Probably a relatively good condition '73 Dodge Challenger with a 440 engine 4 speed manual transmission I found on Facebook marketplace for $19K.
My group of friends and I have all these categories covered. We all get along with a few jokes thrown each other’s way. Honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. Diversity is what makes cars cool.
Just a functional street build. Suspension mods for handling, some performance mods for power, lowered to eliminate wheel gap but still able to daily. Nothing as crazy as a track build but not budget either.

I'm a huge fan of the OEM+ builds, where you get the nice bells and whistles from modding your car but also keeping the functionality. Bagged builds look really awesome too especially the jdm and euro cars 👌
You forgot street and touge builds, cars with high performance meant for the street and canyons. I’m rebuilding my suspension right now and going fbo, so that I can rip in the canyons with the boys.
@@listen7634 also Touge builds are highly likely to get crashed so best to not spend too much on it. Handling mods are always going to be significantly more cost effective than more power.
Budget/daily/street car build, Medium priced rims and tires, lowering springs 😎, spoiler and bumper lip from eBay with a k&n intake and with only the resonator left on the exhaust, Hondata flashed on 93 for a lil power to back it up 🤘
I think my ideal build is somewhere in between the Functional (from the previous video) and the Track car, but probably a lot closer to the Functional.
My Seibon carbon fiber hood on my S series is most definitely lighter than OEM, can pick mine up with my pinki...lol But I'm really surprised they still sell them...lol I'm like how do they make any money on them, mine is 1st generation S series too. I guess they have the mold and make them to order perhaps, but I'll have a replacement if I need to..lol
The Brand Loyal folks are the ones that really know the platform. The ones that you go to for advice with that specific chassis. Nothing wrong with Brand Loyalty. Makes you specialized.
Mid-priced daily drivers! On a college student's budget, but the build is flush and OEM+, absolutely loving it as my first car/project. (Both the ECU and DSG are tuned, which was insane bang-for-buck overall too)
Definitely need to add the Highway monster/roll race build. Cars with bumped up hp from flash tunes and performance mods to go quick in strait line and embarrass dear ol dad in his Scat pak on the highway with his wife riding shotgun.

Great episode! I’ve done a few of these. My first car @ 16 years old was a 💩 box integra that I drilled holes in the air box to hear the intake, anodized red autozone pedals that faded pink and a “red paint pen” accents lol🤦♂️ then i spent years on “brand loyal” avenue building 240sx drift cars for the drift sessions at our local track. Now I that i have a family and require four doors I bought a brand new STI that I meticulously detail and maintain and put high end parts on. But our track got shut down so it’s just a “functional” street car.

Yakuza, those guys wont bend their wheels, they want to look classy and still have proper cars, but when static scene was becoming popular people start to bend their wheels on VIPs too, at least mine doesnt and its very low, airsus is a thing, doesnt need to bend the wheels to go low
What’s the quality option to the Neogen? I run the Neogens so they can handle my negative camber. I hear Continental Extreme Contact Sport will be my best option. Is this true?
What about the Touge build? : Pretty much don't give AF because you're probably going to crash it anyway. Just modify based on what works with heavy bias towards handling but without sacrificing body control over bumps etc. Tyres: either dirt cheap trash or semi slicks on the road. Wheels: often close to to Oem in size or a bit wider to run wider rubber. Possibly from several different sets. Body: mismatched body panels. Stickers because the car is a joke. Feel free to add your own experiences of this type.

Type of build I'm gonna go for when I finally get my first car is a 2000's Import scene build I love how cars look from that era and wanna build my cars to look like a modernized version of the cars from that era
I'm in the " Period correctness" build crew. I came up in the early 2000's tuner days. Now I'm building a 06 MazdaSpeed 6 back to her original heyday. (Back when NOPI was a thing lol).
I'm building my Civic to be OEM+. Nothing too wild going on for now. Not gonna touch the suspension at all since it's already damn good and lowering the car on German roads and parking spots is a really bad idea. But a lot of Mugen and Spoon parts are on their way or already installed. I want my engine bay to be the best looking in at least my area while still being completely functional and performance oriented.
I believe you forgot to mention resto mod build but I think most of us Fitment Industries Subscribers know what a resto mod is. Hopefully when I save enough money I will work on my dream car ranging from doing a resto mod or building it mainly for street use that I can get to work everyday.

I suppose I would probably fit into the brand loyal crew...Between my wife, daughter, and I we have three tuned VW's currently. I have a ton of VW shirts, hats, hoodies, etc. and many of my friends also drive VW. I have stuck with the brand because they have proven to be reliable (I have had several go past 300,000 miles and one made it to over 430,000) I am comfortable enough with them that my garage looks like a VW service stockroom and many cars have been worked on, maintained, and modded at my house. I do like other cars though and have even thought a time or two of switching...I am just too comfortable knowing that I can fix just about anything on our GTI's/GLI's.
5th type of build: We do what we want because we enjoy it and don't care what some TikTok trend says is cool. Some of us still enjoy Kanjo style, 80s touge style, or anything really. We build what we want. Not what an audience wants.
I personally don’t dislike any other brands, I just prefer the look of Mazda’s over anything. I have a 2005 Mazda 3 and I’m working on getting a Miata but I wouldn’t mind having a Ford Focus or a Honda Civic, I just prefer the look and feel of Mazda’s more!

Don't know what I would fall under. My 95 Mustang GT is on Tein springs 2.5in front drop and 2.3 in rear with pro touring struts. Mini tubed with a modified trunk pan and carbon bits throughout. It's completely tore apart interior wise and stripped down exterior wise as I'm waiting to do a full respray come spring.

While anything could be run static or stance, not everything can be VIP. That's a very specific style that only fits certain cars.

I track my car, so I guess I’m in that category. But I’m sort of brand loyal I guess? But I don’t hate other brands. I love old BMW’s. I have two, and those are the only two cars I have. But I still love the rival brands cars, plus Jdm and domestics.
