I'm on my second honda build now and I learned alot from the first one that is making this one easier even with the new challenges I'm facing on the car
Taking my time has always helped me out. Also, taking advantage of my days off from my normal day to day job helps out too. Clearing the schedule and making time for a day to wrench is important for me. My car club and other friends in the hobby like to plan days off together so we can all work on our cars and share our knowledge. I am more open minded and have a little knowledge about most platforms, but Mitsubishi and Honda take the cake. Whereas some of the other buddies are only Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota heavy in knowledge. I now have expanded my horizons, I have a 96 Minty BMW Z3 and 01 Corvette C5. My other cars are 07 Eclipse SE = Basic Setup Track Car, 13 Lancer GT = Daily Project and Primary build. I am slowly acquiring the whole front clip of an EVO 10 MR, then swapping everything out, engine, SST Trans, Rear Diff and Axle, etc. of the MR and into my Lancer Sportback to make it an Evo MR Sportback - but I take pride in the GT badge, I will not advertise my car as an Evo nor will I slap on the MR badge.
Hi Alex, I wanted to put a cold air intake on my 4 cylinder. But a friend of mine said no. I have 2000 Toyota Camry LE 4 cylinder engine. I'm customizing the Camry. The Camry was given to me by my cousin it was his father's Camry. I have almost all led lights on the Camry. To me it looks awesome. I want to put 16 X 7 stock rims on the Camry with 205/55R16 tires on the Camry. I have to use stock rims because I live in a crime area. I got my first stereo system. It may not be much to others but think it's awesome. It has good sound. I do some mechanical work on my own because I don't trust the mechanics in my town. I know it's not a hot rod but it's my car and I'll do what I want with it. That's what makes me happy. That's all. Peace.

Also for steak once done grilling let it rest for at least 5 minutes so the meat can relax, good time to make a salad to go with the steak. Car note: Asked a local shop how much it would cost to turbo my 14 Mazda 6 was told it would cost $30,000. As for my build I just pay a shop yeah lazy but when installing a full air ride I will pay they extra to hopefully have it done correctly.
One more thing: it is quite usefull to actually start by buying the car and give it mainteinance, then fixing it and replacing damaged parts with OEM or universally proven parts that are made to let your car keep going as it was intended or fixing a known problem. Then start the Mods and go slow.
I'm actually about to have the first chance of my life to actually choose the cat I'm buying, and this video really helped me feel a lot more comfortable with the idea of modifying it when I buy it. I'm looking at a 2011 VW CC and loving the picture in my head of what it could look like. Looked on the website earlier for some potential rims as well!
My build has been on blocks in the backyard for about 8 months now I was supposed to be installing a downpipe and then when it was off decided I wanted to go big turbo, new exhaust manifold and custom downpipe instead.. Who knew it would take this long to get all the stuff needed to continue with my car.
I wish learning this kind of stuff was more accessible in person. I can watch videos all day but I can guarantee I won't find a single video for my car because no one's trying to modify a Sonic
Isn't is fairly close to a Spark or Cruze? I find looking for related platforms or shared engines in other models helps open up part availability, if nothing else. I actually ended up liking the Sonic, not that I ever owned one.
I just started modding my car. I just lowered it, not very much(only 30mm) but it is tasteful. It will be a sleeper once I save up enough to get a 1.8T BAM into it. I can't wait
Dude, you killed me at 6 min. My entire life in the mods world. Thanks for your video, always funny. Owner of a s4 b6 (not for everyone) and a fk8. Diversify guys, try subie too. Sti's are fun in winters.
If you was able to afford the car easily, then you could afford maintenance/mods afterwards, if its not the case, why would you buy something that drains your money, and make you broke? Its just a tip, i was 3 years late than my friends to have my license and buy a car, but they're still broke, while i got a lot of money already, because i didnt spend it when i had only enough to live.
One thing I learned and I've only done basic things mainly cosmetic Is don't worry about other opinions. I wrapped my bonnet (hood) a bright blue with the help of my grandad. Was a new experience for both of us and we had fun. I got comments saying "why not black?" why a bright colour?..... Because blacks over done and I like it. Just enjoy what you enjoy. Also I really liked a group that was dedicated to one manufacturer which is cool. However when you start looking to change your car don't limit yourself to that one manufacturer to stay in a certain group.
I'd love to see Fitment start its own episodic build series kind of like Donut Media's money pit series, but maybe focusing a bit more on the aesthetic side of things rather than performance. Not to exclude performance, that can come later of course, but we all come to this channel to gawk at the shiny builds with pretty colors.
The First thing I learned when I started modifying my project was, Chasing an electrical problem/ rewiring the car SUCKS! My passenger headlights still don't work. lol The car I am working on is a 1981 Toyota Corona.
Welp I upgraded my rotors on my new edge and checked a few off the list what's left: K member/lower control arms/bushings Axle shafts/seals (Finally) install lowering springs Maybe strip and repaint wheels One down and more money I could be spending on food
Love it Alex!!! I like how you break it down!!! Funny 🤣!!! You be having me in tears bruh, crackin' up!!!😂🤣... everything is true that you say, it's just so funny how you say it! Keep up the good work bro!!!
How do you find a mechanic to work on everything on your car? I don’t have the space or tools (or knowledge) to do a lot of things myself but I don’t want to bounce from shop to shop for different things
Advice: get all the cosmetic stuff done and make the car look cool first. That will keep you motivated when it’s time to work on the performance stuff.

I'm on my second honda build now and I learned alot from the first one that is making this one easier even with the new challenges I'm facing on the car
it’s my birthday and we got a new “so you want” today’s starting off great 😊
Happy birthday!🥳
@@mabals thank you!
Happy birthday
@@lordflufffluff appreciate it!
I'm late but hope you had a good birthday bro
Thought about that myself, I love the look of the sportback Lancer but obviously the MR is much better.
i’m 16 and i’ve really gotten into cars recently, i look forward to getting my first car and modifying it
0:11 pretty sure it’s just Italians blended up
Hi Alex, I wanted to put a cold air intake on my 4 cylinder. That's all. Peace.
That’s awesome man! Thank you for sharing your story! 🙏
“So you want a z31 300zx?”♯113
I bought wheels from you guys just to see if I wanted to modify my car. 6 months later I've spend like 5k and I have way more planned. Love you guys. Next thing on the list is some artisa elders
This is the push I needed to start my miata project
I just got a 05 Mitsubishi lancer ralliart..its going to be my first build nothing fancy it well be a everyday driver ...slowly as i dont know anything and glad to have channels like yours..
So you want a friend thats good with cars... 😢
Frfr
Also for steak once done grilling let it rest for at least 5 minutes so the meat can relax, good time to make a salad to go with the steak. Car note: Asked a local shop how much it would cost to turbo my 14 Mazda 6 was told it would cost $30,000. As for my build I just pay a shop yeah lazy but when installing a full air ride I will pay they extra to hopefully have it done correctly.
alright Alex flexing with his whole 12 dollars
not all of us can have that much bro
This guy is the linus tech tips of cars, the excitement, the high pitched voice, the hand gestures. I love it.
Relatively new to the car scene but this video was oddly comforting knowing we have all been in the same boat 😥
The slammed grand prix is bad ass
"So you want a 5th gen Chrysler town and country" cuz minivans are lit
Previa the real min van out there
@@andrewmaggart6445 yo that is ugly
Especially that last gen SE Toyota Sienna. Lol.
One more thing: it is quite usefull to actually start by buying the car and give it mainteinance, then fixing it and replacing damaged parts with OEM or universally proven parts that are made to let your car keep going as it was intended or fixing a known problem. Then start the Mods and go slow.
Would love to see “so you want to build your engine”. My engine is getting build by a shop and I didn’t expect it would be that expensive 🤣
Came for "so you want to start modifying your car" stayed for Alex's how to grill a steak tutorial😉
So you want “Lexus IS-F”
One thing I learned, sometimes you gotta spend money to save money. A lot of time and money wasted, trying to make cheaper parts work.
Its also with the preventative maintenance, people dont care about it, then cry when things go wrong at low mileages.
7:20 even then he's still rambling. They could of done the whole video in about 15 seconds.
Dude, you killed me at 6 min. My entire life in the mods world. Thanks for your video, always funny.
Owner of a s4 b6 (not for everyone) and a fk8.
Diversify guys, try subie too. Sti's are fun in winters.
I would like to start modifying my car but im broke and its currently sitting in 15 inches of snow
AYEEEEEEE, I’M NOT ALONE IN THAT LMAO 😂😅🥲😢😭 (real-time emoji depiction of how I feel after typing this)
If you was able to afford the car easily, then you could afford maintenance/mods afterwards, if its not the case, why would you buy something that drains your money, and make you broke? Its just a tip, i was 3 years late than my friends to have my license and buy a car, but they're still broke, while i got a lot of money already, because i didnt spend it when i had only enough to live.
One thing I learned and I've only done basic things mainly cosmetic
Is don't worry about other opinions. However when you start looking to change your car don't limit yourself to that one manufacturer to stay in a certain group.
can’t do scotty like that man 😂 he taught me so much
I'd love to see Fitment start its own episodic build series kind of like Donut Media's money pit series, but maybe focusing a bit more on the aesthetic side of things rather than performance. Not to exclude performance, that can come later of course, but we all come to this channel to gawk at the shiny builds with pretty colors.
I've just got parts sitting in my room I'm waiting to install...
The First thing I learned when I started modifying my project was, Chasing an electrical problem/ rewiring the car SUCKS! My passenger headlights still don't work. lol The car I am working on is a 1981 Toyota Corona.
Man F.I just don’t miss, they just donttt miss
BIG FAX🙏🏼😂
I got my prelude last week.
Welcome in the Honda gang :D
One day I’ll wake up to “so you want a 03-04 cobra” until then I’ll watch this 😎🙌🏻
Welp I upgraded my rotors on my new edge and checked a few off the list what's left:
K member/lower control arms/bushings
Axle shafts/seals
(Finally) install lowering springs
Maybe strip and repaint wheels
One down and more money I could be spending on food
You stop it. Im still trying to get my 88 supra running without buying the wheels tires and suspension i DONT need.
can u do a video on wheel fitments on GMC envoy 2006
Please do “so you want a Lexus is350”
Love this car. It’s so quick off the line for what it is
Love it Alex!!! I like how you break it down!!! Funny 🤣!!! You be having me in tears bruh, crackin' up!!!😂🤣... everything is true that you say, it's just so funny how you say it! Keep up the good work bro!!!
POV: you’re watching him create 30 different videos with the same concept: how to mod a car
Have a daily driver, don't mod it unless you like being stuck at a walmart parking lot in the bad part of town at 3am. also AAA is your friend.
nah mod it as much as you want, just do it properly and do the research first
Day 1 of asking
"So you want to be happy"
Probably my greatest quote "whats the point of life if you're not living
😂🙏🏼
How do you find a mechanic to work on everything on your car? I don’t have the space or tools (or knowledge) to do a lot of things myself but I don’t want to bounce from shop to shop for different things
Advice: get all the cosmetic stuff done and make the car look cool first. That will keep you motivated when it’s time to work on the performance stuff.
My first car mod. A K&N intake system for my 2012 VW Golf in 2016. It was the beginning of a long learning journey for sure!
Today on fitment Industries we learn how to cook a steak.
Alex is definitely my favourite on fitment industries definitely needs to do more videos like a lot more
I can barely keep up and afford basic maintenance let alone modifying my daily 😭
