One of the best mods you can do. Heidi never gets above 205 oil temperatures no matter how hard I drive her. Great choice! We also used the holes on the titanium bolts and did a cool looking safety wire design.
I'm glad you like it! That engine cover is from Turner Motorsport. You can watch the full install and review here: ua-cam.com/video/wJ7e02QKBcg/v-deo.html We also have other carbon fiber parts on the car that can be found on our website motogeargarage.com
Both are beneficial, but they do serve two different purposes. The thermostat will help to regulate your oil temperatures better and the intercooler will help to lower and maintain your IATs (intake air temperature). Price isn't far off between the two, so the choice is really up to you.
@ryan2k814 I would say make sure your maintenance is up to date, then move to aesthetics and then performance, I did an ownership review on mine walking through how I did my build and it’s a good reference tool. I plan on making a mods list video in the next few weeks as well so you can look out for that👍🏾
It's one of the best mod they did on my f80 M3. It definitely kept temperature is a lot lower
Yeah man it seems to be very effective so far from what I can tell and definitely worth upgrading for sure
Instant like from me, guys. Almost at 8k subs too! Well deserved. Now gonna watch the video.
Thank you 🤝 We always appreciate the continued support! 🙏

Nice, yeah I’m considering safety wiring mine as well
Who tf is Heidi? 😂
@@mikespeed3928 My car is named Heidi.
Looks awesome! I may get this mod for my Bimmer soon. It looks easy enough, even for a non-mechanically minded person!
Lovely. 👌 Nice install video. Just ordered mine for the S55. 👍 Can’t wait!
Awesome, it’s going to be a great addition 👍🏾
my m2 Never gets over 105 even without that mod but only in Sport Mode. but yeah pretty good mod and looks awesome
Great video, thank you! Any need to prime the engine when just replacing this part?
No after installing its ready to go. Just ensure there are no leaks after starting the car
Hey! Love your videos!
I was wondering where did you get that back brace in the grill area? The orange/red ish looking brace
Lookit Me parts !! Only the thermostat cartridge actually needs changing
Good video, I just installed it too.
Which engine cover do you have? It looks very clean and nice.

thank u very much!@@MotoGearTV
I dont see an option for 535i would this still work on mine or do i need to find a specific brand that has my car model
I don’t believe so as the setup on the F10 N55 is different. I would email Mosselman just to confirm if it would be compatible.
Moto I was wondering what carbon part is that under the top splitter
So you have to buy the gaskets separately?
Yes it’s separate
Do you need to drain out the oil or can you install it just like that?
Installs just like I did it in the video no draining necessary
What was the oil level after installing, the same ?
More or less the same, I just topped it up a little bit just to compensate for the amount that came out
I see only asking cause I’m looking into installing it Monday or Tuesday which ever day it comes in, thank you though
No problem 👍🏾
Should I do this before a intercooler?

@@MotoGearTV ah ok, I appreciate the response. I recently got my og m2 and I am wondering what mods I should do first?

@@MotoGearTV ok thanks man
You know its a future classic right. Especially with how awful the new 8 bit version is 😂 11:38
Nice! Have you did the crank seal guard engine?
No I haven’t, it’s not a common issue for these engines but it’s something I could consider in the future
