Glock 17 vs. Glock 19. Which one is better?

This video does a side by side comparison of 2 of the most common 9mm Glock Pistols. I show the size difference and weight difference in. Glock 17 and a Glock 19. The firearms used as examples in this video are as follows.

I have the 19x. It is my favorite glock. I have always said it is like a commander 1911.

If I could own only one Glock it would be the 19. If i could only own one pistol, it would be the 19! :-)

I also have Glock 45 like some others here have mentioned. But if I had to choose between these 2, I love both but choosing the G17. I’ve got to have that longer grip!

Have both a Gen 4 19 and a Gen 5 17. I prefer the Glock 19 grip over the 17 cause the hump hits my hand better place. However I cut the hump off the beaver tail grip and it feels much better for me on the 17 grip .

@douglasphillips24 fitting it to your hands is a must in any pistol. That is the beauty of the polymer frame. Modifying is simple. Thanks for sharing

I don’t understand the modifying. Once you switch out everything and keep the frame , is it a Glock still? That has always bothered me. I kept mine exactly how I bought it and it’s awesome. Walked in for a glock 22 and came out with a Glock 21 gen 3.

I feel the way you do. If I spend 600$ on a pistol I’m not changing the internals. I will add a light, a talon grip and maybe a backplate but that’s it.

Glock 19 is a big as gun I’ll own, I can’t carry it anymore just too big for carry all day but it shoots so nice

I own both, Im more accurate with my glock 17 gen 1 compare to my glock 19 gen 5. Mine is the lipsey glock 17 gen 1 remake. I love the 19 for concealment compare to my 17. Both great guns tho.

I thought the gen5 had front serations?

Get a strikes industries magwell.for the 19. They are cheap and work great. They are not a tight fit so it makes room for bigger hands

Nice gun you probably own every glock they produce. Although I do prefer the asthetics of the Beretta series. Just probaby not the 1st once as they cant be accessoried as much.
