- Thank you for watching! This time, I made a Japanese recipe called nikogori (jellied broth) for my cats. Nikogori is often made with the natural jellies from fish bones (sea bream, flounder, eel, etc) or chicken wings. It's often flavored with soy sauce but you can be creative and add anything to make it to your taste. If you want to make a meal for your cats, please do research on which ingredients are okay to use. Also, make sure not to feed too much nor too often since it’s difficult to make a meal that are nutritious enough for cats.

The kitties with the bells is too wholesome They are so well behaved. It totally cracks me up how Jun shows the ingredients to his cats first as if to seek their approval. His kitties must have discerning tastes & high standards😁
Jun is an amazing cook & person. He loves his furry family so much. I’m so happy for these kitties because they have such a loving home. Cats & dogs are absolute gifts to humanity. They enrich our lives with so much love, laughter & pure joy. They make us happier & better - that’s priceless. They are getting spoiled rotten☺️ but that’s just fine. Cats & dogs repay us with endless love & loyalty. It’s actually a one sided relationship as we get so much more from them.😀
I love how in the beginning only Haku and Nagi were in the cooking videos, but Poki became such a good boy, he now watches everything quiet until it's time to eat 🥺 I hope some day we get to see Pichi in one of those benches ❤

the kitties ringing the little bells has given me the daily dose of serotonin I need today. This looked amazing almost enough to just eat myself. Also what I learned today is that Poki is a very polite diner seeing as he went for the amazing chef's cooking before doing the typical opportunistic cat thing of just eating both plates of food cause they were there 😅and that Nagi has to have his cut up in little bites to be enticed to eat it which is adorable, Also that Nagi is somehow less patient than Poki (unexpectedly) cause he was REALLY going for swiping that piece of raw chicken

My cats birthday is this summer, saving this to make them a special treat! One of them screams like Poki and loves food just as much so I'm sure she'll love it. Thanks for another incredible video!!

Your editing is stellar, the music choice was perfect, and it's just so lovely getting to see you work in this space you've created for yourself: the fish tank with the herbs you can use for your cooking, the adorable seating arrangement for the cats to get to watch... it's all absolutely wonderful. 10/10 video.
Poki is clearly a man of refined taste. But honestly I love this. It was so fun to watch the process and see how they reacted to finally get to try some. Also I couldn't help but giggle at Nagi trying to get his paw on some of the food early.
A lot of cats won't eat things that aren't bite sized. Prob why once it was cut up, Nagi went for it. Poki's just less spoiled.
I like Nagi at first is like "I'm not sure what this is so I'll eat what I know first", and the Poki just dives face first into the meal before moving on to regular dry food and then when you took the plates goes "Wait! I haven't gotten every last tiny molecule of food and flavor off the plate!"
You are an amazingly skilled chef Jun. Kudos.
My college meals consist of instant ramen and an occasional starbucks drink so I live vicariously through Rachel's and Jun's cats

This has been commented on so much over the years, but I'm still astonished by how well-behaved Jun's cats are around food. If I tried to prep a fish directly in front of MY orange cat, I think he'd lunge. XD
I've actually recently gotten my 13 year old, extremely stubborn, cat to sit down in front of his food tray before I set down his food bowl - I never in my life would have thought that possible with him! And it took only a few weeks to make him get the gist of it 😮 But he's still going Poki speed for the bowl when it touches the tray 😂
I can cook just fine with my older cat sitting on the chair by the table. I let her smell everything and therefore taking away her need to jump on the table to investigate (because cats are the most curious beings I've ever seen). At the same time I can't even peel a potato without my younger cat trying to steal it (he has never known what's hunger and he has never had to fight for his food, it's just who he is because I got him as a kitten and he has done that as long as I've had him) so I usually give him a food puzzle for the time I prepare the ingredients because that gives him something to do and since he is very food motivated, it's the only way I could get him out of the kitchen while I cook.
I was eating sushi by my new kitten and decided to let him have a sniff. He straight up bit a giant piece off. My other two usually sniff and give a lick before realizing “ooh, food.” Not Jiji though.

My mans Poki knows gourmet food when he sees it. He dove straight for that jelly. This is absolutely astonishing Jun, like everything you do. I don't have any other words. This is just really friggen talented and cool of you to do for your cats. They are so well loved, from the way you and Rachel planned the house to be as friendly for them as possible to the way you hand cook them food like this sometimes, and go pn outings with you.
I hope Pichi and Haku got some as well! Also my 19 year old cat has been getting a lot of treats now thanks to your inspiration. Her favorite is frozen chicken broth and she gets chicken on all her meals. She seems a bit more lively now that we're feeding her better.

I don't know if I'm just imagining it because of how good this looks or whether someone is cooking fish nearby, but I started smelling fish about halfway through this video. I've never smelt fish in the few months I've lived where I am

Love how differently they started eating… Nagi started with something familiar before eating the jelly but finished both. Poki went straight for the jelly and also ate the cat food. 😹 It’s always nice to see the personalities of your cats shine 🥰
