Okay so you might be joking about "everybody's favorite song" but...hearing that on boarding day is one my must-haves to start the cruise. Whole song. At least once. Must.
Oasis class ships are huge! Finding a quiet place for a live chat looks like a problem. Jay on ice skates would be priceless. Finding Dee’s around the ship is always exciting. Have fun you two.
I was just doing the math, you have gone on 48 cruises since the restart of cruising with the most recent being Norwegian Breakaway. That's more than double the amount of cruises I have gone on in the last decade! I'm so jealous of all the ships and adventures you go on. Thanks for letting us be apart of them!
They got like "snackses" and stuff. Here's what the chairs look like in the Diamond Lounge and here's what the carpet looks like... Another great vlog guys!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Good morning! Last week we booked the Oasis for the New Year, we wanted to spend the end of the year on a Cruise.we were on in 2010 and wanted to see the new Oasis
Love Oasis! Sailed on her in October 2021 out of Bayonne. One of our faves! Booked a jr suite to take advantage of their awesome double double sale they had. Just a few points away from hitting diamond. Headed to Brilliance in less than 2 weeks!!
If you use the royal Caribbean app , you can explore other cruises . So you would look at the weeks before & see what you wanted todo . Instead of waiting to see if anyone posted the schedule
@@parodeejay profile> select a different sailing > get more details on ships we support. Then just select which ship and which week & you can see the daily plan etc Works best selecting ones that are a week or two ahead of the current date, so that the planner is out Hope this helps
Dimond cookies!! Now we’re talking! Gangway on forklift😂😂. Goodness all that food look amazing! Welcome to the diamond club guys!! Can’t wait for the next episode!
SO excited for this series! I am sailing on the allure of the seas on the 13th of march and was hoping you would post it before I leave. can't wait for all of the oasis-class goodness
Thanks for showing me this big fat ship, Dee & Jay. I remember the pair of driving big bears with masks when Brandon of the Weekend Cruiser showed its promenade. I booked but had to cancel her in ‘10. I finally made it to Bermuda and the Bahamas in ‘19 but on the smaller Grandeur in ‘19. June of London, UK
At the end of your day, if you have any drink vouchers left, you can go to one of the bars and get cans of water or soda of your choice for your room. Nice option to having to buy a package for them. Great first day!
Oh no, "Wash Your Hands". I'm going to have that in my head for the day, like I do on embarkation Day. :) I love Oasis class; I have not been on Oasis itself- very cool to see it! I loved the preview of the Diamond perks; we're not quite there yet! Two more cruises should do it. I will have to let my husband that there is a potential pigs in blanket supply in the Diamond Lounge, he'll be very excited. Looking forward to the next vlogs, especially seeing Coco Cay next!
I noticed that the bathroom does not have shelves beside the mirror. I really like that on the Carnival ships (except on Mardi gras where there is only 1 side of mirrors). As for the rest .... I'm so happy for you reaching a diamond level, however, for the rest of us ..... is that "key lime pie" offered to all levels. Just asking, because my husband may just want to book just to get to that pie.
@@parodeejay The Lincoln Road promenade between Washington Avenue and Alton Road is the true heart of South Beach. Ocean Drive is the tourist armpit of South Beach and absolutely avoid the bars, restaurants, and shops around there and go to the Lincoln Road promenade instead which is right above 16th Street. And if you ever need to book a hotel room last-minute, save a lot with the HotelTonight ap which you can book until 2AM for that night!
We thought at first that we had to ask each time we wanted a "diamond drink" but by the end of the cruise, we learned that we just order normally and they can see that you have unused diamond drinks on your card. I guess you would let them know if you *didn't* want to use a diamond drink, like for a beer or something less expensive, if you wanted to save it for a cocktail, etc.
How do you get the key package? I checked the Royal site and can’t find a way to buy it the links don’t work. I am booked on Royal 7 day oasis end of Sept
It should be under your Cruise Planner in the same area you would buy internet and other add-ons. I guess it’s possible that it’s sold out for a particular sailing, but it can’t hurt to keep checking as the date gets closer.
Thank goodness! I was starting to go through ParoDeeJay withdrawal! Congratulations on making Diamond....that is my goal, but we have a ways to go. We just turned Platinum and with the double points they were offering we will be Emerald by our cruise in November.
We took a week off from posting so we could enjoy that first experience in the Mexican Riviera, yep! We didn’t feel like jamming up in our cabin missing most of the fun and working the whole cruise. We’re back now with Oasis vlogs, then Navigator vlogs will follow shortly after!!
@@parodeejay I hope you had a great cruise. It’s about time you guys took some time away from posting . My first cruise was actually the fair princess out of LA doing the classic love boat route you guys just did. First cruise, first time really leaving the U.S ( except Canada ) . I was on a travel agent fam trip with about 15 other folks because I was a cruise only travel agent who’d never been on a cruise. None of any of the “activities” hooked me. What hooked me & the high I’ve been chasing now for over 30 years is one night while everyone was dancing in the club, I went up to the top deck, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and I saw for the one and only time in my life the full Milky Way galaxy on a clear night & it was a transcendent moment. I was in that magic world being at sea between places and I saw those stars & it’s what I imagine heroine addicts talk about when they talk about that first high that they’ve been chasing their entire lives since it happened. That’s been the literally hundreds of cruises I’ve been on since then. I’ve had wonderfully amazing trips, but I’ve never felt the same awe that I felt on that first cruise on that night on the top deck , but it doesn’t stop me from trying.
The worst part of getting on the ship is planning and booking what events you want to do for the week who knows what day you want to do what? Sorry being on vacation shouldn't involve planning on what you want to do on YOUR VACATION and making reservations on a ship. Before someone says you plan excursions, yes that is true that process is different as you know what port of call is and what day and what you want to do for that port. I wish they would just forget these ship reservation bookings and do a first come first serve
Technically, they only restrict cameras in the area where the security and x-ray machines area, but we usually avoid the whole thing just to be safe!! :P

We don't really have any interest in it right now, since we've sailed three out of the four Oasis class ships recently. We're starting to feel like smaller ships may be in our future, ha ha... but I'm sure we'll eventually sail Wonder. Just not anytime in the immediate future!! :P
That is one of the smallest balconies I have ever seen. That looks like a small cabin for 2 people. I think I would have to go outside to change my mind.
