Your friend did a great job at being mindful of his surroundings. Very smart man to always be cautious of both gators
Welcome Matt! Great to have you aboard. It's always wise to have a spotter when working with big critters.
Welcome to the channel Matt. Thanks for recording so we can learn about animals!
Fabulous bridges!
Hi Matt and thanks for spotting Kenan.
I'd like to see the ends of both bridges secured to the ground.
I don't want them to be able to be flipped.
So anchor them into the ground please.
I think once that's done, overall you'll be a bit safer in Fred's Lagoon!
Love when the gators show their smarts by "helping" with a project. Matt did an excellent job of not getting eaten or hurting himself on a cypress knee.
Loving Matt! Awesome addition to the Kamp Kenan team.
For someone who is new to that experience, I got to say Matt has balls of steel. Fair play to the both of you. Great job!
This guy is a natural!!! It’s awesome seeing you explain to him to be natural and be yourself. Matt, keep being a badass!!!! Would love to see you two doing some mountain biking vids together!
Hey Kenan,
A few weeks ago when you were feeding Snaggletooth and Dale I had the thought that you should build a feeding dock at one end of the pond. Probably the best place to stabilize a feeding dock would be on the sunny side of the pond, the area with the clearing and the water is always exposed to the sun, literally using the rocks as a place to anchor the vertical supports for the feeding dock. You could have a walk way similar to the bridges you just built in this video that start just inside the door closest to Slinky's end of Fred's Lagoon, and run the walkway along the fence line on the inside of the enclosure of course, and the walk way would connect to the feeding dock which would be raised higher up then the walkway, taking away the likelihood that Snaggletooth wouldn't jump up onto the feeding dock. For added safety you could put a heavy duty railing on the dock and use chain link fencing to prevent the gators from bombing onto the feeding dock.
I know the logistics of doing this would be difficult, but you could build the walkway and feeding dock in sections that essentially lock together and then are carriage bolted together and fastened to the upright posts that could be both on land as well as in water.
Snaggletooth and Dale could freely swim underneath the Feeding Dock as well as use it for shade at the sunny end of the Lagoon.
I would put the Feeding Dock above Ground level just for the added height off of the waters surface. I hope this idea is good and would be helpful in many ways in taking care of the gators while keeping everyone that goes inside the lagoon safe.
Keep Safe and Always Inspiring,
Matt - Toronto, Canada
Thank you Matt for helping kenan, it would have been more dangerous if he was by himself. So thank you so much for helping and being brave on your first day!
Job good done. Matt is very practical... he sees it more then you. But at the other hand he is relying on you to keep him save. And good filming. He is a nice guy. I hope he is sticking around for some time... even longer then some... I love it that he is so calm. The most problem that I have with people of the USA, that they are so loud. That's why I love watching your videos, in comparison wit gatorland and Bryan. You are seldom screaming and yelling. And Matt is the same. And that feels so good. The quietness and the soft talking. We aren't use to that. In fact we find people of Holland loud... and they are quiet in comparison with... I love watching all this people's videos, buy sometimes I mute the sound... 😂... you came to Belgium. You know gmhow we like. And as I am even from a small town, things are even more quietly and people too.
Shaggy and Dale were doing good. After all they use to humans, and you are quiet and calm people. They feel comfortable in your neighborhood. Ofcourse you always have to watch them, they stay wild animals, but they are well fed and wel mannered. The bridges are wonderful. It took you a long time. I was finding these small pieces of wood that you called a bridge very dangerous. But hey, now you have hood bridges and it is more comfortable to do things in their enclosure. I bed Kate will be approve this too. Although when she will watch the video it could be she is raising her voice a bit... I think you didn't tell het what you were doing today... 😂😂😂
This for letting us in in this adventure. I wasn't scared for a minute. You both did well... big hugs from Belgium 🇧🇪 😘
Finally!!! Always had mini heart attacks when you crossed that 4x4. Thank you Matt and welcome!
That was incredible. I also enjoy watching you either interact at fred lagoon and when youre fixing/adding things around it. Very entertaining. Dangerous and sketchy but very fun to watch. Glad to see yall were thinking safe and completed the task. Fred's lagoon looks so naturally beautiful. Love the high water and love seeing snaggy tooth roam around thru the water
Wow that was a rush and I’m so glad you got that done. Big welcome Matt🐊🐊
Well done guys n a warm welcome to Matt. So happy for having more bridge and less soggy plank in the lagoon, walking the plank over crocodile infested waters was a bit much.
FINALLY! I can breathe more easily now when you go into Fred's Lagoon.
Hey Kennan love the videos your always so busy but you seem so happy to do everything you do for animals keep up the positive attitude it inspires other people
Awesome job guys! Looks great & much better access. Thanks & Welcome Matt!
Great job Matt! It´s awesome to have someone holding the camera for Kenan. It´s been a while since we´ve seen that. He does it well by himself, but it is a nice change.
Nice job guys. Think about getting some rails for safety and go pro mounts to capture some awesome Timelapse vids
Matt did great helping you and being aware of his surroundings and where the gators was at, all the time, welcome to the channel Matt
This mans work never ends! .. There's no days off being a full time Dad to his humans, his reptiles, his canine, and a husband and that's not even half of what he does. Keep up the great work my friend. I learn a lot watching your content.
Well, minus the canine for now. Lobo had to be rehomed because he bit Sophie's face.
@@FoxyFoxyShazam Ohhh no way, I had no idea that happened! .. He seemed like he was an awesome dog but I guess you can't be too sure when it comes to these animals. I hope she gets better real soon. 🙏🏻
@@johnnylandon146 do you not watch? There was an entire video on how Lobo bit Sophia and Kenan’s sister so he went away.
@@bhutch216 Of course I watch, do you? .. If so then you'd understand this man posts videos quite often so with someone also very busy like myself it's hard to keep up with every single video so with that being said no need to jump on the post with your rude comment.
"He is stalking me right now because he wants more food". Seems more like he is stalking you because he SEES more food :) Love the videos, great that you guys have the guts to film stuff like this. Helps people appreciate the, while still scary, absolute beauty these animals are!
Great job! Snaggletooth & Dale we’re very well behaved with you both!
The bridges look great . The gators will be sunbathing on them in no time. Lol welcome Matt. Thank you for helping Kenan makeanother awesome video.!
Great bridges! Better to build bridges ... especially with a friend that gets it. Good team work with Matt. 🐊🐊
You and Matt seem to work really well together. You guys make a mean Gator bridge!!
The bridges ROCK OUT LOUD!!! Matt’s the best 👍🏼
Love Matt's general nervousness 🙄😆😵💫🌲🌳🐊🐊🐊
Welcome and well done, Matt! I sitting here trying to suggest the winch for the 2nd bridge (to myself 🤣) and then started sing Red Hot Chili Peppers when you first said "is he under the bridge?" Great minds think alike haha
"Take me the place I loooooove" 😏👍
Beautiful bridges! Welcome Matt! Well behaved gators today!
Nicely done, now you may actually not become Snaggy or Dale chow, Kenan😲😝 Just teasing, glad you got the bridges done, will make for much better videos for sure.👍🤟🐊💚
Liking the RHCP reference 🤘🏼 Welcome to Matt, nothing like being thrown in the deep end.
I love when you said, "This is real life." Great progress, mindful helper!
Love it looked like fun. I’d have to check my pulse after I got outta there my heart would be beating 90 million plus I bet lol. You guys did good . Luv ya!!!
That's like a real-life grown-up game of "The Floor is Lava"! Beautiful work!
Hey Kenan! Nice content! What about a wooden feeding platform? Something that hangs in the water with railings where you can safely feed you gators from.
Perfect having Matt to help you out 🙌🏻 especially if he builds or knows how bike/skate ramps, you know they will stand the test of time and Floridian weather. You could tell snaggletooth was following your voice as you said waiting for you to make a mistake. I can already tell you that I’m expecting Kate to ask you to fit some kind of walkway sides and hand rails to keep you safer 😉Thank you Matt for keeping Kenan Safe 🤗🐊🤗
Thank the good Lord!! And thank you Matt! Kennan needed this! Kennan saying shit was funnily sweet.
Great job you both got a set of Steel balls very courageous of your friend
So glad to see you get something better than the little balance beams you were using.
Next time you may have to float in the bridges.
Should’ve topped up the crocs with several big chickens.
Love the channel! Love what you're doin, but I remember that video of you helping Fred and being sketchy with the chainsaw haha. I'm a chainsaw carver and imagine if you saw a video of a chainsaywer being sketchy with reptiles. I think that was the reason u got so many comments on that old vid. You're chainsawing safety was much improved for this vid haha. Thanks for all the info on reptiles bud!
Matt is a trooper!
Well done Matt!! You were EXTREMELY aware of your surroundings. Super important with all those teeth on either side of you. Lol!🐊❤️🐊
you guys should get some polarised sun glasses so you can see under the water, works for fishing!
Matt reminds me of Will Nace. Totally nonchalant, easygoing and chill. He had no problem jumping over alligator infested water, Lol 😆 and doing what needed to get done. He sounds like a keeper Kenan!
I love it when simple builds work perfectly for what is needed
Yay, bridges!!! Thanks, Matt for helping this crazy dude set up bridges. I can hear a chorus of sighs as each bridge was set in place. Do the bridges need to be tacked down? I am just thinking of the wet seasons.
The bridges look great guys, and welcome to the kamp Matt! 😊
You should be very careful, those bridges might get slippery, especially after the rain.
And they're not that big, so if a gator decided to pounce, its be easy to get knocked off/lose ur balance!
The new bridges look great! Glad that you got it done, as it will def help a lot whenever you are going to feed the gators and trim the enclosure.
Can't wait till you come out and the gators are sunning themselves on the bridges.
Awesome job Matt, great having you be a part of this journey with us!! 🥳
Welcome Matt. Great video and great to see you and Matt being mindful of the location of the gators. Nice work on the bridges.
Maybe you should give them snacks and they won’t be too interested in you 😊
You could be doing the caber toss with those poles at the Highland games! Great install guys, and with gators keeping an eye on you too! No other DIY-ers would do that!!
I think for both safety and aesthetics a rope from tree to tree between bridges would not only look cool but good for safety Incase of a slip had to be had give u something to hold/grab on to just as an extra precaution
Matt seems like a pretty smart and save guy. Nice to have some help at the Kamp.
Those "bridges" you use to have stressed me out so bad lol. Glad you upgraded.
Finally actual bridges!! The pieces of wood were making me nervous everything you walked on them!! Hi Matt!!
It's super important to have another pair of eyes. You can't watch what you are doing and know where the alligators are. Accidents happen when people are careless and take unnecessary risks. It's so important to have channels like this that show people good and safe practice.
Absolutely awesome! Y'all did really great keeping your eyes out for them big babies. Absolute units.
I have been so excited about your bridges that I've watched this video about 4 times now! I know Kate is relieved also. Many thanks to Matt for his hard work.
Great video...mildly terrifying as always. Have you ever considered making a catch area in the lagoon to contain them for these maintenance activities? Not as much fun, but SO much less death.
so good to see the gator bridges finally built! it looks awesome! and hello Matt, welcome and thanks for helping Kenan :)
Make some wooden small fence around the island to be more comfortable around there. Also in other areas around the pond. Yeah of course give some windows in between for gator to access land.
It’s a natural enclosure, not a zoo.
At last you saw the light. Thank God. Now all you have to do is make sure that the bridges are tied well to the ground by means of bolts
You should come by the Bass Pro in Palm Bay FL sometime! I work for the company contracted to care for their animals. We have 8 gators and I think some of our feeding and training techniques might be helpful for use at the Kamp. Love your channel and all that you do for your animals!
Anthony Kiedis ... deep cut.
I'm glad to see your pal Matt didn't SHART during the festivities. I might have. Just a little.
Great idea getting Matt on board!
Another Honorable video not only on Kenans passion, but towards Fred’s legacy continuing on and never ending ~
Well done Kenan and Matt
🙏🏼🤍
good to see no more 4X4's they were a little sketchy. anchor both ends of the bridges to the ground and the next big wind will not move them.
I did not see the video to the end yet but make sure you secure the bridge. You don't want the dynos to mess with it
I would consider anchoring the bridges down, just in case the Lagoon floods again. Wouldn't want them to float away when the water level rises.
Love the bridges. Hello Matt welcome to the fun at kamp kenan.
It’s about time. Would lose my mind if I saw you walk on those little strips of wood again. It ain’t leveled though lol
when you're walking with the large pole it was in sync with the music and that just made it even better.
Thank you Matt for helping Kennan I was so worried watching him cross those little sticks he called a bridge lol now he will be safer
Job well done 👍🏼👏🏼😀
Me personally I'd put up some type of rails just so there's a barrier between you and them as your walking across it would make it 100 times more safer. And just in case you did get grabbed you have something to hang onto. I'd dig four poles into the ground so that it's very sturdy and would be able to support your weight if it came down to that
Welcome, Matt! (See what I did there?) Matt was not only helpful, but also actively participating in Kenan's commentary. I wonder how long it'll take him to get used to the gators? Anyway, I'm really glad to see better bridges....good job, guys!
Well done and welcome Matt! 👍
What an awesome job it would be working for the Kamp!
Ya know, the more I see of Snaggletooth, the more I appreciate what a NICE GUY Slinky actually is!
Slinky has ZERO agenda other than enjoying his enclosure and seeing what Kenan brings for him to eat... as well as getting belly rubs.
I just don't see Slinky eating Kenan. (One of the kids or Kate, maybe!)
I don't know if I'd EVER feel that comfortable around an alligator!
Granted, you have to be careful with Slinky, too, but notice that nothing more sinister than The Pink Panther Theme or Secret Agent Man ever plays in Slinky's Playhouse.
Would be cool to see them basking on top of the bridges
Would love to visit the kamp' one day, it looks awesome
Awesome love this.....hi Matt awesome work dude you done a great a job my ass would have never made it in there I would have been frozen from fear when he went under and I couldn't see him the first time would have been my hint to get the hell out hahhhahahahahaha but that was bad ass you guys done great the gators acted awesome as well and the bridges are cute as well so altogether it was a huge win for the gator
Space love it
Maybe wen the pond drys up u should fence that small island off could be a nice feeding station
This video is great lol so many memories of that 2x4 bridge lol looks awesome man! Cheers to Matt for helping! I love your approach with the gators. You give them a great life and educate us about them. Not everybody wants to wrestle or handle them (that stuff rocks too don’t get me wrong lol) but these gators are amazing but still can jack you up in a second so I appreciate your take and methods with them! Keep it up! 🎸🐊🐊🐊
Happy Friday! 💌
Matt Is a brave man. definitely earned some respect
Every day it looks beter and beter at the kamp .! And great job Matt that was brave
Welcome Matt, nice to have you on the team 👍 love the bridges, the old ”not so much a bridge” was very sketchy
Can't wait to see them basking on the bridges 😁
The whole time thinking, "If Justin Igualada was there he would have them all wrangled at the end of the lagoon giving you plenty of time to place your walkways."
Don't forget to anchor them things down. Just in case the land around erodes without you realizing.
I think you should have left the 2nd one at 12 foot. Better to have to much. Then to little and the island sink in some. But ya both did awesome ! Great job guys
Thanks for ur help Matt.
Outstanding project done well AND safely! 👏
Welcome Mat..hopefully you can keep Kenan in check!.. looking sweet old Fred's lagoon.. grown in nicely 👌.. much love and respect from North Devon, England x
Snaggletooth is my virtual emotional support animal, such a cool snappy boy!
Hi Matt! Thank you for helping Kenan to not feed himself to the gators! Those planks were giving us acid reflux. LOL!
The way that the first Bridge from Land should did the second one the same way i think it been easier and safer. Looks cool
