Today I tried Counter Strike 2 for the first time. I had a couple hours playing custom games with some friends in CS:GO, but I was never really into it. So, this was my first actual experience on Counter Strike.

I don't know if you remember what Hiko said years ago when Reyna was released... he said that at some point they would have to introduce an agent with a shield like in Overwatch, and Riot responded with a 'no,' stating that they had a clear vision of where their game was headed. In the end, they've just announced an agent with a forward-moving shield... Riot is the bane of games, hahaha
Valorant is going towards the "hero shooter" genre lmao. To keep players' interest they will no doubt have to keep releasing new agents, maps, contents,...

as a cs player i have actually tried valorant, i just couldn't get used to how negative the valorant community was, it's been years since i've surrendered a game on cs, but it felt like every 3 games i had a teammate trying to forfeit, it was exhausting to deal with.
Same, Had way more toxic players on Valo, and also the game feels worse somehow, Even though I get better FPS and the servers are 128t. I do still play it with friends every once in a while
let's be honest both games have toxic communities i will agree though valo players want to give up quicker

Played both, valorant is fun but my god its unenjoyable when it gets serious. CS is where its at for high level play.

edit to say, yes ive tried valorant, my friends are actually invested in it they play diamond/ascendant, and still i prefer csgo but its because i also play overwatch, the two for me at least dont mix, and i dont like dealing with overwatch like abilitys in a game that feels so much like counter but clunkier..

One of the problem with Valve games is that the default settings are really horrible. For some reasons some of the most useful stuff isn't enabled by default ( not switching to the gun when u pick it up or show player numbers instead of avatars) and you will need to dig around for a bit. The same thing with fps optimization
who uses auto weapon switch on pickup lol
@@scambaitspidey3470 Isn't it the opposite too? The default is that it switches the gun automatically and everyone turns it off after you accidentally pick up a gun and die while its switching lol
@@TunaIRL OP clearly didn't play game long enough and is in no position to say Valve has problems in the games they create. Switch to weapon on pickup means you are an absolute scrub that is too lazy to tap 1 when you pickup a rifle, there is no delay if you play longer than one hour and time it correctly.
Most CS players, including myself, have tried Valorant, but we don't like it. Personally, I feel that it's a game in which "counter-ability" is the only thing that gives it depth because the abilities make it easier to break a site, easier to play post-plants and retakes. Valorant is a more simplified game, it's nice and fun, but it doesn't appeal to me.
Abilities is what ruins it for me, I know that's the main difference between cs and valo but still!

ascendant 2 with 200ish wins, 12k elo cs2 player. actually valorant is kinda fun, its just sad that the cringe and/or toxic community is ruining it. i know that these people mostly exist on low ranks, which is around 70% (cmiiw) of the playerbase
the community is definitely what stops a lot of people from trying out valorant, luckily theyre mostly in low elo

as a CS player that tried valorant and got to im2, I hate it
frist game ever in cs2 and enjoyng both the game and the hobby (it's not an adiction, i can stop whenever i want) NICE
me who already played valorant for 6 months then tried CS again because i like these 2, counter strike and valorant does get a high rating in my opinion tbh.
I tried Valo in beta and last year. I don't like the different agents and the fact that the abilities have such a big influence, the ults are also nonsense to me.

i played valorant and got immortal in my first season playing but then quit cause i like cs way more and it doesnt make me as mad as valorant does
Valorant should feel like home in cs2 while aiming but smokes and flashes will hinder their game.

Lol already tried val until immortal. Felt too ez coz strafing feels much easier (read : slower) and I sell my acc to go to CSGO (and buy skins) again.

Tried valorant and after a week i never ever played it again.
Reverting back to cs 1.6
i played valo in the beta and i even got immortal, but i just cant enjoy it. the artstyle is a major turn off for me. also with the many agents it has now it just feels annyoing to play against the most abalities and i cant take the game seriously. it also feel a bit weird because the movement speed in valorant is so slow
as a cs player for me what is ruining valorant experience is the ranks. really. i literally have like 1.5kda and peaked at platinum 1 in 100 hours, because i have 49% win rate. you would probably say skill issue, but im not sure. game is treating me like a smurf, right now i have gold 3, but i'm playing with plats3, diamonds1 and i don't feel like i can't compete i just feel fine, like i belong there, but i will never achieve it, because i'm losing 6 games in a row with mvps, so that's it for me, probably if i was better i could do 40 kills instead of 24/30 and i would win more, but is it really the only way?
well as cs player i did played valorant for like 3 years when i enjoyed it and i was like *eh its not bad game* intill the moment valorant becomes a boring game now cuz it has no map selection no votekick option no replay demo when you win or lose match and no TK damage *Well specialy using like moly and grenade to team kill* and also worst state is smurf content and e daters around valorant which is the reason why i switch back too CSGO when its replaced to CS2 and added that new feature of refunding your gun and gives you money back when it was not in CSGO but idk why Valve is trying to copy valorant by removing bots for replacing disconnected players on comp and nerfing awp to have 5 magazines instead of 10 and the ping option for players who don't have mics they can ping if there is a enemy or not.

i Tried. 1 Game. i won't say i Hate it But it definitely wasn't to my Taste. I Had to Uninstall because every time to launch the game i had to restart the computer to play the game. Once had to restart twice. No idea what was wrong. Uninstall solved it.

I tried it and I hated it. when first info about Valorant came out I guessed that it will be the game like CS:GO (Im also not fan of csgo) but simpler better and different, but no. It is freaking League of Legends in "CS" FPS format to please player bases of Overwatch or Fortnite. Also I tried League of Legends for few months in 2009/2010 but when I find out that it is copycat of W3 DotA, which I didnt even know, I been playing CS1.6 at internet cafe in 2004/2005 and I didnt know the guys next to me play DotA, what is DotA I thought its a warcraft strategy. so I simply uninstalled league of legends and waited almost 2 years for Dota 2 to come out.

Anyway, CS2 still not playeble for me too. I mean, you can play whatever you want like casual and call it competitive, because there is everything about rank matchmaking nowadays I guess. But sadly very little to do with "esports" as I knew it.
If you're going to say Riot stole everything then you may as well say every FPS or MOBA has been stolen. Although I do agree, Riot is absolute garbage - HoN & DOTA>LoL and CS>Valorant
