- In this video we'll chase crappie in the middle of July on one of the hottest days of the year. Ill give you some tips on finding and catching summer crappie. Hope you enjoy!

In 1970 my father and I would go to Santee Cooper S.C. And catch 250 crappie in a weekend and 1 out of 15 fish would be over 3 lbs. and as big as 4 lbs. using minnows , cigarette butts and chocolate candy bars . We fished out of a 14 ft. V hull with a 20 hop. Motor fishing around logs sticking up out of the water . Thanks for the great video .
Crappies do not grow to 3 lbs. Your full of bullshit.

Man, you are messing with me. I just put my boat up in the barn to wait for October. Crappie were slow for me, the heat, and work/kids activities are about to crank up. Now you've got me rethinking what to do with my last vacation day of the summer. Wife won't be happy. 😂
FYI running multiple color palettes on downscan only works on Lowrance units. Does not work on Humminbird Solix. Bummer…. Welcome back excellent vid.
