I'm so glad I found your channel!! I am currently reading Bell Jar, and I also read half of the books you talked about in this video. Excited to read “Talking at Night” ✨
I listened to Normal People, then Conversations with Friends, and now I’m halfway through Beautiful World, Where Are You on Libby and it’s a 5/5 I can’t imagine it dropping off. I absolutely love Sally Rooney’s writing and I want to purchase the physical book to reread later. I just recently started following you and love your content! I didn’t know the what the genre of literary fiction was and I’m so excited to keep seeing what you recommend. I am adding Talking at Night to my tbr because I’ve been trying to get into romance but, you described it perfectly, they’re falling flat for me and I need more depth. I love the long form content keep it up!! 🫶🩷
thank you for these recs!! i've been trying to get back into reading as an adult after losing it as a hobby when school picked up but this summer is the one!! i renewed my library card recently (super pumped) and have read two novels since that i LOVED but this gave me some more direction! such a cute and helpful video :)
@@graceb414 best compliment ever wow wow I’m so happy you enjoyed - I appreciate you!! Do you have a StoryGraph or goodreads? Would love to follow you and watch your reading journey!
Another good rec: the stranger in the life book by Mitch albom, it’s 271 pages and very focused on how you view the world (the he blurb on the back for whoever wants it:” what would happen if we cried out to god for help and someone claiming to be god actually appeared before us? In Mitch albums profound novel, a group of shipwrecked passengers must face that challenge when a strange man they pull from the water says he can save them all, but only if they believe in him.”
I’ve only started following you on UA-cam and instagram in the last couple of days, and I am OBSESSED! I love your content so so much I honestly cannot get enough :DD
The marxism😭 it feels so american to be able to say i have marxist views, My parent are from the soviet union so the color red is forbidden in our house because of the connection to communism--- But its interesting to see how living in a different country with different history, colture, politics and values can make such a difference in how we view the same idea
@shireads2954 I actually was talking about the creator when I said American but you're right I shouldn't assume I'm not sure the creator is american but the sentence just has an american feeling lol
