I have seen boatloads of these cars (Lincoln’s, Marquis, and Crown Vics) in southern Florida appreciate 10-20% per year for the last 3 years. The mileages range from 35K to 65K, absolutely mint condition, and are getting more and more attention. All I can say is- it’s about time! I’ll take these over a Camry for a fraction of the price.
Also yeah like all dealers he lowballed you. Imagine selling the car to him, next week you come back and the car is going for 12-13k easy. Same happened to Vitaly with his TC. Sold for 2.5 - dealer put it at 7 or something like that 😱
I saw that! Gotta just be patient and try to sell them yourself once the time comes to sell. You should really put some videos up of your cars! It would be awesome to see a clean, low mileage example of a 2011!
I might have the opportunity to buy a town car here soon but whole family and gf keep telling me to look for something newer but I don’t think something newer would make me any happier than a fully load town car
If you could find a good deal on one I highly recommend it. Yes it’s a used car and obviously won’t have a warranty but if taken care of they could give you plenty of trouble free miles. Plus, having a car payment is a trap!
Same here! I have 2 2011 black TC and when I had one of them serviced with 31,000 miles (the other had 41k) the service manager was like how much I want it - sorry I ll prob never ever sell 😂
Those must be some beautiful cars you have! Yeah I knew what I was getting myself into before even starting this video.. Just goes to show you that private party or BaT is always the better option
Ive commented on a few of your vids and when i recently traded mine in (little bit newer as an 08 but with 30k more miles and also in great condition) i got 9.2k, this was trade when buying a newer vehicle from the same place. Ive said before but private party this is easily a 10-11k vehicle and it almost certainly wont lose much if any value unless you add 60k+ miles to it.
Nick you got a great deal don't ever sell it. I brought a Mercury Grand Marquis the leather seats 2005 for 13000 a little too much but i wanted one that looks and drives nice
For Sure, the dealer did not jump up and down seeing the 1. condition; 2. low miles. Calmly walked over to check internet, "$4,000-$5,000. Dealer would certainly put on lot $$double$$ or more!
I knew you were going to Ogden Lincoln soon as I saw you cross I-294 and entered Hinsdale. You're in my neck of the woods and thats the dealer I go to/use. Have been going there since 2009. I assume you stay near me.
@@GetThisNick for sure. Thats a bad ass Lincoln Town car. Never looked at em like that until recently. Yours in that Pearl White tho is 🔥. I'm looking for someone who knows how to work on older cars. I don't take the 72 there. If you know of someone let me know.
@@Chitwn81 I’ll keep it in mind. I’ve also heard that some dealerships will literally refuse to work on older cars like that just because they know their mechanics may not be that confident on doing stuff on those cars just based off of how different they are mechanically.. Not sure if that Lincoln on Ogden is the same way but it’s definitely an issue with some places
Look at it this way: Where can you buy an essentially a "new" car that, with regular, basic maintenance will easily last 200,000 miles for $10k or less? Answer: maybe a Toyota that already has upwards of 100k miles on the clock; but the Panther platform is easily the best buy in today's market. I just bought a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis with 38k on the clock for $8.000. A lot of peeps will say I paid too much, but when you realize what new cars cost, the Grand Marquis starts to look like the deal of the decade.
@@GetThisNick Thank you my friend. I was a cop for 20 years, retired in 2012, and I was our fleet maintenance officer which means I had to schedule all the services and repairs for the entire fleet of over 120 officers and their Crown Vic, and keep all the records available, so as you can guess, by driving them every day, and working with our maintenance shop I got to know theses cars very well. By the time we retired the Vics and sent them to auction, they had at of over 200,000 hard parol miles on them. Great cars we will never see produced again! Get ‘‘em while you can.
You gotta nice Towncar with super low miles. There gonna give you $5000.00 for it and sell it to someone for $10,000 to $15,000 to someone. And if think about it, where can you buy anything with 36,000 miles on it for $15,000. I would keep it, drive it, take care of it, and enjoy it for a few years then give someone else a good deal
I will give you $13,500, plus give you my Town car 2004, same color and the interior is clean with hwy mile of 287,000, FL car, it's worth $3300 to $36k it's never seen winter, but right now it's in Wis at my cabin, I'm in FL

I just purchased a 2010 town car continental package with 29,825 miles on it! It’s cherry 🍒! I love it, it’s my second TC

$8k beats the average cost of a new car ($40,000) any day of the week! Great purchase brother
