My mantra is Create more, consume less. It's easy to go on default mode of consuming social media and letting our creativity atrophy and wither. Thanks for reminding us 😢

Just make something. Draw it, paint it, build it. Doesn't matter if it's good or it's not. The act of creating cracks that wall in our brains that tells us, 'You can't' and replaces it with 'Oh YES I can!' And YES. Yes you can. Believe it. Do it. Make it. It probably won't be perfect, it might not even be very good. But it will give you 10 new ideas and each of those will give you 10 more.

That's the best way to look at our world. See the good. Enjoy the beauty. Create art when you didn't think you could create that one thing. Most of all be inspired by others.

Just do it! When I don't have a plan, I swatch colors, going from one to another, and am always surprised and inspired by the results. I usually do a 10 stage transition, and it is a lot of fun. Your videos are inspiring. Thank you!

the moment i made the decision not to give up on art, i got the opportunity to work on a comic book, something that was a dream for me. this is my first drawing job. this opportunity fell into my lap as soon as i gave up trying to fill a vacancy in the public service, in an area that didn't interest me. i was feeling a lot of pressure to pursue this stable and financially profitable job, so as to no longer depend on my parents. i was hating every moment of it and felt like i was giving up what i loved doing most, so i burst into tears alone in a park. i couldn't live sad like that, so i had the courage to give up that position and insist on drawing. it was a defining moment for me. i made a commitment between myself and my love for drawing. i felt irresponsible, because i was choosing the least safe option in the eyes of others, but i knew that i would ruin taking on that responsibility. so i guess the universe heard. now my parents are seeing me on the move and are more relaxed about my ability to work in the artistic field. i also feel more confident and full of ideas. i'm renewed

This is exactly what I needed right now. A reminder of how opening to the world of creativity and nature works. I'm in the "coming home" camp, but I still feel like I am also in the "just getting started" camp at the same time. I'm 57. Now's my chance to DO instead of plan and research. There is literally a whole new life/lifestyle coming my way. It's different than any other I've experienced, and I think it is going to pave the path to opening the creativity "garden gate." Thank you so much!

Just received your newsletter about creating something crappy. I just want to tell you that I’ve been dealing with some real deep stuff and I just want to thank you for your words. They often have a bigger message and I really look forward to it. Since finding sketchbook school, I’ve been able to tap back into my creativity again. And with that, finding a piece of me that’s been missing for a long time. Thank you Danny. You really are appreciated in my little world. ❤😌

Loved the video & agree with it entirely, but I'm leaving this comment because I especially wanted to thank you for including actual subtitles. It's so very helpful, it's always a joy and a relief to find that someone takes the time to add something that helps so many people!
