    I just ordered this from Wal Mart online & it was on a flash deal at $108.69 from Salem Master & I bought the square trade warranty for only $22 , free shipping ... They also have it listed on Walmart for $129.99 but it shows out of stock at that price . I'm getting it on 2/12 ... Amazon sellers ( 2 of them ) I saw they wanted $129.99 & it showed delivery between Feb 20-26th the other was $159.99 with a $40 coupon & delivery would have been on 2/19 ... I also ordered a 3 pack of spare chains on Amazon , total was $27.27 so hopefully I'll be good for a long time

    Looking for to your upcoming videos and reviews of this saw. It seems like a nice saw for the money. One thing I always like to do with new 2 stroke equipment is to pull the plug and spray some fogging oil down in th cylinder before starting it for the first time. It may not he necessary, but I always feel better for doing it. I do it so those first couple pulls have a little extra lubrication between those brand new parts.

    All these Chinese clones are based on the Zenoah G5200, for when parts break. This is an older designed saw, and you must use a 25:1 oil fuel mix, not 50:1, 40:1. This is cheap Chinese metal with an older design and must use more oil mix.

      Interestingly I have a supmix version of this saw. In the manual it mentions using a 50.1 mix with a "premium oil". I'm going to run it in 50.1, I've broken it in on 25.1, worse case I ruin a $100 saw. I already planned on buying two more and making one a parts saw anyway.

    Great video sir, but I am confused about the gas to oil mix ratio. You stated 50:1, but the book says 25:1, does it matter which one?

    • @Redbeardsoutdoorchannel
      @Redbeardsoutdoorchannel  5 місяців тому +1

      The saw itself said 50:1

      This saw is a copy of a Japanese Zenoh (aka Redmax). Do not mix the fuel at 25:1. This Chinese copy is sold all over the world, but end users in places like Africa and other 3rd world countries don't have access to good modern 2 stroke oils.
      In these locations mixing regular motor oil is standard practice so a higher oil content is needed in the fuel to keep them running. Modern 2 stroke oils are almost always mixed at 40:1, 50:1 or even 100:1 for Amsoil products.
      Some of the synthetic oil containers say in the directions to only use a 50:1 ratio, despite the saw manufacturer's recommendation in the original manual. On older saws prior to maybe 1985? the ratios were higher as modern oils were not yet available and everyone used motor oil.
      To much oil in the fuel will cause you grief. Carbon deposits in the muffler and constant spark plug fouling are a pain. To much oil will also make it difficult to start and run like crap if it does?
      The engine will not burn up in most cases though in this situation? (like they do when your neighbor borrows your saw and puts straight gas in it)., just ruin your day by using 3 spark plugs and plugging the muffler 5 times in one outing.
      When that happens your firewood isn't getting cut any shorter but your patience certainly is. With all this being said, I am just some random guy on the interwebs giving you advice. Do some research and make sure I am not talking out of my a$$.
      Next, buy one of these saws and get busy destroying our ecosystem with the smoky emissions and your neighbors peace and quiet as it screams through every cut Lol. If it matters? I own 2 of these saws with 2 different names and colors on them but the internal parts are identical.
      For the cost you can't beat it. It takes a little bit of work and tweaking the controls but in the long run it's worth every penny. There are 3 different factories in China making these saws. It seems one has their act together with quality control and the other 2 allow you to play a chainsaw lottery because some are okay, some are great and some are just outright garbage.
      One more thing, they are NOT 62cc's! In every unit I measured it comes out to 59cc's. The ones claiming 40cc are only 36cc's etc. Each time a new seller makes an ad it gets bumped up a few notches because it is a way to make that saw seem better than all the others even though it is the same #*#!! saw besides the color and amount of spelling errors in the instructions.
      Just a small white lie won't hurt anything right?

    Great video..I put mine together and during the first use the pin that holds the chain break came out. Is there any way you can show me how it is held back in there? I cant get any help from the seller...

    quick question please, where you put the oil only what oil did you use?

    • @cjkersh
      @cjkersh 14 днів тому

      This is a 2 cycle saw so the oil gets mixed with the fuel as per the instructions. The other oil is bar chain oil and it goes on the smaller opening towards the blade. There are pictures on it.

    Can I use Regular gas at 87 octane w/10-15% ethanol or should I use premium 91 octane that’s ethanol free?

    • @dylano7242
      @dylano7242 Місяць тому +1

      Only ethanol free

    • @cjkersh
      @cjkersh 14 днів тому

      You can purchase fuel stabilizer with ethanol treatment in it. This has worked for me. However now we have sheets near us with 91 octane / zero ethonal so that is my go to.

      All these Chinese clones are based on the Zenoah G5200, to get better parts when do break. This is an older designed saw. So yes must use 25:1 mix oil fuel

    👎🏼@ 07:10 !!!! You had NO control over that saw, sir! PLEASE don't show this on UA-cam. Once fired up, the chain was turning so the brake wasn't applied. Please be safe. I had a family member almost die from an injury starting a saw this way. Looks to be a solid buy. Stay safe!
