It really sells itself, from the natural stone granular coating that catches the calcium and other minerals in rain water so that the water that falls off the roof is in most cases cleaner than your drinking water, the 7 layer design ensures there is never oxidation or rust given proper cuts and installation, battens give the roof constant ventilation allowing for the hot air to escape much more efficiently, the battens also give a space between the decking keeping the heat off the first line of defense against the heat. Not to mention the hail and wind resistance and overall curb appeal. The installation includes bends along walls and penetrations as well as hips and ridge, 3 inches along walls and an inch and a half along the hip and ridge. This insures that water can not penetrate the roofing system even without caulk. The caulking of the z bar is strictly to keep runoff from the walls from getting behind the z bar that covers the bends. Valleys are bent down 3/4 of an inch over the valley pan that is prefabricated with what’s called a cover lip. Allowing the water from the roof to enter the valley pan but not allow build up or overflow to get behind the panels. This system is one of the best metal roofing systems on the market, second only to country manor shake.
