Holy Spirit controls the believer who yields to God and submits himself to God's Word.[16] When these conditions are met, the believer lives in the power of the Spirit and produces the fruit of the Spirit.[17]
      The Holy Spirit indwells the believer permanently.[18] While the child of God may sin and grieve the Spirit, the Spirit will never leave the true believer.[19] Absence of the Holy Spirit is the mark of the unsaved.[20] The Holy Spirit seals the believer.[21] This ministry guarantees the security of the believer "until the day of redemption.”[22]
      The Holy Spirit sovereignly bestows spiritual gifts or abilities for service to every believer.[23] Although His restraint of evil in the world today will cease with the rapture,[24] He will continue to be present in the earth. In the tribulation period the Spirit will be involved in salvation and filling.[25] In the coming kingdom of Jesus Christ, the Spirit will be in God's people and the Spirit will be upon the King.[26]

( My Favourite one is what Count VonTishendorff discovered in 1844 when he examined the newly found 'Siniatic MSS of the NT in Greek. He looed at 1 Tim 3:16 and noted a FRESHER ink mark over the greek word for 'HE' that changed it to 'GOD' It should read; "He |(Christ) was manifest inthe flesh", Not 'God was! Your response comes-across as desperation, and as though undertones ever leads to agreements - in reflection of your own desires, you provide banter rather than productive discourse.
      That said, the fact remains that we have no good reason to conclude the titles of Lords in verses 4 and 5, are not two different beings, and as we know Jesus was not the GOD of Israel throughout the OT, as no man had ever seen GOD, let alone hear His voice - we find distinction rather than synonymity in such cases.
      Adding to this, and given the obvious corruption of said texts, the notion that such a text could ever prove reliable in justifying deviation from the established doctrine and beliefs is completely notwithstanding.

    I recently found an error in the KJV which obscures the connection between the 10 horns in the Roman empire, and the stars in the crown of Israel in Revelation 12. Daniel writing of the 10 horns writes 3 of the horns were plucked up by the roots. John, describing the dragon as the prince over the Roman empire, writes, a third of the stars were cast to the ground. Most people will read the English and think "a third" means one third. This would seem to be 4 of the stars, not 3. The ancient Greek counting system used 10 as their base number, whereas 1 is our base m=number. In the ancient Greek, everything less than 10 was less than the whole number. They counted as first, second, third. If this word was translated correctly into English, it should read 3, not a third. If three of the stars were thrown down to the ground, and three horns were plucked up by the roots by the Roman empire, then John is identifying the horns as stars in the crown of Israel. This would make it true that the 10 tribes migrated into Europe. Revelation is directed to the Hebrew people, and the message is "come out of her my people". Come out of the last kingdom, Rome, and her principality. The Trinitarian religion of lawlessness and the people of lawlessness. Though they (the 10 tribes) be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved. They are lost in the Roman Trinitarian religion and will be taken to a pit burning with Sulphur upon the return of Yeshua. Those who died in the Trinitarian religion will die a second death.

    If you're looking for the word, TRINITY, in the Bible, you won't find it but if you read the Bible, you can't miss it. This is just one incident among many.
    God told Moses that he was going to be with them.
    Exodus 23:20
    20 “Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared. 21 Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.
    This is a pretty profound thing for God to say-God’s name is in him and we don’t think his name means just a title. Obviously, his name means more than that to God. Some people say that this angel has to be God because God would never share his name with anyone other than himself. In John 17, Jesus shows up and says:
    John 17:6
    6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
    Jesus is talking to the Father and says he’s manifested God’s name-I’ve brought the name of God to these people. The angel in the Exodus 22:21 said that God’s name is in him and that would marry well with the concept of who Jesus is. It works perfectly fine with Christian theology and that’s probably the biggest case for it. It works perfectly for this Angel of the LORD to be the second person of the Trinity-to be Jesus because Jesus could talk in all the ways the Angel of the LORD talks.
    Think about it. Jesus could talk about God as though God is somehow other and he could also talk about God as he’s God. He could speak on behalf of God as though he’s God because he is but he could also speak as the Father as though he’s somehow different than him. That terminology is laid out here in the Old Testament hundreds of years before Jesus shows up. Maybe sometimes Christians don’t realize how Old Testament our faith actually is.
    In Exodus 23, we saw that God said to Moses that I am going to send an angel before you, my name is in him, be careful to listen to what he says. In Judges, chapter 2, this concept comes up again.
    Judges 2:1
    Now the Angel of the LORD went up from Gilgal to Bochim. And he said, “I brought you up from Egypt and brought you into the land that I swore to give to your fathers…
    It’s the Angel of the LORD but he claims credit for bringing them up out of Egypt. In fact, he claims credit for the one who swore and made oaths to the fathers of the people of Israel. This would be God saying this and it continues in the second part of verse 1:
    …I said, ‘I will never break my covenant with you, 2 and you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall break down their altars.’ But you have not obeyed my voice.
    Now flashback to Exodus 23:21 where God says to “pay careful attention to him and obey his voice.” It’s saying obey the angels voice then in Judges 2:2, he says, “but you have not obeyed my voice,” speaking as though he’s God yet he’s the angel.
    Judges cont.: “What is this you have done? 3 So now I say, I will not drive them out before you, but they shall become thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare to you.” 4 As soon as the Angel of the LORD spoke these words to all the people of Israel, the people lifted up their voices and wept.
    That seems to be pretty consistent-it makes a lot of sense-it makes the most sense. This is basically a prefiguring of the plurality that is in God-he’s three in one. This is the groundwork being laid in the Old Testament for the Trinity.
    Notice that the Angel of the LORD says I’m the one that made the covenant with your fathers; I made the oath, or promises, to your fathers. In Genesis 17, here’s what it says about the promise:
    Genesis 17:
    When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, 2 that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.”
    In this verse, God appears but here’s what’s interesting; they think God appears. Abraham saw something that represented God. I think it’s safe to say that by putting all these texts together in Genesis 17, Abraham must have seen the Angel of the LORD.

      @Rick Davis: What you are referring to here is the Biblical principle of Agency. Angels/Messengers were sent out in the name or with the authority of the sender which in these examples is the Father, Yahweh/Jehovah God. Jesus as the Son of God the Father, was sent as his Chief Agent or representative. Being an agent or messenger of God does not make them the Sender, God himself. You need to do some research on this and then you will understand how God’s representatives spoke as God and had to be respected or honoured as appropriate. Do the research, you owe it to yourself. 🙂

    I have found after almost 50 years as a Bible student that the King James version of the Bible is the most accurate of all the other Bibles translations . It was translated from the oldest manuscripts known at the time by scholars , and university professors that weren’t necessarily religious people . They pretty much translated the Bible word for word what was in those ancient manuscripts. Sure there is some things they may have gotten wrong but for the most part it’s correct . There’s some rules of translating Greek to English that they didn’t know back then . One is when a noun is processed by a noun then the second noun and every noun thereafter refers back to the first noun . In that case the conjunction word should be ( even ) not the word ( and ) . For instance , Matthew 28:19 says in the King James versions “ Go ye therefor , and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father , and of the Son , and of the Holy Ghost “. But if the Greek rule of translation would have been known back in the 1600s when the KJV was translated it would have read like this . Go ye therefore , and teach all nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father , ( even ) the Son , ( Even ) , the Holy Ghost “. That’s because the second , and the third noun refers back to the first noun . The word “ Name “ in that scripture is singular and not plural as it should have been ( Names ) of the Father , and of the Son , and the Holy Ghost, if it was to be more than one name . The reason for saying that is because the Bible doesn’t contradict itself . Acts 4:12 says “ Neither is there salvation in any other name , for there’s none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved “ . That name is Jesus Christ , and his name is what that scripture was referring to . “ There’s one Lord , one faith and one baptism “ , Ephesians 4:5 says . In Acts 2:36 Peter said “ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus , whom ye have crucified , both Lord and Christ “. Deuteronomy 6:4 says “ Hear , O Israel : The Lord our God is one Lord “ . So that makes Jesus Christ both Lord , Jehovah , and Christ , the anointed one at the same time . He’s both . Colossians 2:9 says “ For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily “. 20 says “ And ye are complete in him , which is the head of all principality and power “. Jesus is the all in all . In Revelation 1:8 Jesus said “ I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord , which is , and which was , and which is to come , the Almighty “ . So there you have it , Jesus is the first and last , and he’s the Lord and the Almighty . That’s the all in all . There’s not one indication there are three persons in the Godhead . The teaching and doctrine of the trinity was a man made doctrine that was made up by men they neither knew the scriptures nor the power of God . It says over three hundred times through the Bible that there is one God and then men come up with something that was never taught nor believed by the Israelites nor the early Christians church leaders . They baptized in the name of Jesus Christ only for over two hundred years until the doctrine of the trinity evolved . Gods true word does not evolve . It’s forever settled and can never be changed by any man . There were remnants of Christians that went through the dark ages and still believed in one God and his name is Jesus Christ . They continued to baptize their converts in the name of Jesus Christ only . I challenge anyone to check out the teachings of the earliest preachers and the Apostles and see what they taught . Read Acts 2:38 , where Peter preached the first salvation message on the day of Pentecost , Acts 8:16 where Philip preached salvation to Samaria , and Acts 10:34-48 where Peter preached salvation to Cornelius and his household , and Acts 19:1-6 where Paul preached salvation to the disciples of John the Baptist . This was the beginning of the Ephesian Church . Almost if not all the epistles refer back to the plan of salvation in Acts 2:38 . Hope and pray this will open some eyes to the truth of God’s word says . This little Bible only scratched the surface on the oneness of God . Have a blessed day my friends .

      You are in contradiction - Islam does not want the well-being of Christians. The trinity concept and the allah concept is the same concept - they both deny the divine birth and nature of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ is nature of GOD's own bosom. All other are brought by creation, not by birth. Jesus Christ is not created, but born by GOD - thus, He has GOD's divine nature, and inherited all things by the Father, making Him equal with the Father, and exalted to the place of the Father. Therefore, Jesus Christ is the Father because all that is of the Father is of Jesus Christ also by inheritance. And anyone that denies the Father and the Son, does not have the Father nor the Son in them. Allah is a name of the devil, and Muhammed is a prophet of the devil - as they both deny the Father and the Son; which is the devil's initial agenda. Serving Allah, is serving the devil. Serving Jesus Christ, is serving GOD - you cannot serve two masters, said Jesus, for you will end up hating one, and love the other, or be faithful to one and cheat on the other. You cheat on Jesus Christ, and thus, cheat on the Father, by following a religion that denies both the Son and the Father. Because remember, the quran says: Allah cannot have a Son. And this is true - because Allah is not GOD. Amen. But all the glory of GOD is to Jesus Christ, because He is the only true glory of the Father in heaven. Amen. There is no other name by which you can be saved. Allah doesn't save. Jesus saves. Allah gets you away from salvation. Repent and trust GOD - do not trust the devil. Amen.

    Unfortunately even among “other Adventist (dissidents off-shoots)they erroneously want to claim they believe in the “Godhead” and not the “trinity” saying the “trinity” is Catholic but the “Godhead” is the biblical truth.
    When ask to explain the “Godhead” they end up explaining the trinity.
    Confused brothers!😕

    Small timer Yes the scriptures do truly reveal God is Father, Son and Spirit. Don't call God a liar and turn to truth from your false cult.
