I just ordered CLE for preschool, first and fourth grade. I’m excited to try it out next year! Also I ordered 2 of something and an answer key they emailed me to see if it was intentional and to let me know I wouldn’t need the answer key along with the teachers guide. I really appreciated that customer service!
My kids like to color the pictures in the LightUnits, too 😊. It's actually convenient because it gives me time to work with the other kid. I agree that the layout is simple and not distracting, but still pleasant.
You are such a breath of fresh air …I’m getting back to homeschooling after putting my kiddos back into public school. So a lot of trepidation and some lack of confidence going back in, but your content has been so uplifting! And I’m genuinely feeling so encouraged 🥹✨🙏🏼
I am currently using CLE for two of my boys as they get through the Kindergarten workbooks. I have considered the fact that these books are based on Mennonite background somewhat. I am a Nondenominational/Christian Believer. What are your thoughts about the theology of CLE? I dont know much about how much Mennonite Theology conflicts with what homeschool parents may or may not expect in using CLE for their kiddos. Can you give me an idea on if there is a need to review the values of CLE and how did you approach that if it was an issue? Your feedback will help me tremendously. Thanks!
I’ve been using CLE for about 10 years, and I’ve found it to be a solid and reliable curriculum, especially for the younger grades. CLE does come from a Mennonite background, so there are some aspects of the theology that reflect those beliefs. As a Christian, I’ve found that most of the content aligns well with a general Christian worldview, though there may be occasional nuances that reflect Mennonite teachings, particularly in areas of lifestyle and modesty. Personally, I haven't encountered anything in the curriculum that has caused significant concern or conflict with my beliefs. However, I do think it’s important for any homeschooling parent to review the materials to ensure they align with their own family’s values. If something does come up that doesn’t align with what I believe or want to teach my children, I use it as an opportunity to have a discussion and clarify our own beliefs. Overall, I’ve found CLE to be a great fit for our homeschooling, but I definitely recommend reviewing the content to make sure it aligns with your family’s values and beliefs.
@@PlanPrepPraythank you so much for that feedback! Your prompt answer to my question is noted and wonderfully appreciated!!❤ It does help me to feel a bit more confident about the way that I approach CLE curriculum as a whole. I personally have enjoyed seeing the results of the CLE curriculum with my children (especially my child who becomes easily distracted). Both of my boys enjoy the stories, simplicity of practice, and the relatability considering they always hear about The Lord in our home and how engaged He is with us. It is amazing to see their growth and progress with it! I am in total agreement that every family should DEFINITELY review the curriculum thoroughly before committing to its teaching in homeschooling. I have heard great things about CLE and wanted to reach out to you as someone who has had time with it. Your answer means so much! Thank you ❤
Switching from level K The good and the beautiful. It’s my first serious year homeschooling; although I have homeschooled my oldest since preschool. I now homeschool another preschooler and am really over the good and the beautiful math and English. So I switched to CLE based on several videos that make it a good fit for both myself and my child. I’ve got the LA 1 program and also learning to read 1. Should I only be doing learning to read 1? Would the LA be too rigorous? I was thinking LA would touch base on writing a bit. But I can always save it for my preschooler. We also got math 1.
They do not start LA until they reach Learning to Read (LTR) Light unit book 5. After LTR book 10, they begin reading 1. We do all of it because it complements each other very well and offers extra reinforcement of different concepts. For some children, I slow it down, so I will take 2 days to complete all 3 books. What I do is set a 20-minute timer for each book and switch. After an hour, we stop.
The plainness of the pages actually helps my flighty girl to focus and not get distracted.
My son too! He gets distracted by colorful pictures on a page and wants to make up stories and ask questions. 😂
This background and lighting is awesome ❤
Thanks! I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Thank you so much for your kind words! It means a lot to know that my content can encourage you on your homeschooling journey. You've got this!
Please make an in-depth review on math for the higher grade levels!
Thank you so much for making this video and answering my question! 😉 Very helpful!!❤
You are so welcome. Thank you for asking!
Great video! We love CLE. 😊 Next year we are doing Reading 5. If we didn’t have so much in to Math U See, we would use Math also.
Thanks for watching! We are also Math U See fans as well. Doing what works for each kiddo. Good luck with your plans for next year!
@@PlanPrepPray I really thought about doing both simultaneously but as of currently I think we’ll just stay to MUS.
