Hello, I am little hesitant about enrolling in scaler. How did you make your mind, and now that you are there do you feel that there's gonna be good future ahead in terms of career?
I went for SST majorly due to 3 reasons :
1. Brand Value and Network strength of Scaler, which is indeed true !
2. Instructors here are literally the best , in experience, in teaching and in dealing with students.
3. Bangalore, this place is just a perfect fit for CS, every weekend and a random place at Bangalore there's always a hackathon happening
And yeah as of now, we are getting various internship opportunities and also got enough exposure to know what to learn forward in future.

The problem is with the degree they provide , My father is a computer science engineer too but he thinks a bsc degree cannot be compared to a btech degree.

The problem here is sst doesn't provide btech
Instead it gives bsc degree.
That's true , but until now what I have observed is , degree is the last thing which a recruiter will see , and majority of times it doesn't even matter .
Although, if your future plans are going for careers other then CS then in that case , you need to first cross check , if BSc would work or not.
But at majority of places, they just ask for proof of 4 year formal education, and that could be shown through BSc+MSc , given here.
Last point , every engineer has a BTech degree but more than 80% are unemployed, hence skills and work matter more than degree.

What is more preferable skill or a degree from a well known institute
If you r talking about just "Degree" , then definitely Skill > Degree , 'cause what actually matters in the market is , if you are able to make the work done , that's it. Degree , College, Age , Gender se fark nahi pdta .
But , since being in a well known institute also gives you a platform, so if you are focusing more on skills rather then just degree then you must Learn in Public i.e. keep presenting your work and learnings on Social Media and use it as your platform.

So mam, if your son is really interested in CS and new age tech then SST could be the best place.
As per my experience of last 10 months, I would mention some pros and cons, going through which you can take the call .
Pros:
1. Instructors are literally gems
2. Mentors and supermentors
3. Curriculum
4. Network and Brand value of Scaler is really amazing
5. Like minded peer group
6. Bangalore is just a heaven of opportunities in CS
Cons:
1. Campus not that huge compared to 100 acres colleges
2. Hostle food is ok ok (similar to other colleges)
3. Fees could be said on higher side
4. For some people, degree could be a concern like BSc instead of BTech ,
but as far as I got to know till now , it literally doesn't matter in maximum cases .

How to prepare for the NSET exam
For NSET
1. Go through the syllabus on website
2. Attempt mock
3. Practice the topics from the syllabus using lectures on official yt channel and for maths you can also refer jee mains pyqs.
For interviews :
1. Be honest and confident.
2. Show problem solving skills and logical thinking by solving questions there and also speaking out the approach and steps.
Level of maths in exam is similar to jee , and since it is also a competitive exam , hence prep tips goes the same with it too.

How do u guys prepare for BITS semester exams? What was your score in first semester?
So majorly the BITS syllabus is a subset of SST curriculum hence need not to prepare separately.
But yeah for some outliers, separate classes are taken by instructors here.

The reasons you were saying, I suppose they were not limited to Scaler School. Kisi bhi college me chale jao sab yehi bolenge. Sirf Scaler School ko highlight karne ka koi meaning nhi hai.

I respect your view , but to get admission here , you maths must be strong enough to crack the exam.
So keep practicing maths upto jee level .
I would also suggest to, study all three subjects and prepare well for JEE , since seats are very limited here , so it should not be the condition with you like, you haven't got any good college.
